The “good” thing is eventually the vertigo stops as the disease progresses. I’ve had it 20 years and can remember crawling on the floor I was so dizzy. But now, the hearing loss and tinnitus are MUCH worse. It’s awful. I hate this. Stay strong.
Yes you are not alone I suffer from the drop attack for 4 years now they are called tumurkin drop attack just cut the coffee and some fruits these drop attacks they appear in the last stages of meniere disease
My worst drop attack face planted me on the sidewalk, I usually get pushed backwards on my left shoulder. But this time I was walking one minute fine the next thing I knew I was on the ground.
My worst problem with this is the encecent noise in my head. I accidently found out it stops if I take Valium. I was having a procedure in the hospital for something else. It didn't make me sleepy it made me feel so good it was incredible. I could hear people with their back to me again. I am asking my Dr. to start me on a low dose to see if it will work long term. I never wanted to try it because I worried about becoming dependent on it and being out of touch with every day activity. I wasn't at all dizzy it was crazy! I am saying this because you are right Dave. Different things work different for all of us. Try what you can and don't be afraid.
It sucks. You think you have a secret formula to manging it and then sneaks up on you again! Sometimes i think it just happens because the sky is blue or because I'm wearing red socks that day..
This has happened to me once. Scary.

I wish Valium stopped my tinnitus. As it is it only knocks me out for an hour. So I only take it once in awhile.
I’ve luckily never had to deal with the drop attacks. But I think I have an ear infection and the vertigo is so bad.
