I look forward to watching your videos each time they come out, I'd rather watch your family and see your adventures they watch what is on TV. Thank you for blessing us with your knowledge.
I really enjoy vlogs like this, taking us along on your daily chores with a running commentary of what you are doing and your plans. Don't need anything fancy to entertain us, just facing your issues and how you resolve problems. great job.
I really appreciate when you put the breed of the animals on screen, very helpful. Things are coming along on your farm! Love watching new homesteads/farms unfold. Take care
Jason, your video and editing skills are really top-notch. It's a joy just to watch the camera angles change throughout a scene, and your choice and placement of music is magic. Thanks
Raised turkeys for years. They don't have the initial survival rate as chickens. I never use medicated feed EXCEPT for my turkeys! First bag only. Also did not start with chickens.
Curious - how far are y'all from Lorraine's parents at your new home vs. first home? It's cool to see them getting more and more involved in the homesteading lifestyle with you over the past year or so...I know some of that was due to necessity with your prolonged illness last spring/summer but it seems like your FIL really enjoys being outside working the land/animals.
I love seeing how engaged and helpful your father in law is to you, Jason. Family is so important & he seems to be embracing the homesteading chores. Just makes me happy to see.
Beautiful video. I love your editing. The closeups of the chickens with the cool music, Elvira's closeup, Penelope helping you with the wire reels, you sitting in the barn in the rain. Love it all. It looks like this bigger farm is a lot more work. Glad you have Loraine, Penelope, and Randy to help.
My new favorite Homesteading Channel. It's such a pleasure to watch. You keep it simple and not overwhelming. I also, love how you try to keep everything organized and neat. That's tough on a homestead. I enjoy seeing the family and the quick glimpses we get of Lorraine and what she prepares for the meals.
I studied film in my younger life and I got to say that pull out shot from you working on that real to the sow the land bucket in the foreground was quite well done, did not expect that on RUclips.
Penelope is a big help to you now as well as to her Mom with the gardens. I know y'all appreciate having a willing hand. Sorry about the turkeys. I have heard others say they are difficult to get started. Have a Blessed day.
I'd you don't find use for buckets with drill holes. Turn them into worm composting burried buckets for your raised beds :) try one and see how it goes!
You're quickly becoming my favorite channel on RUclips. I'm at a point in my life where I want want you have and am starting to put a plan in motion. The difference between your channel and others is you're just starting on a new homestead and everything is new, you're still finding a rhythm. A lot of channels have done it all by now but everything here is fresh and new. I've found you at the right time and look forward to every new video. Love your work, keep it coming.
Jason how relaxing is it sitting in Horse Stables listening to the rain while you work- I miss it so much as I do not have horses anymore & really miss that smell. Wow you guys are doing so well on your new farm, I love watching & try to never miss a video. Cheers Denise- Australia
I have loved watching you since the beginning but your videos have gotten to be so much fun with your editing and your enjoyment of life with your new place❤️
Love the pie shaped pasture, sounds like a great idea. Always had classical music playing in my office, not so much in my car. That big barn is going to be nice when you get it fixed up. Cheers.
I have been watching youtube vlogs for a very long time. While we have been homesteading for 16 years I always come back to your vlogs as you keep it real, keep it simple and always try to not overspend. I find so many of the homesteading vloggers spending so much money which many homestead newbies may not realize. I also enjoy your sense of humor. Peace and love to your family. Wishing you all the best and may your tractor dreams come true :) Beautiful Family! p.s. Turkeys are very hard to raise. Once they get a bit bigger and older it gets better. It is suggested to NOT put them in with any other chicks or such as turkeys will eat the chick poop which can cause problems when they are young. They will also eat shavings which can cause a problem in the crop getting stuck not allowing food to pass on down.
Look forward to the day you pick up a fence reel and some pickets and set up a paddock in 10 minutes without a second thought. It’s just around the corner 😊
