- Crepe
Milk - 1 glass
Lime juice - 1 tbsp
Baking powder - ½ tbsp
Salt - ¼ tap
Puffed rice - for garnishing
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Egg - 1
Essence of your choice - as per taste
Oil / butter/ ghee - 2 tbsp
Maida - 1 glass
Filling
Milk powder - ½ cup
Softened Butter - 8 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp or as per taste
Milk - very little
Hi everyone, today I am going to make buttercream crepe rolls..
First, dry roast puffed rice in a pan until it heats up a bit and turns crunchy and then transfer the roasted puffed rice into a plate and then gently crush it with the bottom of a glass or a small bowl..
do not blend in a mixer grinder jar and powder it, you still need texture for the garnish.
This Ganesh will go on top of the crepes..
Next, gently heat a glass of milk in a saucepan and add a tablespoon of lime juice to it. You need not bring the milk to a boil, only let the milk heat up a bit..
If you're using normal drinking glasses to measure the ingredients, make sure to use the same glass to measure all the ingredients for the entire recipe.
After adding the lime juice, the milk will start to cuddle a bit. As the milk starts to cuddle, set it aside .
For the next step, empty a glass of plain flour into a mixing bowl, along with half a tablespoon of baking soda, a quarter teaspoon of salt and 4 tablespoons of sugar and mix it with hand whisk to combine.
You can adjust the sugar according to your taste preference.
Next, add the curdled milk, an egg and some essence as per your taste preference to the dry mixture and mix well together to form a lump free batter ..
Once the batter is ready, let it rest while we prepare the filling for the wrap..
To prepare the filling, transfer 8 tablespoons of salted or unsalted softened room temperature butter into a mixing bowl and add half a cup of milk powder, a tablespoon of sugar or sugar as per your taste and very little milk to combine everything into a creamy mixture.. mix all the ingredients really well so that all the ingredients are combined very well into a thick and lump free and smooth cream.
Once the cream is ready, set it aside and start preparing the crepes for the wrap..
To prepare the crepe, heat a nonstick pan and pour a ladle of batter into the centre of the pan and spread it into an even thin layer, and let it cook on a medium to low heat.. after you have spread the batter, sprinkle a small amount of the dry roasted puffed rice on top of the batter before the batter cooks and sets.
Once the crepe has been cooked, transfer it onto a plate and let it cool down completely.
After it has cooled down, put the sprinkle side down and spread a generous amount of the prepared butter milk powder cream and roll it from one end to the other and it’s ready to be served!! :)
