    The aviary is great, but I'm afraid that a quail might drown in that pool. I hope you put something along the sides of the pool so the birds can get out of it.

    You did a great job. I live with lots of snow. I did a top like that but used trees with bird netting and snow crusted it. Sad, sad day.

    Awsome! Just a note, the rooster pheasants get aggresive with pretty much anything unless they have no competition for females, you might have to get rid of some roosters in the future

    Are they the same type as the pheasants in Kansas? What will you do with them when they are grown?

    • @YowellsHoppinHilltopFarm
      @YowellsHoppinHilltopFarm  4 года назад +2

      I am not sure about Kansas but these are Chinese Ringneck and melanistic mutant and once they are full grown we will keep some of them in the aviary but we will have to get rid of some of the males so they don’t pick on the females too bad.

      Just pets! They are beautiful animals and I just like watching them and feeding them along with the ducks and chickens!

      @@YowellsHoppinHilltopFarm ok. Yes the are a beautiful bird alright. When you start breeding them . Just remove most of the cock bird's as they will fight. I used to just pair them up 3 females to 1 male. But I did find 2 cock bird's with 8 hens worked good also . Go and get yourself some Bob white and Californian quails. They are extremely easy to look after and breed really well. I don't know if you can get grouse and woodcock and red legged Partridge they are very nice also. Nice bit of property you have there .👍
