If the R10 works like the way it is being demonstrated and at its price point is game changing. Over half the price cheaper then Skytrak or Mevo+ but with all the functions that you need.
I have read that RCT balls are required to measure back and spin indoors. It appears from the video that this will compute back and side spin with range balls outside. Is that correct?
Positive it will as it takes all the measurements in a short space. I found the G80 very accurate and it’s far more advanced. It does however uses estimations on a lot of the information, but I can live with that.
Thank you for your question. Yes, the Approach R10 pairs with the Garmin Golf app so you can see metrics in real-time, monitor club performance, view videos and swing metrics, and more. Below is a link to the Garmin Golf app on our website. www.garmin.com/en-US/p/590068
My unit grossly underestimates. I use it indoors and it might be to do with this. This guy's swing is conducive to a carry of more than 234 so this illustration shows underestimation. Albeit, they are range balls.
is that face to path or face to target? If it's face to target, based on the numbers you'd think that would be a nice push draw and the ball wouldn't have gone right - unless the measurements were wrong?
Those numbers don't match the ballflight. A face that is left of path will always turn right to left. Only thing I can think of is maybe a heel strike & there's a bit of gear effect going on. 🤔
Good morning, I'm an Italian professional, I wanted to know if the Garmin R10 approach also made videos and if it could all be sent via email. I'm interested, how much does it cost? Thank you
Thank you for your questions. The Approach R10 automatically records videos, so you can see and analyze your own swing. The video also features your real stats overlaid on each shot. You can then share the mp4 file through the phone's OS sharing suite. You can find more information on the Approach R10 and price from the Garmin Italy website. I hope this helps. www.garmin.com/it-IT/p/695391
How can the radar have any information about the club path and the club face?!?! I'm very confused. If they actually have access to those with a simple $600 radar this is life changing technology.
@@ernesthemingway2885 That's probably true. My understanding of the radar behaviour is very basic. It's interesting that the 237 previous radar monitors only predict what the ball does (distance, etc.), and the R10 can tells us what the club does with the same technology. Hence my question: What's different now?. I'm, unironically, all hears.
@@andronikoszinakus6644 Thanks! I cannot wait to see the comparison then with the Quad and other high end devices to know if we are getting useful information or just semi random numbers.

One concern - that 3 wood spin rate is extremely high and shows that the ball actually spun backwards after landing. That is very atypical - will there be planned firmware updates to continuously improve this simulator/monitor? Otherwise tracking driver and 3 wood will be very tough especially.
on the clip you can see he tee'd up the ball but on the same clip in the app you can see the ball lies on the ground But i'm all with you, why would you show a clip of him hitting a driver and jump to the result of a 3W without warnings
@@Marcour12 good catch, just re-watched it but yeah, why show driver swing but use stats from 3w swing. Main reason I questioned it also was that his numbers were not good if he was using a driver. For playing collegiate golf and playing for so long i was expecting better numbers, lol
Looks very promising and wanting to order but I'm an Android user and don't want to pay $300/yr for a few courses, that are free for Iphone users so will be waiting.
You're assuming the data displayed is correct but many RUclips reviewers show that this Garmin R10 is vastly and wildly inaccurate with various metrics (swing path, ball flight, carry/total distance, etc.) ESPECIALLY the spin rates as the club gets longer. So if you think and trust the data the R10 provides/displays, you're in for a shock in a real world, golf outing. It IS half the cost of many other launch monitors but half as accurate as well... so what's the point? I suppose having it, will let me swing my club all winter long (while the snow falls here in Minnesota) in my basement, which allows me to "play" golf and keep the golf muscles "alive"...
You got links to the videos that say it's poor. I've watched a view and they're all raving. Maybe they're paid for. I'm interested in buying one so let me know.

Unit doesn’t work as illustrated in these introductory videos Straight 100 yard gap wedges outdoors with prefect alignment between ball and R10(6’ behind ball) would record 25 yard slice Indoors unit would fall asleep within seconds of initial shot data being displayed. if you believe the garmin is tracking the same measurements as a mevo+ for a 3rd of the price and at half the distance...I have a bridge to sell you. This is literally the same price as the garmin g80 lol they just added some extra "calculations".
"Extra calculations"? They aren't calculations, they're observations. Launch Angle and Launch Direction are observations by the radar. The R80 doesn't have those because it physically cannot get it. Additionally, this has all of the spin numbers you could want except I'm sure they will be off to a degree. But that's ok because the Mevo+ is pretty far off a GC Quad so if this is in the same ballpark of "off" compared to the Mevo, then its really the Mevo that's the bridge you're talking about selling. It consistently gets Launch Angles and Distances (Carry and total) wrong compared to the 2 big heavyweights. I'm still waiting for reviews and comparisons from guys I trust who have Trackman's and GC Quads but I only need it to be within a % of those to make it worth it.
Spend the extra dollars and get the Mevo plus. Outstanding unit and has been a game changer for me and I have learned so much about my swing in a 2 month period.
What am I getting by spending x3 more on the Mevo Plus. The garmin hasn't been fully reviewed or tested yet to make any kind of informed decision. Yet you say spend more dollars 🤔
The blurring of the bottom of the Jordans 😂
Just about to purchase one in a couple of weeks

Not really, his attack angle was negative so it would spin a lot
Those aren't the numbers of his driver shots right? On the screen it showed 3W