That barn is going to be such a bonus Jason, can't wait to see what you can do with it once its all organised. Have you thought about installing a steel girder to use for hoisting feed pallets off the trailer? Not sure how easy that is to do but might help you in the future.
Hi Jason, did you guys recently get new cameras because I noticed a large improvement in both clearness and light quality. Your videos are looking great and love seeing how you all are growing and improving while sharing your story. :)
Jason, a suggestion for a video. You talk about making a change in the way you move your cattle. You should do a video illustrating how you move the Beefy Brothers. Perhaps utilize a dry erase board and different colored pens to show how you used to corral them and show your new movement method. We are considering having beef on our homestead and we are curious how others move/manage their pasture. As always, we enjoy your content. Sorry about the turkeys. :(
Wooh! I'm glad you got the reels. They make a huge difference. We also didn't like those cup chicken waterers. They are a great idea but would jam up and not always work. Awesome job on your guys' progress and renovations!
Make things with those pellets. Outdoor furniture and animal enclosure etc. We here in South Africa make wonderful furniture out of old pellets. They are very handy to have
i like your philosophy on knowing the struggle before the luxury, like with the reels and the coop doors it shows how adaptable and appreciative you are of really learning as you go
This^^^!!!! We went from losing over half the first time to all staying alive the second time by switching to game bird crumbles with 22-28% protein depending on the brand.
Suggest using red bulb(s) in the brooder. White light makes it difficult to sleep. Since turkeys are more delicate birds, it's important they have good sleep. It doesn't look like there's any shaded area for them to move away from the heat lamp when too hot. Suggest putting the baby goose in the chicken' brooder and not putting any chicks with the poults. Birds can handle normal deaths. When abnormal or too many occur, it stresses them out. This can lead to losing 50% to 100% of a flock. Think in terms of calming down the poults. Removing the goose and chicks, which are stronger birds, should help and protects them from being traumatized by seeing (more) abnormal deaths.
Saw your brother in troph delema...if you put your troph under your fence between the pasture there in and the next one he won't be able to stand in it as the fence is to close .🤩
Hi haven't seen you guys in a long time. You have more to take care of now on the new place. You all are doing good job. I haven't seen a mineral salt block yet for your steers. They do need it very much. Glad you are getting more successful. Good luck Roberta
Turkeys are notoriously fragile. Out of 17 eggs, 7 hatched, and 5 are still alive. This is not new. 10 years ago I bought 10 white midgies, 7 survived the first month, and 5 survived a year. If the survive, the can live up to 15 years. The 5 I have surviving from this year are poultry from my 10 yo Tom, who is one if the original white midges.
You all look so very happy. Love your new place and all you've done already in such a short time. Your neighbors the Hollars seem like great friends. Turkeys are tough. It's all a learning process. Don't give up.
I look forward to watching your videos each time they come out, I'd rather watch your family and see your adventures they watch what is on TV. Thank you for blessing us with your knowledge.
Jason, for whatever reason, you look like you have so much inner peace since the move.
He has definitely found his groove.
I really enjoy vlogs like this, taking us along on your daily chores with a running commentary of what you are doing and your plans. Don't need anything fancy to entertain us, just facing your issues and how you resolve problems. great job.
Enjoy your videos! What’s your chicken feed recipe?
Yes for sure. Resolving problems helps others with maybe the same issues or similar issues.
I really appreciate when you put the breed of the animals on screen, very helpful. Things are coming along on your farm! Love watching new homesteads/farms unfold. Take care
I really like that you've put the breeds of your animals on screen. Everything's looking so green and nice!
Love your intro music! Penelope is so blessed to have two wonderful teachers at her home school❤️❤️❤️
Jason, your video and editing skills are really top-notch. It's a joy just to watch the camera angles change throughout a scene, and your choice and placement of music is magic. Thanks
Jason , Use the pig tail post on the corners and then brace them with your step in post . That will help keep your fence tight . Love your videos

