South Korea and France will have their presidential elections next year.
Australia will have their parliamentary elections in the second quarter of next year.
Need to look into these countries' respective candidates with regards to foreign policy.
Honduras and Chile's new presidents will also sworn in too
Chile in particular is an interesting situation. Has the highest GDP per person in South America. The new Government there like China wants a better distribution of wealth.

@@Andy-P , the only difference being China can be unified towards one direction, but Chile would be bogged down by political infighting. So, I'd bet that Chile will end up like another Brazil or Argentina, or even Venezuela in less than 10 years. Hope I'm wrong.

A minor typo mistake at 4:44 of the video, in that the Year of the Rat should be *2020 not 2000* in the text. A small issue that's all.
During that year, I also remembered some Western media claiming that the Chinese Year of the Rat is unlucky because in Western culture, the rat is a symbol of disease and plague, hence the negative association of China with Covid-19. That was certainly not a good year especially for China, as well as for the rest of the world.
Sadly, geopolitics is one of the major disruptor on China's progress. How China navigate through those external forces with their strengths will be closely watched. Look forward to your new book and video. Wishing you Merry Christmas and a very successful 2022.
Agreed. While China is rising, USA is in decline, and they know that there's a closing window of opportunity to start a short controlled conflict with China. China mustn't get sucked into an pointless conflict with the USA. As long as peace prevails, China will eventually cross this dangerous threshold (probably by 2025-2028) by which the U.S would have declined to the point where they can no longer challenge China's rise.

Huawei's HiSilicon and Shanghai Microrlectronics Equipment (SMEE) group have been collaborating on that.
There are other China tech-focused channels on RUclips all over, citing sources from mainland media and insiders and translated to English.
Also, laser machine tool and automation company Han's Laser is also developing their own lithography machine

@@PascalCoppens I think you should. With regards to your views on chips, I don’t think China would be going down the route of smaller chips, I think it would be a totally new type of chip. I think I have read somewhere about graphene or quantum kind of chips. where the chips don’t just do processing but storage as well on the same chip thus efficiently cutting the size of chips needed from 2 chips to 1 and also better performance and better durability. Maybe you could do a bit of research in that direction.

I am very worried about a US and China conflict. I wish both sides would cool down the temperature and work together and settle their differences. The US needs to initiate it first because it started from Trump.

If there is to be a conflict the catalyst will be Taiwan. But Taiwan will not be the only issue. It is America & China falling into the thucydides trap.

Why do you use CPC instead of CCP, that's more widely used?
CPC is the official acronym of the Communist Party OF China. CCP is a term used around the world for Chinese Communist Party. CCP implies that the Communist Party is Chinese, not a Party OF China. It puts the Party as separate entity of China. By many Chinese this is viewed as anti-China. I have used both without any specific meaning on my part, but as the official term is CPC, I have started using what is correct. USA is also United States OF America, so same logic. It's USA, not American United States of AUS, that would be Australia. 🤭

I just heard China is starting to trade with Afghanistan by importing pine nuts. I also heard China is donating 100 educational buildings for schools in Afghanistan to help curb radicalism. If China can help Afghanistan with their development and infrastructure. This can be a start of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
China's model prefers to create opportunity instead of force to stabilise a region. It could work in Afghanistan indeed.

@@PascalCoppens , very comprehensive and I did watch that, but I was replying the guy from Sierra Leone for his/her African perspective. From what I've gathered, the Africans themselves are largely supportive, but their voices are simply being drown out by the western biased media.
China is not going to throw away good stuffs from others. At the same time, China is not going to throw away their own good stuffs neither. .so, China will combind all these toghether in their journey and moving forward.

Hi again Pascal, we missed out Serbia, Hungary, Colombia and Costa Rica as they have recently concluded their leadership elections.
In Serbia, incumbent president Aleksandr Vucič won a landslide victory over its Euro-centric, pro-West rival by a wide margin.
In Hungary's recent parliamentary elections, Viktor Orbán and his Fidesz party won landslide too.
In Colombia, we have now seen its left-ward turn in the recent presidential elections.
In Costa Rica, an economist won the presidency.
Watch out for the forthcoming presidential elections in the Philippines this May where close allies of current president Rodrigo Duterte are enjoying a wide lead for the presidential and vice presidential races, respectively

Yeah that's not gonna happen, china is corrupt at heart they are too greedy to even know how to compete with the rest of the world. They don't have any allies because everybody sees china will always be selfish and take more than their alternative Allies in the united states. The us will remain as the world superpower because most of the developed world will remain with the devil they know rather one whose culture and society structure that is completely different. The US also has the military to defend most of the world by itself.
