Hi Nick Super tribute to this modern legend !! I just don't know why but I'm just so fascinated by your little whimsical declarations of love for this single but unique specific car model. Im sure it must be a very narrow audience for these videos, but I definitely get what you mean. There is no one next to or above the Suzuki Jimny JB74, an icon is born...
Thank you for your comment. What I'm trying to do with my channel is to present a another "take" on what freedom means and why a car like the Jimny can help you achive more of that.
I've had my jimny for 7 months and it's just had its 15k service, everything I've done with it over that time is pretty well summed up in this video. It's not a status symbol or anything fancy, it's just a reliable mate that's always there when you need them.
Nice video, you can see how much "love" or better said appreciation you have for your vehicle. This is how man felt for horses a long time ago, that's why they were so cherished, because they offered freedom. The Jimnys and Vitaras are great cars, I used a small vitara some years ago and loved it. And it might not be Monte Carlo flashy, but it sure does look nice, I would have no problem pulling up in that car just about anywhere.
Hi Nick Got my brand new Jimny yesterday. Jungle green…..20 km yesterday and 100 km today. The smile on my face is as large as when I drive my 1980 88” Land Rover. But I can take the Jimny to work in Aarhus. More difficult with the old diesel LR. Maybe I should take my red Gibson 335 and the small Fender Champ outside here in Gravlev Syddjurs and play a song for my Jimny 🥰 Love your videoes. Think we feel the same way about simplicity 🌞 Lots of regards Jesper
@@nickmogensen Tires are a jungle. But - we live in Denmark. Wanted to stick with stock size for the Jimny. Like the narrow tires. And we have snow 😊 sometimes. Think they are mounted next week. Can let you know.
Whilst the Jimny is relatively simple by most modern day vehicles what it isn't is protected against rust from the factory, if rust prevention isn't carried out it will almost dissolve in front of your eyes and to me that is not good enough.
All cars will rust in front of your eyes in the "right" climate if you don't get some rust proofing. The Danish Soviety for Drivers recommends every car to get rust proofing.
@@nickmogensen What I am implying is that the factory applied rustproofing isn't good enough and it should be, the paint finish in some areas is poor and some parts don't even have a top coat applied, there is a corrosion warranty on them but I doubt that is worth the paper it is written on. Some Jimnys that are less than 4 years old seem to have quite a lot of corrosion and to me that would be very worrying.
