One of the more defining moments of understanding I am an INTP was when I learned about the TiSi loop. It was highly accurate, and I have lived what seems like years stuck in this loop, unhappy, miserable. As you put it, it becomes obsessive. The mind becomes a self-defeating machine in this state. Nowadays I’m much better, especially as I start understanding psychology. One of my better coping mechanisms has been verbalizing my emotional state in an audio recording on my phone. I listen to it when I am less depressed and find that I am, in fact, able to communicate my emotions when I’m by myself ( I hate being vulnerable around anyone else, even the people who are close to me.) I am better able to forgive myself and let go of what has me trapped in the loop. I definitely suggest that, in addition to writing it down.
This is exactly my childhood issues that has haunted me and was my unhealthy obsession for the past 20+ years. It relieving to know that my experiences are shared with others and is something that can actually be analysed rather than some purely emotional outburst
I just want to say. You describe exactly the things that are happening in my life right now. I am an INTP type 5w4 sexual as well, but I have the added complication of being gay lol. I’ve been a longtime follower man. You’ve helped me more than I can say!! Thank you for making videos you’re good at them for an INTP :P !! Thanks for all you do though really it means a lot the effort you put into these. I swear you read from my consciousness sometimes.
Dylan! So kind of you to share your experience with this loop regarding your sexuality. I have a question about this particular subject and it sounds like you have first hand experience. I’m an infj (I’m gay) and I know we have similar functions but in a lot of ways I feel these two types go about things in a opposite manner…. ANYWAYS I’m hoping you can tell me anything at all about how it was for you (an INTP) when you realized your sexuality. I’m guessing this is what you meant in your comment referring to the looping. I know this is super personal but you have no idea how invaluable this information is to me at this time.
As a tip for the intp loop, i am doing some unofficial research on this subject. Use Ne. It is the only way out. Ne is about interests. As ENTP myself, my answer to interest usually was "i don't know", because in fact, the only valid answer to me was yes. Lean back into Ne. It is a consuming function. Get taken care of. Do what people tell you. maybe make a wheel or something what you go do on a day and spin the wheel. See where life takes you. Plan a holiday for yourself. When you start to think, think about who honestly gives a shit. There is something tremendously freeing in the notion that no one cares about you. It also means no expectation and that you can do anything. Possibilities are limitless. Take it as it comes.
This is exactly my childhood issues that has haunted me and has been my unhealthy obsession that I have tried to overcome for the past 20+ years. It relieving to know that my experiences are shared with others and is something that can actually be analysed rather than some irrational emotional outburst
Interesting video, I used to write out how I felt when I was overwhelmed or felt stuck. Anyway I’ve slowly learned how to express my emotions. I used to hyper-analyse too and have felt stuck for some time. Lately though it’s like somethings change and I can actually verbalise how I feel, which is good but i have a hard time getting the person/s I have a problem with or is triggering me to acknowledge how they’ve hurt me but slowly I’ve stated ti give up cuss it’s pointless. Now I don’t blame myself as much and don’t overanalyse past events to the extent I used to.
I seem to have broken a bit out of the Ti Si loop a lot. Unless that is somehow linked to my extreme lazyness. I don’t think I ponder the past too much anymore, but I might have the great stoics to thank for that. If only I had discipline to go with it, the present would be a lot nicer.
Well described thank you very much , shedding light on the structure of the loop helps a lot. getting caught in the loop itself without recognition of a solution was a good two yrs of life lol. I appreciate it man !
I can't say that I entirely agree with this video (starting with the fact that the loop is temporary), but I will give it a like anyways because I like the explanation. You are clear and make your point well. I think that all this can be explained with other psychological mechanisms, but as this whole MBTI thing is just a hypothesis, I can't prove that you are wrong =) Good video!
As an entp, Fe doesn't feel like a feeling. It feels more like an awareness of a lack there of. You guys are just completely unaware of feeling, but Fe to me is more like an empty parking lot. You know that something should be there, and you can imagine a car to be there with enough imagination. But it feels fake. What i feel is insignificant to how other people feel. I feel through the weighted sum of other people. However it is indirect, and therefore distinct from Fi. It is like you are continuously searching for something, just like Ne.
INTPs and INFPs will experience similar issues being stuck in the past. Other types get stuck in other ways: avoiding, pleasing, impressing, overthinking scenarios, experiences, and more. In my other loop videos I explain the different ways each type can get stuck in a more specific way to each one.
I think he is ENFP Introverts get very quickly social distrain ENFP are little bit Introvert Introverts don't have that much hands assault communication to much social the distrain
I'm INTP, and smoking weed is like pouring gasoline on this loop. Smoking weed is the least enjoyable experience I can ever have, because I get stuck in this loop in the most serious fashion, almost guaranteed.
Yeah I became a stoner and got stuck in the loop for a hot minute, lost friends cause of it. Oh well, learned to stay mostly sober and smoke alone at night on occasion.
I think being able to see why we are the way we are and being able to flow chart and understand our behaviors is a blessing and a curse.

I have a question what it is "Loop"
I think this is strange but I don't know
I really like the behind the camera shot. It’s nice to see some pizazz with sit down and talk videos

This helped me understand it so well. Thank you
Damn, have i been in a Ti - Si loop for over a year now? Sheesh

Excellent video. Thank You.
We start drifting ....
Too much like poetry 😂
Knowledge!!!!
ENFJ here very intriguing conversation 🤔
💀💀💀
Is this really INTP-specific or just a common experience? I think many people have intrusive thoughts and are stuck in the past
INTPs and INFPs will experience similar issues being stuck in the past. Other types get stuck in other ways: avoiding, pleasing, impressing, overthinking scenarios, experiences, and more. In my other loop videos I explain the different ways each type can get stuck in a more specific way to each one.
Great
Agree.. it is really dark, painfull,, OMG,
This might be more of an enneagram type 5 video, tbh. But if its for INTPs or enneagram 5s, its good advice for anyone in this situation =)
id argue evaluating self emotions about these past events is more Fi than Fe. Which is the demon function, probably the worst
