      yeah, and he had already composed several orchestral pieces, which is why this one is so...busy. Of course, normal people don't try to speedrun the thing. I urge you to find literally any other performance if you've never heard this piece.

    This piece is sometimes very similiar to Tschaikowsky, his big Idol. His later works aren't like this. Very beautiful

    I don't very much care for Ogdon's performance here. He tears through it, and plays everything far too staccato. It's like being beaten over the head with a baseball bat. Listen to Rachmaninoff himself play it, he plays it much more slowly and allows everything to flow, as I think a Nocturne should. (Rachmaninoff takes 4:39 to play it! Nearly twice as long!)
    Technically speaking, though, Ogdon's playing is absolutely amazing.

    the peace is great, but ... I don't want to say bad Things about ogdon, but in my Opinion this interpretation wasn't sooo good. There wasn't much feeling in it I think. But Technically great (: Thanks for sharing
