Trimble Siteworks File Type Exports from Trimble Business Center

  • SITECH Intermountain training video on the file type exports from Trimble Business Center.
    This video shows how to export Trimble Siteworks data from Trimble Business Center (TBC). The following file types can be exported:
    * DXF
    * TTM
    * VCL
    * Key-in Road (.PRO)
    To export data, follow these steps:
    1. In TBC, open the Siteworks project that contains the data you want to export.
    2. Click the Export button in the Siteworks toolbar.
    3. In the Export dialog box, select the file type you want to export.
    4. Click the Browse button to specify a file location.
    5. Click the Export button to export the data.
    The exported data will be saved in the file location you specified.
    Here are some additional details about each file type:
    * DXF: A DXF file is a standard AutoCAD file format that can be opened by most CAD software.
    * TTM: A TTM file is a Trimble-specific file format that can be opened by Trimble Siteworks and other Trimble software.
    * VCL: A VCL file is a Trimble-specific file format that can be used as a design file, site (background) map, or avoidance zone file in Trimble Siteworks.
    * Key-in Road (.PRO): A .PRO file is a Trimble-specific file format that can be used to create and edit key-in road data in Trimble Siteworks.

    I can't create the Controller as PC. When I go to Controller\Create in controller Type nothing saying PC, except for PCS900 (the rest are GCS900, AccuGrade, CatGrade, Sitevison, and AccGrade for Paving. May I ask how to create the Controller as PC as instructed in the clip?

      You may need to create the proper file path on your computer in order for it to show up. Meaning from the windows C drive on your computer there should be a file path as follows. Cdrive-Trimble Synchronizer Data-PC-Trimble SCS900 Data. Each one of those would be new folders in succession. Do this with Trimble business center closed and then restart after it has been created and then you should have what you need.
