- Chavez Soliz demos the Fundamental Series Ambient Reverb.
Because vast ambient sounds shouldn’t just be for larger pedals with vast price points, the Fundamental Ambient offers a great entry point into ambient exploration with the tonal integrity to live on a professional’s pedalboard but with simplified controls friendly enough for even the newest effect pedal users. With the Fundamental Ambient’s three reverb modes, you can experiment with deep, dark pad-like sounds to AM Radio-like lo-fi sounds with the flip of a switch.
Experience extended decay time that envelops your sound in a rich and immersive atmosphere in any of the three modes:
Deep - A dark ambient reverb with an added low octave, perfect for creating murky, cavernous sustain or adding a touch of moody atmosphere.
Lush - A breathy, expansive reverb featuring ultra-long sustain. Perfect for generating silky pads and immersive soundscapes with every note.
Haze - A textured, lo-fi reverb featuring distortion, sample rate reduction, and a resonant bandpass tone control, great for vintage or experimental tones.

Pedals used in demo - Fundamental Drive, Fundamental Ambient, ACS1 Amp + Cab Sim, Canvas DI/Line Iso.

After a year of battling depression /homelessness and losing all of my gear, walrus audio is doing the Lord's work and helping musicians like myself get back into the swing of things by making excellent but affordable pedals available to people like myself. Thank you for making this!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're not alone, and you are cared about. Trust me.
Hang in there, you got this.
Amen

Coming to worship pedalboards everywhere soon
😂 prolly not, because of the lack of stereo. Unless it does, I did not see two ins and two outs
@@rogerbakke7535 A fair point. I use a Source Audio Collider on mine. Part of it was stereo and the other part was pedalboard real estate.
However, I am fairly lucky in that my church actually has true stereo FOH and I connect via Dante, so the stereo actually means something. Not sure that is true of most places.
Still, this series from Walrus Audio is a really good compromise with ease of use, great tones, and reasonable prices. I'm impressed!
@@rogerbakke7535 😁💯
@@rogerbakke7535Just get two of them.
I didn't know "worship tone" was a thing until a few weeks ago. The worship tone community knows their stuff when it comes to ampless rigs. My direct tone is like 40% less crappy thanks to them.
Thank you for making these sounds affordable for people trying out new ways to express themselves.
🙌
bloc party, hell yeah
Potential Pedal of The Year Candidate!!!!! Bravo!!!
Thank you!
Wow, showcasing this pedal with my favorite Circa Survive riff!? Take my money!
Glad you picked up on that. ☺️
What is the name of that song?

