91 puts most people to shame who can't be bothered to work and that's probably where you get all your energy and enthusiasm for farming from Another great video has always Adrian and family 👍
Wee spring in your step there Adrian, and obviously a proud father of his girls as they help out getting those wee but important jobs done around the farm. IFarmWeFarm indeed!
On most of our broken jackets i throw the straps over the calf then just zip tie the broken clips together seems work well, then just cut the tie when you want to take it off👍
Well there is one thing about doing everything yourself Adrian, you have no one else to blame, one things for sure if the Titanic ever come back in she can tie up in that shovel bracket😂, great to see your Dad out and about, Nicole is growing she must be a big help to you now, really enjoyed the video Adrian thank you for sharing good luck to you and the family
Great chap,I left farming as a tractor driver stockman back 1987,retired now we’ll semi retired still drive but coaches, but still love to hear and see what’s going on in agriculture,This destruction of the farming industry I am bloody fuming over.
Great to see the father the real boss out and about. Do not under estimate the fact he is still around and make you girls listen to all his stories. He has seen some changes in Irish farming. Best of luck to ye for a good year. Love the videos
Nice work on the video folks... seat belt buckles would be ideal for those jackets.. betting you could modify a few for an easy fit.. 😉. I can see why you dont need a feeder we could never run one because literally always reaching a dead end 😮😅.. but a skidsteer now.... thats another thing.. 😅. Stay safe 🏴
Adrian, great to see the family working together and Dad keeping an interest. 👍 I love your calving routine and the care you give to the animals. If the any if the girls stick with farming they have a great teacher. If not they still have a wonderful father.
What a good heard video. Very interesting learning about the different cows and their calves. Family help from the girls is an incredible efforts. So lucky. Team work makes the dream work! Thank you for sharing. 🐄
Good video lad. Great to see your dad stepping round the yard. My dad does the same. There is a tub feeder with the conveyor belt on the very back of it that is designed to diet feed sheds like that.
Fantastic video/jobs Adrian 👍 👋 to the family, and nice to see your Father again 🥰 I hope you get meds sorted out for the 🐄 with the bacteria problem 🤞 Loving the Benny Hill affect, and camera in the hay 😂 Cannae wait to see the next installment 🥰 Have a lovely day Adrian and family ❤
Great video Adrian and awesome seeing Dad doing his professional checks. What you could do with on your calf rug are buckle like we have on our horses rug. The are metal and you just twist the end over eachother. Take care see you soon
Ya could break off the old buckle and put on the new one with the heavy fencing wire, run it through the strap and loop it around rhe buckle to hold it in place
Well Adrian, hope u keeping good, Lovely cattle, great Well keeped farm, its a credit to u & your family, great video, chat soon, kieran from Laghey donegal town
Im nealy sure you can buy those snap buckles separately. I put medium size kerbl jackets on small suckler twins born early Sunday morning - they were swamped in them - one jacket thrown off this morning. I need to get really small size ones for the future, cant find any online. Adrian you should get a small table for mixing powder milk, would spare your back.
Adrian our mixtec diet feeder would suit your shed fine, it has two back doors on it and we have a similar setup here at home, also on a 5460 by chance and no bother at all! I've a few videos of her going on my channel if you want to see the tub we have working. Could fill bales at the far yard you have and have them chopped by the time you get round the road! Maybe a demo is in order?!? Great video as always, Danny.
You know your buckles can be replaced with those with removable pins - same as rucksacks..... Sea to Summit are one company that does them - won't have to get them re-sewed
Hey Adrian, just to say to you we have a small abbey tub feeder, a vf1050 and i think it would work great in your spot even you smaller feed passage in your main cow shed. We actually have a U shaped passaged and find with diet feeder works great. Used shear grab for a long time but would never go back now
😂😂😂 you've got my habit while driving, you glance down when getting something😮 at my age 57, I'm training myself not to do that while driving round Sligo.. the majority of drivers round here now are too fond of tail gateing and jumping red lights.. it's desperate bad.. great videos Adrian.. nice work❤ on a side note someone (a seamstress or tailor) will mend the jackets.. I've been sewing my own stuff for years, improving stuff😊 now I've got into leather work, it's great... much better then some of the nylon rubbish that's out.. it just needs looking after properly...😂😂😂
I agree with David add the water to the powder, I'm not in love with washing the feeder in the calf house! Lots of great work going on and I enjoy watching.