looks like Randy is loving homesteading!
I love seeing how engaged and helpful your father in law is to you, Jason. Family is so important & he seems to be embracing the homesteading chores. Just makes me happy to see.
Hi.... Jason and Lorraine, thank you for showing your video homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 🌱🏡🎥👍👍👍

your music and editing are always enjoyable! Love the addition of the names of the breeds of animals. Thanks yall.
Thanks

Thanks!
Take it easy, give yourself time to get to know the land in various circumstances and enjoy it:))))
This intro music always makes me smile. Love to watch your family figure things out and learn from you.
@tractorsupply should give you a little Coleman side by side to bop around on..
Or how about that little motorcycle
I’m glad the reels are making things a lot easier. If I knew you needed more I would have gotten you more. God bless
You are getting very creative with your video editing and it's really great!
Penelope is a big help to you now as well as to her Mom with the gardens. I know y'all appreciate having a willing hand. Sorry about the turkeys. I have heard others say they are difficult to get started. Have a Blessed day.
Looks like things are taking shape and you are having fun. Yah!
THANK YOU FOR THE CLASSICAL STRINGS!!! Beautiful, & your awesome.
I'd you don't find use for buckets with drill holes. Turn them into worm composting burried buckets for your raised beds :) try one and see how it goes!
You and your family are true homesteaders like the Macs, Traditional homesteaders and CountryLiving
Jason, you aren’t doing anything wrong with the turkeys! They are just harder to raise than chickens, in my opinion.
It’s not just opinion! They try to die. If there’s a way, turkey poults will find it.
I love that you put the names up for the chickens
You’re getting there. God bless
I think your cow is cooling off. As always enjoy watching your adventures.
Even watching you clean up the barn Is fun!👏🏻👏🏻
Wow great music for the day and the job.. Great video. I need to be reminded to Stop and regroup, reorganize, and them continue Thanks.

I loved the closeups of the chickens!
Hi everyone 👋 The wheel shaped pasture sounds ingenious. I've never heard anyone using that before. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. 👍🙏🙂
Reels are worth every single cent! I think you've done a great job with all your animals.
How about using the buckets with holes to plant potatoes or carrots in them?
Loved the naming of the critters. Helps the newbies if they see an animal they like. The rooster is so hansom.
Jason how relaxing is it sitting in Horse Stables listening to the rain while you work- I miss it so much as I do not have horses anymore & really miss that smell. Wow you guys are doing so well on your new farm, I love watching & try to never miss a video. Cheers Denise- Australia
Make large compost holders with those pellets. Join them and build a large double decker square.
I have loved watching you since the beginning but your videos have gotten to be so much fun with your editing and your enjoyment of life with your new place❤️

The way you edit these videos is a delight. Love the music choices, and closeup shots. Keep it up brother!
Enjoyed that! 👏👏👏 Loved the the close up of the chickens intro 🐔
I always enjoy your videos. The wagon wheel pasture and water pattern sounds great. Sure saves on moving the water container. 💞
Thanks for the animal I. D. Notes.
With that music and your reeling in the line, it's like visualizing a bass player in an orchestra !! LOL
You guys are truly HOME(STETTERS)! NOW YOUR LIVING IT!! LOVE THE MUSIC,
THAT is the best intro music!
I watch several videos, several channels. Some videos I watch 2 or 3 times. That often happens with yours 😁

I loved you making music while it was raining …. So ingenious…
Thank you for sharing! 👍 The quality of the video!👍❤️
Jason, thanks for bringing this music back.
Love your intro music. Always gets me in the mood for another excellent video.

Hi, Jason! I love the configuration for the pasture. It seems very convenient.
Your land is so beautiful! 🙏🏻❤️👍🏻😃

I love the creativity with what you have.
I also enjoy the intro musical theme 🙌🏼💗💗💗
Thank you so much!!
Loved the last shot of little brother standing in the water
Make sure you are feeding the turkeys a high protein food. This will make a huge difference
This^^^!!!! We went from losing over half the first time to all staying alive the second time by switching to game bird crumbles with 22-28% protein depending on the brand.
Cooling his hooves.
I really enjoy watching your new journey on the homestead!
Rain! Send us some here in Holly Ridge, NC.
Your barn is fantastic. I never miss a video.

The "Beefy Boys" are cooling off their hoofs!

They love to stand in the shallow part of a pound. Same concept to them
Great job you guys! The animals look so happy! Happy Memorial Day!
Love your videos. So glad you brought back your intro music!

Your really moving along with a routine that seems to work really well. Take care~Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸🤗❤👍
Put shiny marbles in the turkey feed and water they like to peck at shiny objects.
Thank you, for another great video! Beautiful family...
Another great video. 💞💞💞
I've always heard that turkeys were hard to raise the first month and that if you can get past that, you're pretty okay.
happy cows.

could turn them pallets into a club house for lil P or start your compost piles with them
You all look so very happy. Love your new place and all you've done already in such a short time. Your neighbors the Hollars seem like great friends. Turkeys are tough. It's all a learning process. Don't give up.
Fun video, great editing!
When your wife was listing what was on the menu, I added “inflammation” on the end😂
"Little Brother". Hahahaha
Great innovations. Maybe try separating the turkeys?
Fuzzy is a wild child. I love him/her. TFS blessing from California🌴
And wow the garden beds look great and the plants look absolutely great👍
