    Real talk: Jollibee got their roots on wherever there are much Filipino expats and workers.
    Most Filipinos who flock to Jollibee in abroad were because of three reasons: The taste of Jollibee products, longing and homesickness for the Philippines, and opportunities to socialize with fellow countrymen, as traditionally, Jollibee was mostly social outing in our country, not regular fare as the West, but rare treats a family can afford sometimes.
    Look at the opening of a foreign branch, 80%of them lining up are Filipinos, the rest are half-foreigns or foreigners either craving for something different or curious ones.
    Jollibee Foods Corporation not only runs Jollibee, they also run Greenwich (pizzas and pastas), Chowking (fast Chinese food), Mang Inasal (roast chicken), Red Ribbon (cake and bakery), majority of Burger King franchises in the Philippines, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (cafe). They also run some of the known brands in abroad in countries like China, US and Canada.

    Hi I am a Filipino and I've seen this menu to be a bit weird because the menus are totally different and more Americanized than here in the Philippines. In Philippines, we also has a side called pancit palabok, which has some orange sauced noodles. We don't have any Chicken Tenders, but its so very sad to see that you guys didn't try the real signature burger of Jollibee, which is the Champ, which the Burger patty is triple the times bigger than the Yumburger with Lettuce cheese and tomato alongside with special sauce. The Peach mango pie that shown here has its other variations like the Tuna Pie and the Ube Pie, which I think varies through season. Even though the Chicken sandwich in Jollibee here was new to our menu, we love it though

    Just wanna say thanks for this series as it rlly helps me panic less when trying new foods. I’m autistic w/ a long history of battling anorexia so have a hell of a lot of fear foods. It wasn’t helped by the fact I was raised in a very abusive household where kids “didn’t need food” so fast food & takeaways defo weren’t something I had. Almost building the fear of them even more. But now my amazing care team are trying to introduce me to the world of enjoying eating by bringing me their fave things from fast food places or ordering things to the hospital for me to try. And next week they told me I’m gonna try Jollibee (the main staff doing this are all Filipino as I’ve discovered asian & Mexican are my fave cuisines) so I should look at the menu to see what I wanna try first. It’s been super anxiety provoking. I’ve never had a hotdog before. I struggle with chicken on the bone due to my disability so not bothered abt the chickenjoy. I don’t rlly wanna try a beef burger as that feels like nowt special & I wanna try challenge myself. I’m defo getting the loaded fries as all the staff have said they’re their fave + has chicken tenders in. But I couldn’t decide what ‘main’ to have. I’ve tried homemade Filipino spaghetti before but am curious to try the fast food version. And I also like the look of the rice slaw bowl cause I love that sorta thing. So yeah, went on a bit of a tangent there but just wanted to say ur vids are genuinely helping me reprogram my brain to not believe what my abusive parents raised me to think & instead finally start having a healthy relationship with food filled with enjoyment :)

    • @moondust2365
      @moondust2365 3 года назад +38

      But also much smaller. The only reason all that would be under $50 is that we wouldn't be able to afford above $50. If they raise the prices too high, no one would come and they wouldn't profit lol.

    I used to live in NYC and there was a Jolliebee that was close enough for me to go to, but now that I'm in a different state, the closest one is THREE HOURS away by car. Like why isn’t there a proper halo-halo in the Jollibee’s here? All we got was a sundae with halo-halo toppings at one point. We used to have chicken burgers from them here, but they apparently weren’t popular enough to last in the Philippines.
    Never heard of dipping the Chickenjoy into the spaghetti like that before until this video. The closest to that I’ve experienced is the chicken piece accidentally rolling into the spaghetti on occasion. Sounds like a neat idea though. Also is it me or does the cheese on spaghetti in foreign Jollibee’s melt better than the ones in the Philippines?

    8:33 The fish allergens mentioned that are in the burgers are possibly due to some fish sauce in the seasoning for the meat. Just guessing, btw. Obviously not enough to change the smell or taste drastically. If you can't have MSG, gotta get the umami bombs in there another way. Soy sauce and garlic probably in the mix too. Again, not a confirmation, just saying this as a Filipino who knows how we like to season our dishes. Never used it on burgers myself but Jollibee probably knows better.