Don't know if anyone else has suggested, but how about velcro instead of buckles on the jackets? Still would need someone to do the stitch-up but it'll last a lot longer maybe?
Hi Adrian those clips on the jacket are a nightmare it's the same on my dog's harness but luckily my mum is retired tayloress and I bye the clips on evil bay good luck with them👍👍
Velcro would probably pick up too much debris and stop working. Needs a stainless steel buckle, an equestrian shop would be the place to go look for some.
Adrian, you need to put in a to mix the milk replacer on. There have got to be days that you do not want to bend down to mix it up. A table will be of great help. Is spring early for Ireland this year? I'm in southern Wisconsin, USA and every sign of spring is here. We are going to have spring 6 weeks early or we are going to have everything killed off with a heavy frost. Either way we are still in drought conditions. Have a question. I several operations from Ireland, Scotland and UK, and I have yet to see 1 barn cat. What's up with that? We always had a minimum of 15. Stay safe and have a good week.
Love the video Adrian. Great to see the girls helping out. Great family bond there. One Question what to you do with your solid muck ? As you do not have a spreader ?
Great video Adrian, the perfect family farm, you’re doing well and heifers/cows on this calving year👍Good to see your dad out keeping a eye on everything, think of mine every second of every day, cherish it ! Just wondering did you put a couple washers on bolts to hold the shovel on bracket 😜 have a good week 🍻
Ya I added a third bolt after and some washers 😂. I get what you mean about cherishing the moment even though sometimes I have to stop a remember how lucky we are to have them both still there. 🙏
Can you not use milk from cows with a high cell count, along with colostrum for your young calves, (rather than powder?), maybe cheaper? How do you choose which heifers calves to keep as replacements? Great content, keep at it
That’s a good point, after we sent the sample off we put that particular cow on pharmasin for 3 days as it’s very good for high SCC treatment. We don’t feed milk that has antibiotic’s in it to our calves as it can cause stomach and gut problems in itself.
I love your videos! I'm a city person and find it all fascinating. Also, I love how clean your farm looks. One question... what do you do with bull calves? Do you raise them and sell them for meat or sell them as possible breeding bulls or what? Thanks
Are you sure those bolts are strong enough to hold that shovel 😎😎😎😎
Do ya think 😂😂
You could anchor a ship off them
Same size as the ladder bolts. Should be good enough to hold the shovel 😂
@@paddyclavin1136 It might be touch and go Paddy, I'll be praying for Adrian and the new shovel. 🤣
Was just thinking the same, best put another in to make sure 😉
Its great to see your dad still interested in the running of the farm ,he is looking well and is good to see all the genurations together all the best
91 puts most people to shame who can't be bothered to work and that's probably where you get all your energy and enthusiasm for farming from
Another great video has always Adrian and family 👍
You sure have mastered the art of putting the silage in with the shear grab. 👍
Very strong bracket for a wee shovel .
I like the way the cows know it’s time to give birth and standing by the door to go to the birthing pen
Your Dad getting around well his wisdom must be worth a lot.
Wee spring in your step there Adrian, and obviously a proud father of his girls as they help out getting those wee but important jobs done around the farm. IFarmWeFarm indeed!
Another Brilliant video ... 😀
Adrian when you start to AI cows can you do a video about your breeding policy. Sexed or conventional and bull selection for each cow please?
You're my favourite RUclips
Great to see your Dad keeping an eye on things on the farm.❤
My Dad will hopefully be 91 in June.😊
Lovely to see your Dad out on the farm, also your wonderful children who help you on the yard. Love and best wishes from Sligo.
