@@EvianD-ce4ww the spring's orientation doesn't matter, just the orientation of the washer discs. It's quite nicely explained in the video ☺️
Second day with my Comandante C40 and it has become useless because the jar is stuck. I've tried a lot of different options I've found on the internet and nothing works. I don't know what else to do. That's super frustrating. That would be my 3rd use only.

I tighten it until I can't click anymore, will that damage the grinder?
I accidently found I can force click 3 more clicks after point zero and I just do that
@@EvianD-ce4ww if you did it just once, then for sure there is no damage. Just don't regularly over tighten your grinder.

I got my mk4 and after point zero ( from where arm doesn’t move ) I can force click 2 more clicks is it normal n same with all mk4 I mean all grinders go 2 force click after zero that’s what I want to ask in case my frnd share recipe and he has exact 2 force click after zero in case he is telling me some other zero point ?
Hello, just please don't force clicks beyond 0 point. And calculate/count always from the moment the handle doesn't drop. That's it.

Hello. I bought a Comandante C 60Baracuda Velvet Steel coffee grinder. I should receive my order soon. Some say that the thread on the axis is not reliable. Weak thread. This is true? I don't really believe it. The price is still high. Is the thread secure?

Hi, just got my first comandante c40 mk4 a month ago. While doing my first proper maintenance, I’ve noticed that the top bearing and washer come off with the axle when I remove it. Is that normal? Thank you
Yes it is absolutely normal, these parts are not fixed in place ☺️
@@ComandanteGrinder Thank you! Should I apply some force to remove these parts and clean them? Only the axle would pop out on all videos (without the bearing and washer) on RUclips so I was a bit worried I got a fake c40 😅

Hi there guys. Got my new Mk4 and have a question about (unexpected 😅) burrs. My guide book says that I can start grinding turkish at 1 click after zero point, but my burrs touch each other to 4 click. I know about “floating cone” but is it really safe to grind at 2-4 clicks regularly or it might be harmful to the burrs?
Hello, you can read more about the floating cone in the FAQ section of our website. Then you can be assured that it's safe to regularly grind on 2-4 clicks even when you think the burrs touch on an an empty grinder. It's impossible to damage our burr set in this way ☺️
Die beiden gelb markierten Kugellager die dem redclix beiliegen finden keine Erwähnung. Muss man diese auch tauschen gegen die eingebauten blauen oder kann man die blauen drin lassen?
You can leave the blue ones and just have the yellow ones as potential spare parts. They are identical, just the colour is different.
At the zero point, the arm remained stationary. It only moved when I shook the mill. Is it normal for him to move? Or should I tighten 1 more click? Does grinding at 1 Klicks setting damage teeth?
It's absolutely normal, it can move a bit and it still is a zero click. It depends on how clean is your grinder inside ☺️ and you can of course grind on 1 click but it's too fine for most brewing methods.
My bean jar is stuck to the grinder. Can you give me an advice how to open it ?
@ariskirwanto6310 There are two easy ways to fix the issue: - use a hairdryer and blow warm air on the jar for a few minutes, or - put the grinder in the freezer for max. 8 minutes.

You can use any small bottle brush. They are available in most hardware and home utensils shops ☺️
Is it compatible with C60 version?
Hello, the current RedClix set is not officially compatible with the C60 since the bigger burr might stress the polymer clicker too much potentially leading to damage of the parts. That's why we don't recommend using the RedClix in C60 Baracuda. In the future we might be releasing a RedClix specially made for C60. For now on we think that the GoldClix offers enough flexibility for the majority of the users to perfectly dial in their brews ☺️
I know this is great for coffee, but can you use it to grind other seeds like Chia? Or will that ruin the blades?

