That’s why people don’t know all of Jesus is. They only know that God is love . God is holy & just . God wants to see Jesus in you & not your sin. You strive to be holy before God cause sin separates people from God. So many people don’t know the true word but only what their false teachers tell them cause they would rather be seen good in the eyes of men other then the eyes of God. The reason they are upset is cause they love their sin more than God. If they loved God they would not be getting upset at him for preaching the word of God.

Don't forget that the Catholic Church commissioned a lot of statues, paintings, and religious artwork at a time when most people were illiterate and therefore unable to read the bible for themselves. My own grandmother couldn't read or write and she had multiple religious iconography in every room in her house!
I think the art helped educate the public about the bible, the statues in particular creating the effect of realism, of the characters having existed thus their stories having been factual.

They ask him how he knows the Bible is objectively true and he says because of his own actions (kinda circular reasoning--it's true, so he's preaching; he's preaching, so it's true), and because of how a particular Bible verse claims that the Bible is true.
Then he claims masturbation is a sin because you're not supposed to lust after other people, according to the Bible. That's stretching it a little on its own, but she never claimed to be masturbating TO someone, in this video anyway. It wouldn't necessarily be a sin on its own.
He also denounces an entire part of Christianity entirely, Catholicism, as a "screwy religion" with very little to back that up. He continues to make claims that are on the surface very offensive without having anything to support them; when questioned, he quotes a verse that is only marginally related.
I didn't see a whole lot of homophobia in this particular video, but I did see a preacher who hasn't thought out his words very well and seems to be very bad at his job, unless he's trying to actively get people to dislike Christianity.

I do agree that he is trying to show love through telling them that they're sinning, HOWEVER, who is he to judge? Everybody sins in their life, whether it's once or twice or everyday. Plus, everyone has a different approach to their religion, some see it more as a guide through life rather than strict rules. It's really all about perspective and everyone has a right to their own.

I believe this guy was ill prepared with his deliverance if he did in fact start out with telling people they are going to hell. Preaching the Gospel should be done out of love, not by scaring people. I know that before I was a Christian, if someone would've come up to me and started put with "You're going to hell...!" I would've immediately turned a deaf ear and probably acted like some of these people did, like the girl who spit on him even. He aroused anger in non believers and expected them to receive a message from him...you just CAN NOT do that.
Why? At least be upfront with the threats your religion's claims, you can't just show someone in a document with big letters oh god loves you and hes watching out for you! But in tiny letters in the back somewhere you put "oh and if you make him angry he will fuck you up".

The only "judgements" Christians are allowed to make, according to the bible, are moral judgments as correction to those that are in the church (body of believers). I have had some really great conversations with others that do not believe as I do. I can tell them the Word of God and they listen. Why do they listen, you ask? Because I am not beating them over the head with a book that they do not understand. I tell them the Word of God, yes, but I am telling them in a "language" that is totally understood. That language is Love.
I don't agree with the ugly remarks of the students, but with the way that he attacked some of the students, I can't say that I blame them.
Being told that you are a sinner is hard enough to hear. Having it told to you in such a way that is hurtful is NOT going to change someone's heart for God. In reality it will repeal them.
Earlier generations were told "if you don't repent you are going to hell!" So they "repented" and were "saved". The fear of a superstition is what compelled them to repent. Some only did it with lip service and then were scared for the rest of their lives that they were not perfect.
This generation is completely different. They don't have the fear of superstitions like earlier generations did. They think with logic and understanding. They tend to deduce the Word of God the way they can a science experiment. If it makes absolutely no sense then they are going to reject it. We have to speak to this generation with the love of Christ.
The only people that Jesus yelled at were the "Biblical" Teachers of his day and the money changers in the synagogue. Everyone else, the ones that the religious people called sinners...them he had dinner with; talked with; walked with, and even worked with a few times. He showed love. He did not show anger to the "ignorant" ones (as someone so gracefully pointed out on here). He loved them. He ministered to them, and more than anything HE related with them.
So the next time someone has the chance to hear the Word of God from you lips, please make it in love, because that was what Jesus commanded us. Love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Do unto others as we would have them to unto us.

