Just cause they put those Charges on them, doesn't mean they will stick. Come on, their Parents have $ and they'll get off easy or not face nothing. We all seen this before, it's nothing new.
It would be nice, but that seems a little hard to prove. There was likely a lot of underage drinking at the party including the driver of the boat. I'd like to know who provided the alcohol? It might have been the wealthy parents.
Those are some assumptions from a short news video. I didn't see any evidence that there was anything illegal present on that boat. The only illegal act visible in the video shows pollutants being dumped in federally protected waters. It amazes me how there are all these videos of law enforcement "being dirty", but they would likely be for sure if they ran solely on speculation. How about we let those that are the professionals determine the crime and the charges. Hopefully, those that want to throw the book at them, can be selected for the jury. I think that what these young people did was despicable. We have lived on the water, in FL, in the late 90s and early 00s. We were boaters and always brought in far more trash than we brought with us. We are back in FL again, when we go to the beach we always pack a trash bag and take what we can from from the beach. While I see this video, and it infuriates me, I look at it with reality, not fueled emotion. I believe they said a "Class 3 Felony" and those that committed the crime were minors. Don't expect much much from the legal system. The biggest punishment is the public shaming they are getting on SM. I still see people throw trash from their vehicle regularly. I watched, blatantly videoed, two young ladies (with a child), pull to the side of the city street, and empty all the trash from their car. I had video of them doing the act, the vehicle, and the tag. I called the police. I wrote a statement. I filed a complaint. I picked up the trash when the police were done on scene (dirty diapers and all), and I disposed of it. That was over a year ago. Haven't heard or read a thing. What these young people will did in Boca Inlet will likely fade away as quickly as it went viral. The litter problem remains. The part I find the most discouraging is the observation of how many young people protest for a better global climate, while I see their peers destroying what we have tried to clean up for them. I know that it's "only a few", but it's like a cancer, IMO.
@@morningsidedriverock What's weird... a boat full of teenagers and alcohol and no adults on board. Who said anything about charging parents? The trash cans didn't fill up with bottles and cans by themselves.

Thanks to WAVY BOATS for posting this video....How many years have these brats been dumping trash and getting away with it? Make them pay and put them in jail. Great job fish and game.
I don't hate rich kids, and I am not and never was rich. They did not throw the trash because they were rich but because they liked external validation and being part of the group too much to be a killjoy. They are also not aware that they live in a day and age that is increasingly misandrist and they have to adjust their behavior accordingly knowing that every mistake a group of boys, or even an individual reflects badly on all of them. As I said, I am sure someone in the boat knew it was stupid and bad.
Poor kids in the hood don't care about their actions either. Bad behavior is not a rich or poor thing. It's a result of bad parenting and the overall moral rot that has occurred in society.
The highways and beaches used to be covered in trash from people throwing it out their windows, so clearly it is kids these days. Further I am almost certain they were trying to get rid of evidence of underage drinking not simply littering to litter, not that it makes much of a difference in the end.

Parents! The biggest take away from this is ensure your kids got their values aligned, even as simple littering and awareness can ruin someones future and life.

Felony charges what a joke!!! 🤣🤣 . Meanwhile, every government in the entire world is dumping millions and millions of liters of trash into the ocean every day... Sillyness.. Do as we say, not as we do!
I hope they get a judge that doesn't want to "send them a message" instead of doing their job and enforcing the law. There is no way that a felony statute was meant for this level of pollution. I hope their lawyers can get them a reasonable plea and some community service cleaning up the inland waterways where it hurts the most. I don't care if they pumped the trash can in triumph, and are some of the stupidest, egotistical people in Boca Raton ... they shouldn't be felons for the rest of their life.

I don't know. The illegals swimming the river and jumping over the fence here in Texas are leaving miles of trash. They are not rich.
…gabagool!
Being rich has nothing to do with it. Littering is littering no matter how much money you have.
Imagine being that much of a failure to your own family, town, and state.
Good. These actions should have consequences.
But they won't because Merica!
The vessel captain and owner should also be held accountable (unless owner is rental)- and just how much of that was alcohol?
The fact that a family hired a PR firm tells you all you need to know about these lovely people....
This is what is wrong with our youth today! Privealedge kids who don`t care about their actions, Mom and Dad are now!
Your spelling and grammatical errors make you look stupid.
Your parents clearly messed up with you
This is the generation that grew up watching the President of the United States bragging about sexually assaulting women and making fun of disabled reporters etc. Expect more of this

I agree. I worked as a cook on a commercial fishing boat in Australia. The captain and first mate were catching fish they didn't have a license for. They got caught. The boat, not their boat, they were hired by the owner, was confiscated. 53ft trawler.