The burr system is exactly the same. The only difference is the outside body

Just got my Comandante C40 and it looks great! Just wondering how should I clean it before using it for the first time. According to the faq using water is not recommended.
Hey there and thanks for choosing a Comandante! Actually your grinder is very low maintenance :). We recommend you follow the steps in this video once every couple of weeks or so, just to avoid a buildup of stale coffee dust and keep things running smoothly :). Using a damp cloth to clean the grinder is perfectly fine, but we simply recommend against using excess water, since it would take longer for your grinder to dry out before your next use :). lol i am using the comandante c40 everyday for 3 years and never cleaned it, it still works fine .. am cleaning it now for the first time,, and the bearing was stuk with the washer, from the raised material on the shaft. fixed it after seeing the other video about it. rubbed it with scotch brite and the bearing with washer came off. it was filled with a lot of gunk and coffee dust, a lot of black /dust stuff around the bearing and on the shaft. looked like some bearing grease mixed with coffee dust or metals particles mixing with coffee dust. Still works like a charm though. Will be cleaning it more often now :D
Hi there Rene, Glad you could get it back to full fitness despite 3 years without cleaning ;). We build them to handle life as a reliable tool, after all! Another great thing about the Nitro Blade steel: it is highly inert and has such a polished surface that it really doesn't take on any flavour. Cleaning the grinder's internals is good for smooth use long-term (as you've demonstrated), but the best thing to clean regularly for coffee flavour is the grounds catcher on the bottom of the grinder. Disassembling the grinder once every 2-4 weeks should be plenty :). Thanks for your support!
If I use BURR CARE FLUID SET on my COMMANDANTE c40, will it prevent the blade from deteriorating and improve the sharpness of the blade? Please tell me how to maintain it with BURR CARE FLUID SET. Thank you in advance.
The Burr Care Fluid is not only great for cleaning your burr of coffee dust and oils (in combination with the #5 stainless steel brush), it can also be used for lubricating moving parts like the connection between the wooden knob and the crank, and the steel central axle :).

To be honest, right now the best grinder in grinding quality and taste of coffee are 1zpresso zp6 and 1zpresso k ultra. They produce very good coffee in term of clarity. I do not own both of them but I've been used them. Comandante is a great grinder (I own a Comandante C40, and accompany me everytime more than my girlfriend 😂). You can't go wrong with comandante. It always produce a good coffee with complex acidity and the durability is second to none. If you want your coffee produces a complex taste (in a good way) and use your grinder until you die 😂, go for comandante. If you have a budget for a grinder do not go with timemore or hario. They are on different league. For very low budget, choose timemore. I hope comandante c60 will produce more clarity and more complex body from coffee (comandante c40 produce a hard to define the body taste, need more clairity). Can't wait for c60 ❤. Oh, by the way I'm a filtered coffee drinker.

@@docHazelnut I ended up ordering the 1zpresso K-Max. While I am excited to see the C60 and wish Comandante the best of luck and success I do not care for the internal adjustment system because I am already so used to my cheap epare grinder's external mechanism (but my epare grinder is a piece of junk so it needs to be replaced stat). I think 1zpresso, Kinu, Comandante, Knock, and Timemore are all great hand grinder companies with excellent products but the 1zpresso K-Max just has all the features I am looking for. If I had the money I would honestly love to own both a 1zpresso and a Comandante but alas it isn't possible at the moment.

@@Nick-ih5qz We're always grateful for user feedback :). I personally like to hold the X25 so that the COMANDANTE logo can be used as a grip aid, but you can also put one or two rubber bands around it to help for grip in the meantime :).

Is Red Clix fit in Trailmaster?
Yes, we designed Trailmaster to use the same drivetrain as the C40 for cross-compatibility. You can even use our XL Black Crank with your Trailmaster if you swap the polymer crank cover (dark X25 crank covers available very soon!).
Is basically a standard axle preinstalled on a Comandante X25 Trailmaster and the grind settings chart just the same as on Comandante C40?

It is an industrial Bearing, so it should be. Just don't try it.
Sealed ball-bearing cartridges do fine with rinsing and splashing. They're built for higher wear situations than this, really! If you need to change them in 10, 20, 30 years, you can just get a replacement from us :).
