Someone is spreading rumors about you, huh? Author/Speaker Brooks Gibbs gives you some wise advice. If you feed the rumor with denial, anger, or emotion... it will grow. However, if you let the people say and think whatever they want about you, it will die out sooner than later. Feel free to set the record straight with the truth, just refuse to show your anger to the general public when people talk bad about you. Keeping calm and kind in the midst of a rumor is difficult, but absolutely necessary if you hope it will die soon.

I had a rumor spread in middle school about my sexuality and unfortunately I let it get to me. Resilience was not a characteristic I had at the time and I really wish I had heard this advice back then. Thank you for what you do Brooks
