    I shaved some graphite (pencil leaad) into the hole of the pommel (handle) and that solved it for me. Will try the mineral oil next time to see how that works if I have a squeak. Will come and update this post when it starts to squeak again as this was the first time in a year of having the grinder.

      Hey there Kevin! Yes graphite is great too :). It will likely squeak again at some point if it becomes dry - it's just like you would need to keep a bicycle chain lubricated to stop it squeaking :)... We take care of things we love! All the best from Munich :)

    With its evenly grind result, definitely a great grinder tool for cupping for home Roasters. How many clicks would you recommend for Cupping purpose? (when 70-75% of the coffee grinds fall through the size 20 mesh sieve) thanks!

      Thanks Emil! Most people tend to aim for somewhere between 28+ clicks. Remember, not all grinders (and this goes for all coffee grinders!) are completely identical, so it's important to dial in to what suits you best :).

    I got my catchment jar stuck to the main body of the grinder by doing it up too tightly. I imagine this is a mistake you only make once, but a common mistake nonetheless!
    Trick is to soak the grinder in boiling water, so that the water comes 1-2cm up the grinder body, for 2 minutes (more if it's really stuck). Then twist as hard as you can using rubber bands to get traction (or other similar device to grip well). This works by expanding the steel of the main body so that it can be loosened from the jar.
    Hope this helps anyone who has a similar problem as I found it hard to find solutions online.

    Hello do you have any troubleshooting on how to remove the magnet from the crank? I try to fit my comandante crank to another crank but i think the other magnet got stock. Any tips? Thanks

    • @ComandanteGrinder
      @ComandanteGrinder  4 года назад

      Oh, that sounds a bit complicated! So there are two magnets in one crank? That would be very difficult to remove and it's possible you need a new crank. Please contact our Support Team at support@comandante-grinder.com :)

      Comandante Grinder crank replacement is good but as of now i think there can still be a remedy. Yes i think it is two magnets in one crank. Or maybe the magnet pull down a little i tried hammering it back but it was stuck. :(
