Adrian its great that you've given your dad back the opportunity to get out and about again. It saddens me my own father not around anymore to see what I'm up to even though for sure he be telling me I'm doing it wrong :-)

I’m so glad to hear that your dad has been out on the new quad.
He does visit a neighbour on it every so often, he doesn’t have to go out on the road to get there either as our land goes to his front door. He’s there as we speak

We use dry cow treatment a lot of times when we have eye problems. Just squirt it right in the eye.

Clipping the cattle is a great job, clipping, at same job at the minute at home.

I did exactly the same and changed my quad for the steering. Power steering is an absolute dream especially when reversing with a lamb trailer on the back.

Cracking quad there... make sure we see your dad's 😁. Your old bike looks new and I'm sure the new owner will need to keep looking after it 😉😆. Check the fuel filter on your quad( you will probably never need it because of the amount of use it gets ) get a water filter glass on there and drain the crud out once in a while saving the carb/injectors. My suzuk didn't even have a decent filter from new and had to replace the carb it's a old bike now but still going strong. Stay safe 🏴

Aw he took to it like a duck to water, I kept an eye on him for a while just to make sure he didn’t sow the boot “ he has a habit of that 🙈” it’s an easy quad to ride once you get a hang of it, belt drive is more responsive for sure

I remember when I was on the farm we used to have a couple of cows with one eye that had caught I think it was called new forest disease which if not treated quickly caused blindness in the eye I believe it was something to do with grass seeds. Love the ATV And another great video so well explained great.

Never driven a kodiak but I have driven many grizzly quads and they can drive through anything and anywhere out on the moor/bog, and these wider tires are the best upgrade you can do
The Grizzly is the same machine just a higher ground clearance and geared slightly higher for trail riding, it would be very common in the US. Little bit more expensive too. Yes tyres make a machine for sure 👌👍

We had the same problem with a few cows eyes but what we did was open the bales a day before we put them in and it stopped all the sore eyes
Well Adrian how u , ur dad will be able to drive ur new quad, says that l have my own Honda Rincon quad great machine, be them men from milford great lad with out a doubt, hope ur cows 🐄 eye gets better, l had some ewes with white eye , l used mastic tubes, & pen strip injection 💉 great job , great video, chat soon, kieran from Laghey donegal town

Yes the blue one they had got offered to me first, fancy alloys and trim. It looked great but I liked the green and black look. They all do the same job which is all that’s important George 👍

I would rather it than the new one on the other farm Fionn, it’s about 40 years here I’d say and thankfully no animal or person has ever been injured 🤞🤞. The other spring loaded one could take the hand of you if you weren’t careful
Adrian lad I love your videos and love the new Yamaha kodiak had one myself and the grizzly there a great quad don’t get me wrong but when u have the time just have a look at CFMOTO quad half the price and the very same as Yamaha parts all over it but better my opinion better for your money best of look with the new quad👍👍

Well Adrian …. We had a problem with the cows eyes like your self there, what we do is cut the plastic off the bales a day or two before we feed them and it stopped the problem with the eyes, let’s the gas out we were told ? might be worth a try
Yes a few people said that, our eye problem started before the cows went in, white discharge around there eyes. Think it was the high pollen count

It’s not Pus Adrian, it’s fibrin which is helping eye to heal and eventually cornea will clear again as healing finishes helped by the antibiotic eye tube. She may not see as well from this eye so worth bearing in mind when moving her around calving etc
Good info to have Niall, it’s well healed now and the sight is definitely returning. Is that caused by an infection or a bang?
@@IFarmWeFarm infection Adrian more than likely from silage as they feed can scratch eye similar to pink eye but different bugs involved
