Thanks for the comment Jeff! Yea that could be next! This ditch was a mess the first time I went to look at the job. It's really nice coming across it now with the rip rap and the landscaping they've done.
For a while yes. Eventually the voids between the rocks will fill up with dust and dirt and seed and grow again. But the fabric is also there to protect the dirt underneath from eroding.

How bad did the rip rap tear you're tracks up?
Not bad. I didn't notice anything. It's not as bad as sharp broken up concrete.
Will that material under riprap keep out weeds?