rip 😞
Ahahahaahah honest reaction Mocha
Wild value proposition on all these pedals, but this one especially.
Totally 😶 my gear addiction kicks in 😭
Long Live Circa Survive...This pedal rocks btw.
I love how it can sound so good at an affordable price 😮😮
That haze algorithm is something special. I haven’t been captivated by a reverb sound like that since the first time I heard a boss rv5. Just ordered one of these and can’t wait to get my hands on it!
Thank you!
Simple, straight to the tones, easy to use. Who needs more?!
I failed to connect with your previous highly regarded reverb pedals. Just got this one and you nailed it - instant classic.
Y’all are truly technological artists. If I could I would buy every piece of gear y’all have and keep buying to give away as gifts.
Awesome content! Thanks!
thank you! 💛
Walrus is the goat of music
❤❤
This is an absolute game changer as far as affordable (and more importantly for me - simple) ambient reverbs go! And those song choices!
I always keep 2 simple reverbs on a board, an always on spring (whether from an amp or pedal) and then something huge and ambient (but simple). For years now my ambient verb has been 80’s mode on a flint, but I don’t love all the other modes so I was actually just thinking about replacing my flint with my old favourite, an RV-5 on modulate mode - then I see this thing!
Cool! Let us know if you pick it up!
Had to hit us with Bloc Party.
Fuzz has been my favorite effect for ages. If I had money burning a hole in my pocket I usually buy a new Fuzz. But wow, reverb sure is creeping up on the top spot fast 🌌
I dig it. My feedback to Walrus is this: what about acoustic guitar players? I'd like to see and hear your pedal played by an accomplished acoustic player. All companies say their product can be used by acoustic players but they don't seem to market to us.
Future product idea: put that haze algorithm in a pedal where the tone can be controlled with an expression pedal. I'd ride those cresting waves all day long.
These are perfect pedal demos by the way thank you for this showcase of a pedal
thanks!
What a beautiful sounding pedal 🙌🏻
thank you!
This pedal with a stereo output should be even amazing
Amazing pedal 🙌🏻🤍
Circa Survive nice choice for ambient demo!!
What is the tele with the lightning bolt on the headstock? Grabbing this pedal today!
Every worship leader is gonna have one of those 😂 including me hahaha! Great pedal!
Ooh! A new pedal! There goes my paycheck
I so wish more pedals were equipped with faders!
Indeed, faders look and feel so nice, but you have to clean them quite often, because they're prone to accumulate dust quickly!
stacking these on top of eachother using the short repeat haze and long repeat lush settings respectively
Is there any comparison to other algorithms on the fathom or slo?
I was lightly considering using a fathom and another device on the end of my chain to get a faux stereo sound with two different reverbs, so this might let that become a reality.
Love it!
Would love to hear this together with perhaps the delay and a synth.....any chances of a video?????
this demo might tickle your fancy a bit. ruclips.net/video/dkbM-xLIn_Q/видео.html&pp=ygUOd2FscnVzIGFtYmllbnQ%3D
“PAAAAATIEEEEEEENCE”
Awesome!
I really need to have one....
Is the Deep mode similar to the lower octave sound from the Sonar mode on the Fathom? Cause that is by far my favorite reverb sound. I would love to have that mode without the modulation from the Fathom.
It's not a copy/paste from the Fathom but there are some similarities!
@@walrusaudioeffects same chip? any differences in terms of the analog chain for dry signal or bypass? sounds amazing, thanks
Hello Walrus, I have a question.
Which pedal should go first on my pedalboard, Reverb or Ambient?
How does the order of each affect the noise down the signal chain?
Most people like to have reverbs with shorter decay first, but what only matters is what sounds good and inspires you. Try it both ways and see what you like!
Bloc Party!
Sounds great! Does the mix on this fundamental ambient pedal go fully wet?
thanks! and yes!
I appreciate your quick reply. I am planning on buying your fundamental delay and your fundamental ambient. Do you perhaps make another pedal that already combines these two?
@@bird3124 Thanks! We do not make a combo pedal of the two effects.
Was the fundamental ambient before or after the acs-1 in this recording?
Acs1 was last in the chain!
Let’s do a blackout version.
bloc party!
Gosh dang it I can't place it, what is that last song?
whats the riff at 2:30 and whyyyy does it sound so familiar
Living God
What is the difference between this pedal and the reverb ?
The Reverb is all based around "standard" reverbs like Hall, Plate, and Spring. Ambient is exactly that - three programs with super long decay meant for big ambient sounds!
@@walrusaudioeffects love the sound of ambient pedal
Lovely playing as well.
@@abhinandanghosh2028 Thanks!
Is the output stereo?
Mono
Worship players aren't going to be wearing socks because they just got blown off.
😆
Sounds great. I don't like slide knobs though so I won't buy it.
They are digital controls, not analog - so all the horror stories about dust and corrosion in analog sliders don't apply so much.
Tails 👀???
Yes you can turn tails on or off!
Stereo?
Not unless you get two of them.
I think my pedal cuts trails after 30 seconds or so, if I hit the switch the trail is still in the buffer and I can switch off again and then it cuts out again. Could it be a problem with my pedal? @walrusaudioeffects
Shoot us an email at help@walrusaudio.com!
Nope.
Respectfully though, yes.