Awesome show Adrian ,dad and the girls 🍻🇦🇺
On most of our broken jackets i throw the straps over the calf then just zip tie the broken clips together seems work well, then just cut the tie when you want to take it off👍
Great minds think alike
Well there is one thing about doing everything yourself Adrian, you have no one else to blame, one things for sure if the Titanic ever come back in she can tie up in that shovel bracket😂, great to see your Dad out and about, Nicole is growing she must be a big help to you now, really enjoyed the video Adrian thank you for sharing good luck to you and the family
That’s correct Adrian, Diet feeders are mainly for bigger and longer sheds with more accessible feed passages, not small sheds or smaller yards.
Very handy with your work tools 😁
Great chap,I left farming as a tractor driver stockman back 1987,retired now we’ll semi retired still drive but coaches, but still love to hear and see what’s going on in agriculture,This destruction of the farming industry I am bloody fuming over.

Great video Adrian Great 2 see your dad looking well
Great Video Adrian, girls, and your Dad, its hard to keep them away from it, keep at her Lad!
you don't need makeup Adrian ha ha . Love your videos every Sunday. and your good sense of humour. Keep up the good work bud🇬🇧👍
😅. Stay safe 🏴
Love your videos.I think i keep saying that but unlike you i'm not much of a talker.xx😃 xx Great Girls you have there. xxxxx
Adrian, great to see the family working together and Dad keeping an interest. 👍
I love your calving routine and the care you give to the animals.

Good man Adrian.
Hope is some belter of a calf .. You're lucky to have great help in the evenings 😊
Great video, nice to see 3 generations on the same farm, long may it continue.
😊😊soon be hitting 100K subscribers, that only means one ☝️ thing, keep the vids coming, great 👍 to see a whole family working as one
Liking the change of music. Canny beat a bit I rock to get the jobs done
Great video and great too see your dad out and about.
Another great video nice to see your dad and the girls about the farm 👍👍
Looks like your loving your hot water system you installed recently. Very handy
You certainly have a wonderful family farm. Those kids are lucky to be learning from you, your wife and their grandparents. 👍😊❤️
A busy few days, thanks for sharing
Good video lad. Great to see your dad stepping round the yard. My dad does the same. There is a tub feeder with the conveyor belt on the very back of it that is designed to diet feed sheds like that.
Hi Adrian my dad used to be a dairyman myself and my brother were just like your children commit to the business❤❤❤
Adrian awesome update. Great to see your Dad and the girls. Looks like calving season is going great. Take care 👍🏻🇨🇦🍀
Thanks for the content, your a busy man.
Always grand to see the latest post...Happy out.
Enjoyed that's handy when you stand at the door when getting close to calving
Great stuff Adrian nice to see the whole family getting involved. Your right about the diet feeder I think it just would not work.
Fantastic video/jobs Adrian 👍
👋 to the family, and nice to see your Father again 🥰 I hope you get meds sorted out for the 🐄 with the bacteria problem 🤞 Loving the Benny Hill affect, and camera in the hay 😂 Cannae wait to see the next installment 🥰
Have a lovely day Adrian and family ❤
Great video of what's been going on in the midst of calving, and I love the name that was picked for the heifer calf - Moo-dini 😄❤ Thanks, Adrian!
I think the calf was named Moo-teeny Natalie.
Great video Adrian and awesome seeing Dad doing his professional checks. What you could do with on your calf rug are buckle like we have on our horses rug. The are metal and you just twist the end over eachother. Take care see you soon
Great video Adrian. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video Adrian
Great video 😊
You need the metal loop system buckles you get on horses rugs.
Ya could break off the old buckle and put on the new one with the heavy fencing wire, run it through the strap and loop it around rhe buckle to hold it in place

I will look them up as it would be worth doing and would save me a lot of hassle learning to sow 😉
@@IFarmWeFarmme too , was afraid I’d have to learn how to use my mothers old singer sowing machine to fix our calve coats
I do use the tempest original calf jackets from Shires they have the straps with the Velcro on them rather than the buckles

Great farming family great job
Cracking video as always. Keep up the good work
Great video with great content and explanation thank you 🙏
Tub feeder with 2 back doors got one great job
Tip. easier to mix milk powder, by adding it to to the water, instead of water to the powder. Great channel.👍
That’s the way I used to do it and found this much easier to mix, have you tried both?
I agree with David add the water to the powder, I'm not in love with washing the feeder in the calf house! Lots of great work going on and I enjoy watching.
