Whatever one thinks of Gavin Ortlund, anticipating three hour response videos from him is very far from accurate. His videos where he discusses doctrinal issues found in the EO or RC Churches are usually 30-60 minutes. On the other hand, he will receive in response several videos, some more than two hours.

I'm new convert. I've been told not to pray with non orthodox Christians.....
How does this line up with what you explained about operation of Holy Spirit

I’ve only been Orthodox for 2 years, and I had this exact same question. I believe, and God forgive me if I’m wrong, that what Fr. Andrew said about chrismation is incorrect. The Church doesn’t do anything for purely ritualistic purposes. Chrismation actually accomplishes something, namely the imparting of the Holy Spirit so that He may indwell us. This does not happen outside the Orthodox Church. Does the Holy Spirit work on people outside the Church? Yes. This is why we convert to begin with. But it is a very different thing than receiving the Holy Spirit when we are chrismated.
Any clarification from Fr. Andrew and Fr. Stephen would be helpful.

@bradleyperry1735 thanks. I'm confused about alot of things. It feels like many iteclectually gifted people go off on all sorts of tangents... Causing confusion..... I had questions about. Met. kallistos ware blurring lines too.... But when I asked no answer.... Priest looked away.....

@ Honestly, my advice, and I’m just a layman, is to just attend the services, pray, fast, and remember that the people at your parish are your family. Your brothers and sisters. You have chosen to walk a path that millions before you walked, and the people outside the Church are not on that path. Don’t worry too much about what this or that famous Orthodox person says. Just live the Orthodox life. If that makes sense.

@@bradleyperry1735 there's very little orthodox where I am. Mostly RC. Parish 2 hrs away but yes that's what I'm doing. Sticking to basic things. Thanks

I'm hedging my bets on somewhere between approximately 3945 - 3948 AD, making Christ the Center of Human History.
    Any takers?
I'm sure it is an existent theory already.
