      Now that the weather has gotten colder we tend to spend most of our time at home - so we have a lot more free time!

    Welcome Drew! Great painting!
    I love this flosstube. Thank you for sharing your simpler life with us. It has helped me to reevaluate and slow down. Show us some of your canned goods. It will bring back happy memories of my grandmother’s wash house with shelves of canned fruits and vegetables. Think Prim Christmas colors!

    I really like the School Days cross stitch you framed yourself. I think it looks prim and perfect. I frame all my stitching myself with mostly thrift store frames.
    Drew you are very talented.

      Thank you! I frame all of mine myself too and mostly in thrifted frames. I need to learn how to frame though. It’s a struggle for me to get anything centered and straight!

    Rhonda, i knew we had the same taste in stitching, but I also have that same shirt! 😊
    I agree with Drew, on doing a weekly video. Best way to grow the channel, and let us see what you're working on. And thanks for the shout out!

      Drew’s car doesn’t run right now. It’s a project car for Drew and his dad to work on together. Drew will get his permit in 2 years and the plan is to have it running by then!

      @@AsberysEchoesStitches You and Drew remind me of Malia and myself. About once a week we like to take a break from homeschooling about midday and drive to one of our favorite places. Then we come back home and finish our work. It gives them something to look forward to.

    I’m enjoying your Floss tube videos so much! Like you, I feel the world needs to slow down, in order to appreciate the beautiful world before us, and to make memories with our loved ones. You and Drew are doing exactly that, by teaming up on this new endeavor. You are both such gifted creators! Thanks for the inspiration 😊

    $2 charts are usually from 1884 Stitchery. She has an ever-changing selection from acquiring stashes and closed shop inventory. I recently found 3 that I didn't know I needed! I am taking a break from purchasing to concentrate on stitching my stash. Very much enjoy your videos, our shared love of primitive makes each of your stitches inspire me to do more. Drew is very talented with his drawing and painting, charming too. Have a great week.

    Continuing to enjoy your videos, your stitching, and your son’s contributions (behind and in front of the camera)! I have a 12 year-old son who is homeschooled and also loves all things with wheels and engines! Honestly, he’d rather be working with his dad than doing anything school. I’m going to show him your son’s appearance at the end and hope it might inspire him to try painting. Are you using anything in particular to guide the painting for school, or are you just winging it? Thanks so much!

    • @AsberysEchoesStitches
      @AsberysEchoesStitches  11 месяцев назад

      Oh yes - Drew would much rather be in the shop tinkering with his dad than doing anything school related too! We’re not doing a specific art/painting curriculum right now. We’re using The Good and the Beautiful for LA and Math and LA incorporates geography and art and the art is focusing on watercolors. He suffers through the assignment and then will paint something he likes! Last year we did a car maintenance unit and I learned more than he did!

    I enjoy your flosstubes, so very much! And Andrew is such an inspiration. He is very talented and I believe he’ll end up being at a Director of movies or something someday. I love his watercolor picture of his car, is there anything he can’t do? It was amazing.