Don't know if anyone else has suggested, but how about velcro instead of buckles on the jackets? Still would need someone to do the stitch-up but it'll last a lot longer maybe?
Maybe a foal horse blanket might be better for the calves ...as they have steel buckles and are quite strong
Hi Adrian those clips on the jacket are a nightmare it's the same on my dog's harness but luckily my mum is retired tayloress and I bye the clips on evil bay good luck with them👍👍
Great video Adrian as always 👌
Interesting video 👌
Have you seen the Tractor mounted VDW diet feeder. They would work in your sheds
Wishing the old boy many more year of enjoyment to come!
I wonder if a generous strip of velcro would help fix the jackets. The manufacturers definitely need to address the issue.
Velcro would probably pick up too much debris and stop working. Needs a stainless steel buckle, an equestrian shop would be the place to go look for some.
You can buy replacement buckles. Break of the old one and replace by pulling out a pin!
Any update on the bracket holding up the shovel?
💕 🇨🇦
Adrian, you need to put in a to mix the milk replacer on. There have got to be days that you do not want to bend down to mix it up. A table will be of great help.
Is spring early for Ireland this year? I'm in southern Wisconsin, USA and every sign of spring is here. We are going to have spring 6 weeks early or we are going to have everything killed off with a heavy frost. Either way we are still in drought conditions.

A super glue sandwich on the straps will hold as good as the stitches. I do it to my dog leashes when the stitches go
Adrian did those bolts fall out of Frankenstein's neck!
Did you ever think of velcro on the jackets when the brackets break just a mad thought
Good stuff
Love the video Adrian. Great to see the girls helping out. Great family bond there. One Question what to you do with your solid muck ? As you do not have a spreader ?
Local contractor does it all for us Ricky
Great video Adrian, the perfect family farm, you’re doing well and heifers/cows on this calving year👍Good to see your dad out keeping a eye on everything, think of mine every second of every day, cherish it ! Just wondering did you put a couple washers on bolts to hold the shovel on bracket 😜 have a good week 🍻
Ya I added a third bolt after and some washers 😂. I get what you mean about cherishing the moment even though sometimes I have to stop a remember how lucky we are to have them both still there. 🙏
You should look into a bucket feeder like Joe Seels
Great video Adrian what do u do with ur bull calfs
No need of a diet feeder unless you are feeding out TMR. Silage only doesn't need one.
A VDW mounted feeder would suit you best though if you did.
Love the new medical term, a couple of potatoes 😅
Can you not use milk from cows with a high cell count, along with colostrum for your young calves, (rather than powder?), maybe cheaper?

Great video as always Adrian. Just wondering do you get the stockpile of straw and old silage spread on the fields?
I love your videos! I'm a city person and find it all fascinating. Also, I love how clean your farm looks. One question... what do you do with bull calves? Do you raise them and sell them for meat or sell them as possible breeding bulls or what? Thanks
Would velcro work for straps for calf coats.
Let us all know where u get the repair buckles for the jackets
i wonder if a simple cable tie or 2 would save you having to replace those probably expensive buckles
Your calving seems so well spaced out. Is that the same way you space your AI? One or two per day?
Not on purpose really, it’s sporadic at times with maybe a week with nothing and then 5 in the one day. Just served as they naturally come in heat
You can get some heavy duty Velcro to use instead of the buckles
Nice 👍🚜😃
nice video Adrian, and why you use milk replacer instead of the milk straigh of milking is not cheapest or better than milk replacer?
Hi mate
you got any tips for a young farmer just got a dairy job already got a year experience but just wanted to hear from a veteran?
Another great video. I like the green and black fleece you was wearing. What brand is it?
Rigdeline, I have got a good few bits of there clothing over the last 10 years. Excellent quality
Adrian why do the calves get taken off their mothers after they are born ? Thanks Jill
Adrian I c some farmers are using bobcats to block in sliage.whats ur opinion on dem
Great machines especially in small yards, maybe one day 🤞
them cows come in the parlour brilliantly, what's the secret
Meal and plenty of it mark 😂 there basically been blackmailed
