Salfords Custody

Surrey Police has a new purpose built custody suite to serve the east of the county. Located within the existing IO Industrial Estate at Salfords, the 24 custody cell facility replaces the outdated provision at Reigate Police Station.
The suite has been designed in line with the latest duty of care codes of practice and will enable officers to efficiently process and detain those who have been arrested, or those visiting to answer their bail conditions.
The Force now has three custody centres evenly spread across the county to meet operational demand. As a result officers who make an arrest will be able to return to their local front-line policing duties much faster after taking a detainee to custody, spending less time travelling further afield.