My only comment to him if he is starting an argument would be to PROVE that his god exists. For instance there are people that had a tumor and it was on an X-ray after praying they took another x-ray and the tumor disappeared. For instance my wedding ring I had lost it and my husband and I were praying and we looked in this really small area on the countertop there was nothing there my husband turns around and my ring was there. These are events that Christians experience we don't need proof to believe because once you accept Jesus into your life he changes you so you know he's real

To be honest, he doesn't seem like a good preacher. He's getting angry with them for questionng what he's saying, but he should have expected that to happen. He should be telling them that God loves them, not that God hates them or what they are.

The single greatest counter-argument that everyone seems to miss is that Jesus never once even _mentioned_ homosexuality in the Gospel, let alone condemned it. The only place in the Bible you will find anything that even possibly alludes to sexuality is in the Old Testament. But this is a comment section, not a podium, so I won't spend an hour of my day typing my explanation as to why the Old Testament is b.s. and why it should be obvious that it is, unless you all really want me to.
Well it shouldn't take an hour it's just 2 scriptures- 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:8-11. These were men taught by Jesus. But this preacher is sick in the head. He is the direct opposite of how the bible says you teach and interact with people.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, whether you’ve heard it or not, this message of God is Worthy of being proclaimed for all eternity which it is. It’s about what God has done for mankind that we may be saved from sin and the punishment/ penalty of it and be reconciled to God. God did all this for us through His Son Jesus Christ. Why do we need Jesus because we’ve sinned against God, we’ve offended Him, broken His Holy Law, we’ve lied, lusted, stolen, hated, done all this evil in our hearts even if it hasn’t been done physically. In light of this we deserve God’s Wrath, His Justice because God is Holy, He is Righteous, Just and Good and we are not. On the day of Judgement God judges us by His Standard His Law the Ten Commandments everyone is found guilty and belonging to Hell/ Lake of Fire.
But because of God’s Mercy, His Love, He Sent Christ to Suffer and Die for us on The Cross so that the punishment and penalty we deserve because of our sin it was laid on Jesus Who took our place on The Cross, He Atoned for our sin By The Shedding of His Blood. And on the third day He Rose from the dead because death couldn’t hold Him and for our justification, a Statement from God for all creation to see that His Son Jesus Paid the Price to reconcile us to God. Because of what Jesus did God can Righteously and Justly forgive us and give us His Gift of Eternal Life which is His Grace.
What we all need to do
and for yourself to be sure of God’s Salvation for you is to repent meaning turning away from our sin, by recognising that we are wrong before God and being sorry for it and seeking to live His Way. And then putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ Who becomes Our Lord and Saviour and following Him forever, obeying and living to please Him.
Reminder:
Salvation is a free gift.
You can not earn your way to heaven by your good works
that you do.
God looks at the heart of each man. So you cannot manipulate your way into God’s kingdom.
It is a relationship with
God not a religion.

It always confuses me how gay people can be Christians as well, when it clearly states in the OT that homosexuality is a sin. I know that they somehow try to reconcile it by saying the NT negates the OT -- but what do they make of NT verses like Matt 5:17 where it says this simply isn't the case? Do they simply gloss over it and ignore it?
(For the record, I don't buy into anything that's in the bible, and feel you should be free to worship -- or not worship -- anyway you wish, and live your life anyway you wish.)

The Bible said that homosexuality is bad. Well in the 50s and 60s when African Americans were fighting for their rights, people used the Bible to explain that desegregation shouldn’t happen. Stupid right? The Bible also says not to blend fabrics, not to cut your hair, and not to trim your beard. This man obviously trims his beard, cuts his hair, and I can almost guarantee you that he owns clothes made of mixed fabrics. Basically you shouldn’t use Christianity to oppose homosexuality because it just doesn’t make much sense.
If I were the I would scream “WEARING MIXED CLOTH CLOTHES IT A SIN!!!!!” Because it IS a sin. It states in the Bible that all sins are equal in the eyes of God. But Jesus died for our sins and all they ask of us is to believe in them and ask for forgiveness. That is all we can do. In one of the FIRST chapters of the Bible it says that After the forbidden fruit was consumed the world was no longer perfect and sin would be a reoccurring thing. There is NO possible way NOT to sin. No it’s not your nitpicking it from the Old Testament which of those commands were for the Jews any time in the place with many different customs and Cultures around them Christ fulfilled the law of Moses so people are free from the curse of the law
