Just installed Stage 1 last night on my 2021 S1000RR. Massive difference. Excited to take it out on track this weekend! Thanks for the videos Bill, they are super helpful!
Just updated my 2015 RR with stage 1 and 2. Had a couple little problems, but Bren T worked out the first issue and we’re working on the second (downshifting a little tough). I will say the bike is alive now and of course, customer service is spot on.
Thanks for posting. Your recommendation has convinced me to do the tune. Now all I have to do is save my pennies. Not only do I need to pay for the tune, but also need to pay for a new PC laptop. We are an Apple only household. Regarding the high rev of the bike when you start it. An article (don't remember where) stated the high revs were to comply with Euro 5. The reason being that the quicker/faster the bike warms up the more efficiently the fuel burns. So high revs to warm up the bike quicker to reduce emission. Imho, it is a bit ticky-tack.
@@s1krocket Thanks for the feedback. Is this something you actually did? I ask because my previous experience with these windows emulators have proven a bit of a challenge when it comes to usb connections.
Maybe you can see about a friend lending you a device, seems a bit rough to buy a whole laptop 😅 Good luck with the tune, we love ours. Videos coming soon.
@@CaliMotoTV borrowing somebody's computer becomes complicated every time I have to re-install the stock mapping when taking it to the shop. Will save my pennies for a few months and see where it gets me.
Good review on the stuff people need to get the best out of the bikes they purchase with the factory settings to get the euro certs that leave bikes pretty lean as,, standard ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️Good to hear from you and no messing if it doesn't work you tell it like it is 👍👍👍👍from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated
Would you have still sold your original RR had you installed this tune on it? I recall you had a number of complaints, but the big one was the huge flat spot in the power band, which this fixes.
We didn't tune it due all the stop sale issues and we didn't want to risk any warranty push backs caused by the tune. Now that we've tune this one, we're pretty sure the first would have gotten sold too, just not quite as fast.
@@CaliMotoTV Why? What changed during ownership, post-tune, versus your expectations? The V4S is not that much more expensive, but all the mods are like twice the price, and I have all the tooling for BMW, so I’m really interested in my you’re still not happy.
I am wondering how there are some videos of same s1000rr allegedly doing more than 330 kmh gps speed. Meanwhile the bike in the video is struggling above 180mph (290kmh) and not even gps speed. I don't think it is gearing only.
@@CaliMotoTV Ah okay, I’ve been kinda MIA since my accident, thanks for the reply. I just ordered mine and your videos have always been very informative, I really enjoy them. Keep up the great work, can’t wait to see what comes next!
Every tune I've ever seen or heard of voids the factory warranty technically. If you find a dealer that will look the other way, then there's that, but ya warranty is toast once you tune.
@@Fro_Low Some ECUs will still show that it has been flashed even after you flash it back to stock. If you ask 10 people you'll get 10 different stories when it comes to flash and warranties. In my experience it comes down to the specific dealer and whether or not they're willing to look the other way and just process a warranty claim for you.
Anything you do can and will be used against you if your dealer is a stickler. Most dealers will work with you, if they don't find support someone who will.
@@CaliMotoTV yea I asked my bmw dealer after it being in the shop longer that what I’ve had it, they said they can lie about the exhaust that’s okay but not the ecu flash that will void the warranty
@@CaliMotoTV So do I, but after the tune it doesn't seem to matter what setting you use it's the same. I use lowest setting and after tune its gone. Doesn't matter if I put it in highest max setting still none.

Nice! Ride safe 🎉
Gorgeous bike..I’m 6’ 245 and would love to own this..feel like I’m too big for it though…enjoying your content..ride safe out there 🤙🏽
Bill is 6'2 and 240lbs and fits great on it
Lol, I'm 330 and getting to 245 is my goal . You should have no problem riding this bike at 245
Same size as you and I have this bike in '23 S1000RR and it fits me fine. And also have the same tune.
Idles high to get the engine and catalytic converter hot faster so the exhaust gases gets dealt with faster 👍
Thanks for the info.
Cat pre-heat! The quicker it heats up the sooner it can reduce emissions. Noise is less of a concern.

Nice! Glad to hear they're helping out.
Why did you say the single R is better? I struggle to understand anything that is better, other than back & wrist comfort of course. Can you clarify?
Great video, but the background music kind of took away from being able to hear you and the bike
Noted.

Are you going to do the AIT relocation?
Yes. But you don't need it. They can keep the flappers open with the ECU.
The new colour s1000rr is really looking badass! what is the brand of the titanium headers?
Stay tuned for a video!

Is the warranty voided? I’m torn between buying the 2021/2022 S1000rr or R1? I dont know what to do

Any news on the 22's built later having a lock? Mine was built December 2021.

It won't adjust for race fuel or E85. That requires different fuel maps
Do you use stock levers?
Yes.
Do you work on other peoples bikes?
