Hey Jason. Hope your day is going well buddy. I'm just grabbing some of your older videos today for re-watches. Stay safe and have an amazing day friend.
i bought one for the 4th gen and on the edge, it was flared up too far to fit. tried fixing it multiple times and it never stood down. ended up wasting a decent amount of money and time.
Does it help from getting dust and dirt on the tailgate and bumper? Looks Great and I'll probably have one soon. I did see they worked with tonneau covers too and I will get one of those too! Thanks!
Not sure if it helps keep dust off but I could see how it might. I would suggest adding some extra glue or adhesive to where the plastic pieces meet just for extra security. I've had mine on the tailgate for several years now without a problem of it trying to come off.
I have a tight fitting tonneau cover so unfortunately I don’t think this thing would fit mine. Although it doesn’t look like it sits up very high. I don’t know. I like the way these look but I’d hate to have to send it back for that reason.
I definitely understand. Not quite sure if it would work with a tonneau cover but I can tell you that the spoiler doesn't come up very high off the tailgate.
Hey Jason just received my spoiler after seeing your video I’m a little hesitant to put it on it came with two dents and it feels extremely flimsy to be at the end of the tailgate where we As truck guys grab the clothes the tailgate are you experiencing any issues or are you now closing the tailgate in a different way this thing feels extremely flimsy waiting to hear back from the company
Hey Jason, how is your tailgate spoiler holding up? I bought mine after watching your video as well, been prob about 3-4 months now and I noticed the corners are starting to come up. I did follow all the instructions and wipe everything clean using alcohol wipes after my wash. Not sure if it's a faulty product or just my luck 😩
I'm not sure if I mentioned in the video but I did add some loctite super glue to mine as well. After several months mine hasn't budged at all. You may want to add some to yours. I would suggest if your original tailgate had a plastic piece on the top putting super glue on just the plastic part so when putting the spoiler on the bond will be plastic to plastic and hopefully that would help but first you would have to take your spoiler off and then re-apply 3M or other adhesive strip as well as add loctite or other branded super glue. Anyway hope this helps.
If you ever decide to take it off the part that attaches to the painted portion of your tailgate will be discolored and scratches. Happen to me. Water and small dirt partials makes their way underneath and get stuck and eventually cause scratches and hard water spots. And I’m enough time rust.
I love the look on these, my biggest issue with these is the fact that they’re held together essentially by just tape, so there’s alway some fear when going at certain speeds what may happen, which is what ultimately made me pass on the avs hood bug deflector with the lights that I really liked but reviews were not too good unfortunately, I feel like this will be something similar.
My concern is the spoiler interferring with my retracting tonneau cover closing.

Looks great can it allow for tonneau cover
Is this a just for looks deal or does it actually help with airflow/fuel economy?
If it helps with fuel economy it isn't much! It's basically for looks. I wanted something a little unique that you don't see every day on a pickup.

Thanks Jason, a little strip of 3m tape on the edges may be good too.@@jasons_tx_adventures

I added loctite super glue to mine where the plastic meets. No issues after several months on mine.
Thank you Jason
did you use JB weld on the plastic to plastic surface, or did you use super glue?
JB Weld branded super glue. I've had this spoiler for almost a year and it's still sticking well.

Question will a bed cover still work
Not sure on that because I don't have one on my pickup.
Looks sick
Oh it is!

It might be. The choice is yours. Mine still held on but I put loctite super glue on the plastic on plastic piece of the tailgate.
Keep in mind that vent visors attached the same way and they hold on without issues. 3m tape is very powerful.

Nice, thanks for sharing..
CAN’T USE YOUR TONNEAU COVERS IF YOU INSTALL THIS…..AND IT WILL NOT INCREASE GAS MILAGE
Ach Du scheiße nur mit doppelseitigen Klebeband besfestigt!! Hahaha typisch amyscheiß!! 🤣🤣🤣
Lackier das billige Ding mal!! Sieht total lost aus!! 🤣🤣
I’m guessing that you can’t have a hard tonneau cover with this set up.
howbout a link dude smfh
