I don't even know where to start lmao, this is so scuffed but somehow entertaining. - You should not have a motherboard against a metal surface, the metal points on the bottom of the motherboard could make contact with it and cause a short (thats why there are standoffs that keep the motherboard from hitting the case). - Crusty thermal paste. - External hard drives have just a regular hard drive inside, extracting it and using it as-is instead of through the usb interface would have worked faster. Also, using a flash based storage medium (eg. a USB flash drive) to install windows with would be recommended over using a slow spinning disk. - The 300W recommendation is when it is in a balanced build with a CPU that matches the performance of the GPU. The GPU can not use more than 75W of power that the PCI-E slot provides, and it has no external power connector. For your entire build, at 100% load, it would consume around 220W of power. What is more important, is that the power supply can provide enough power at 12V which the GPU uses (though the slot), and that power supply probably has enough (12V @ 16A = 192W). - The io shield is the thing between the case and the back of the motherboard (shielding around the ports), what that prong thing is doesn't really have a specific name, it is just that part of the expansion slot plate. -The Easy Anti-Cheat errors you got could be caused by the operating system being old or secureboot not being enabled.. Or it could legitimately be an issue of Easy Anti-Cheat requiring CPU instruction sets that do not exist on the old Pentium.

They actually do call it an IO shield, it's just a graphics card IO shield/bracket. So if there was a low profile version for a card with the same plug config, he could find where to buy one by searching those terms. I just 3d printed one for my 3090 that was an egpu to test in a pc. Sadly it may be dead a month outside the warranty though 😢

@jaapaap123 i tried to find a 128gb ddr4 kit for my pc so I can give davinci resolve all the ram it wants. A 128 gb dual kit doesn't exist. At least not for regular pcs. Same with DDR5. That was quite the shocker. But that you got 192 gb going is insane with DDR3. So you must have a 128 and a 64gb dual kit. Crazy ddr3 has a 128 gb kit but not 4 and 5. I had 96gb for a while. But it turned out a 30% performance loss. Went from 1170 points in cinebench multi down to 800 - 900 points. Guess it wasnt the smartest move of me to jam 2 types of kits of different brands, speeds, and sizes onto the same board. It works which is admirable by itself. But it isn't great. That's for sure.
@@NeoStarImpact I think you might not have too much experience with server boards. Socket 1366 has triple-channel memory, and my board has two cpus. Every channel has two dimms, for six slots per cpu. Six times 16 GB equals 96 GB. So for two cpus that is 192 GB. For some later generations there were 32 GB dimms available, but during DDR3 these 32 GB dimms were mostly quad-ranked dimms, so not really usable. Of course this is all "registered" memory. The only thing worth something in my server is the memory, so I have a newer generation board ready for it, that can use the same memory. 2 cpu, quad channel memory. 20 euro for the board, 80 euro for the 12 core, 24 thread cpu. Crazy and fun to watch. On the upside, you CAN find some pre-builts for sale that are just a few more bucks and actually have (relatively) recent i7's etc in them. I will never understand how people can say DDR RAM of any spec is "slow". Your worst bottleneck is always going to be storage, not RAM. Even M.2 SSDs of the current generation can barely compete with DDR RAM access speeds.
bad analogy .. a race car engine would stil move that shopping cart hella fast ... that 1500 dollar video card is gonna go no where fast when the cpu is choking it like the boston strangler.
It is brave of you to use a random PSU to power the server GPU, I'm sure 400 watts from a well-known brand is really cheap, also about the CPU, I think the problem is not because it is not powerful enough "sure compared to modern CPU is really slow", but I think the CPU lack of modern feature like AVX, but hey great video, can't wait what workaround you gonna do to make it work :>
You are aware you could open the external drive and use the drive from in there in the PC to bypass the data transfer limit. That way you are using the SATA express I stead of the USB
Windows 10 and 11 are designed from the ground up to run off an SSD, you may think that what difference does it make as storage is storage (if you take away the performance gains of an ssd of course) but this is not the case.. I bought an all in one PC for my mum a few years back.. was decently spec'd but had a mechanical drive in it and ran ok for the most part but as soon as the machine went to do Windows updates it bought the PC to it's knees for hours, as soon as I replaced the drive for an SSD the issues went away.
I just purchase a Lenovo P93t SFF with an i7 4790 and 8GB RAM already installed for 50 nuggets shipped. These days, anything below an i7 4790 are basically obsolete for newer/modern games, as more games are requiring AVX2 microcode which started with the 4th gen intel CPUs. So if you are thinking, wow I got an i7 2600 PC for 30bux, and thought you can play Forza H 5, you're in for a surprise.
I ran into such issues getting win 10 to load on an old Dell T3500, love that machine too way back when. How I solved it was to clone the HHD/SSD/Whatever is your boot device with the OS of choice, then simply install it in the machine. Because it's already installed it bypasses the requirements for NEEDED ITEMS to be installed. This should work for Win 11 too but haven't tried it yet. I could have just installed the drive on another PC then moved it but cloning was much faster. Once the OS is installed there are no more system checks and it should just work upon updating the drives and whatnot. Something to consider if you struggle again. Oh, buy the Retail version of an OS vs the OEM Version as the Retail can be used over and over vs the OEM being bound to that MB once installed: ask me how I know LOL....
Thanks so much for this opportunity. This is the best online classes. 🏭 I never knew this before and I was really trying to open Microsoft store on my Windows 7 laptop. 😭
you could upgrade this era of PC to see what the era can truely do with that card. 775 Can do Core2quads at least and 771 Xeons on some motherboards, or in server boards multiple Xeons or other 775 CPUs (including Pentium 4, Pentium D

I bought an all in one PC for my mum a few years back.. was decently spec'd but had a mechanical drive in it and ran ok for the most part but as soon as the machine went to do Windows updates it bought the PC to it's knees for hours, as soon as I replaced the drive for an SSD the issues went away.
the bottle neck is crazy on this 💀💀💀💀💀
I just purchase a Lenovo P93t SFF with an i7 4790 and 8GB RAM already installed for 50 nuggets shipped.
Your main PC has a nice wallpaper! Where can I find similar/the exact wallpaper(s)? 🔥
the ram is older than me
I ran into such issues getting win 10 to load on an old Dell T3500, love that machine too way back when.
I never knew this before and I was really trying to open Microsoft store on my Windows 7 laptop. 😭
