Affordable from a professional filmmakers perspective. Obviously its hard on RUclips for people to throw around that word because to some its a $500 Panasonic G7 is affordable 4K video camera. But the way they shoot is very "affordable". Most BTS I see them use the RED handled or on sticks (tripod). A lot of modern commercial companies are filming on Movi's attached to steadicam vests or Porsche camera cars and lenses that costs $80,000 each. Yes they have a expensive camera to the average person, RUclipsr or beginner filmmaker but for them to own 1 or 2 REDs with Sigma and Canon glass is very affordable in comparison to production companies comparable in size.

correct.
the Chromebook was a distracting scene from what we wanted to focus on. -cmike
Wait what happened then, I didn't see the original

"I want the video to be something informative that filmmakers can turn to for reference as to what gear to get in 2018, and the current editing style with the chromatic aberration and hyper editing didn’t really jive with that. Also, the piece could be trimmed down a lot more and could include more informative b-roll.
In other words, it’s not ready for prime time yet. Just needs a bit more work and it’ll be live again.
Oh, and the Origin comment will probably stay. That was fine. We had a lot of quality issues with their machines and felt it would be disingenuous to promote them as machines you can work on. They’ve been fine for gaming at Node.

Sweet, just got one of those little Aputure lights, was looking for something portable like this with good light quality.
I love these vidoes from the boys taking it back to the good ol days
the music in this video freaking awesome :D
You MUST do more action shorts like frozen crossing or tether ! Just like back in the old days.
That lens swap from Cmike was sexy
So other than the Chromebook criticism, I couldn't tell the difference between the 20 and 13 minute cut. Case study in editing I guess.
Corridor Crew is #1 channel
Great, great, GREAT video! Thanks!
Okay okay, I solved my problem. At 10:43 is the PEAKDesign capture and lens kit. I couldn't quite hear what he said, but I figured it out. Ordered mine!
Yeah this was awesome. I have some catching up to do for you guys. Also guess I need to get that Canon AD
I know I'm a little late to the party but I just stumbled upon this video. When filming vlogs (or whatever you call what cmike is doing here), have you ever encountered the problem that the on-camera microphone is picking up the noise from the autofocus of the lens? All my L-Glass from Canon is incredibly noisy and I only have one STM lens, which is 40mm and therefore not the best for vlogging. Thx!
Great video guys! We're rockin' the Sigma Arts and Litepanels Astra panels too. So awesome.
Have you all used the Quasar Science crossfades? Looking to pair those with our Astras. Cheers!
I HAVE THAT BENRO TRIPOD AND I LOVE IT. (It's an Aero 2)
I love this video but I’ve got to be honest, I feel like there are some GREAT cheaper alternatives. Granted I don’t have a lot of these items you guys are showing. However I’ve shot a lot of shorts on various Canon D series and it looks great. Still grateful you guys made this video though.
Why not use something like a "avantree priva iia" it supports 2 bluetooth headsets and is battery powered.
I'm gonna buy the table. This is gonna be epic
Just wondering how you guys handle focus and aperture on those sigma lenses since I don't see any rings for aperture on the lens or a system to put a (remote) follow focus. Is it all done inside the camera?
AT897 is a underappreciated work horse.
YAS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS TO BE REUPLOADED
Finally re-uploaded
Wow,, You have a great collection of gear! Thank you for introducing!🤩
Hey, the video isn't painful to watch now.
Yay! Thanks!
Also make sure to get a lawyer and an accountant!! A must have for any filmmaker
Love you guys .. been watching corridor and node for years
I use Gh5 for video and 5Dmk4 for photo
Great video guys!
"this all about the gear that lets you do things with out the headaches" yet the headache is scrounging together probably close 100k to afford most of this.
I think this is more about established professionals rather than up and coming beginners.
I'm so happy this is back up :')
You guys might not see this comment, but I wanted to know your opinion on the gh5. Ive got mine with a metabones speedbooster 0.71x and canon/sigma lenses.
This is an awesome guide! Thank you guys for making this vid. Maybe you guys could hit up Clint and Wren to do a outdoors/backpacking/snowboarding gear vid. Ive been looking for good water resistant cameras for a while but im still not sure what to get.
I'm surprised Sam didn't mention anything about Natural light and reflectors. He should've made it 5 types of light, it's a much nicer number to remember.
Yay the video is back and here to stay!
this gear is totallly out of my budget but you guys are entertaining so i stayed :)
Im curious about the beef with Origin PC
This Reminds me of the old school Sam and niko vids. I like it!
