Tracks like "shark shark shark" ,"lets celebrate gorgeous" , "caution, boys nights out" is very cool , "sound the alarm" , "at least give me my dreams back" , "business of living" and "grow up peter pan" is somewhere in between and the rest like "the era of treachery" and "everything dies" is completely sad , disturbing and depressed

And yes, Adept is one of the very much greatest bands in the genre^^
And about the song itself - it's more than likely about someone's ex-girlfriend a nd overall a very bad person (judging by the lyrics).

Ah yes, early-mid 2000s screamo/post hardcore/myspacecore/whatever-you-want-to-call-them bands. Some decent stuff came out of that scene and time period, but mostly it was just a bunch of copy/paste soundalikes that were impossible to differentiate. These guys aren't too bad though, considering. Anything AFI from Sing The Sorrow or Senses Fail-Lungs Like Gallows would be a great ones to check out.

These bands are not bad but i can't even tell them apart, same look, same sound since the early 2000's, that scene became so oversaturated, the punk scene was way more fun in the nineties in it's second wave, you should check out some pennywise, bad religion, nofx and so many more bands from that era,love your reactions i discovered you in my Tom Macdonald journey but i love that you mix it up with many different types of music, keep it up.
While I do agree that the genre is a bit oversaturated, there are a few bands and songs that really stand out to me personally. Never heard of Adept though.
I wouldnt call this punk at all. Punk is still as good and in some cases even better than it was in the 90s. This seems more like an offshoot of emo which was a bastardized offshoot of punk.
If you liked this then you would like Trash Boat and My Chemical Romance. Trash Boat has some great songs and when they do use the screamo style, it really fits the emotion of the song.

Not sure why people are calling this punk. Its not punk, dont know what to call it but its not punk. I do like it though, not familiar with this genre. Seems like the kind of thing i would've hated when i was younger because it wasnt punk though.
