- In this video I talk about a stolen comic book collection coming out of Las Vegas that has really struck a nerve in the comic book community. A widower inheriting her late husbands comics has been stolen. Let's see if we can help get the word out and identify any of the missing books. Big shoutout to all the people on social media and reddit putting together the list of missing books. I highlight some of the golden age ones that might be more identifiable.

Someone should reach out to the family for pictures of the slabs. Publish the certificate numbers and have CGC flag them. Similar to how Apple handles stolen devices.

So was it a theft of opportunity, or was it someone who knew what the collection was worth, i.e. a fellow collector? Whomever it is, they deserve to get caught. Best of luck to this woman and her son.

Speaking of missing books, any update on your stolen books from some time ago? Interested to hear if there has been any progress.
Those are some awesome books. I really hope at least some are recovered and returned. Those specific golden age issues don't get submitted everyday, CGC should put something in place to flag their system for some of those issues, especially if more than one appears on a single submission (I'm assuming here they've already been cracked out before they'd be sent in, or it would be easy).
That is my brother. I cried when I found out. We’ve been collecting since before we could read. Some of those books were my dads and he’s since passed as well.

@jovanwilliams135 that is what a lot of us were thinking. Someone who knew your brother and wife knew what you all had. Have the police turned up anything ? Please let them know what we all suspect about it being someone you knew. Please let me know if anything turns up. Best of luck.

IMO spreading the word in the community is actually going to hurt the chance of recovering the books. im sure the thief is seeing all the attention his hiest is getting and is now smart enough to crack the cases and get them regraded. i hope im wrong in giving a thief more knowledge than they deserve.

I think she did do a police report. We had some pictures of the slabs but he had a ton of books.

It's definitely sad and I hope the somehow recover some of the books. It's a shame they didn't have insurance to protect them from this kind of situation. This is why I constantly pound the importance of insuring any collectibles of value.
Insurance only gives them back money, not they legacy of an awesome collection shared with late father.

So they broke inside the house and they only got the comic books well it have to be some one they really know ttthat knows they had those comic books if I was them I check all the place pawn shops. That's.

hopefully this guy doesn’t think to crack them out of the slab and just sell them as is. I’m sure all shops have been warned in the area and those golden age keys will be the thief’s downfall

Thank you for doing this for his family. There is no reason for anyone to go through this, as if losing her husband was not bad enough. Hopefully the Loser is caught.😢
Sounds to me like a RUclips fan must have been casing out the collection and waited for the right time. There are so many dirt bags out there I would never open myself up in a public forum like this and put my information out there to get exploited by someone.
