I thank God for letting me cross paths with Mitch Smiley when he done his first interview and then started his own channel where he gave alot of from the heart honest inspirational messages.. I was addicted to pain pills and pretty much suicidal at that time but his words and wisdom got through to me when nobody else could or wanted to. I reached out to him and he's always there with some advice or positive advice. In January it will be 2 years that I've been sober 100%... Adrienne is a sweet woman and they're a great team.. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Mitch

I just got back from rehab. It sucked, but I'm alive. I kicked a massive fentanyl habit and it was rough. That kick was not fun. I'm 48 and the past 7 days have been my only clean time since before I turned 18. I've had an opiate addiction for 28 of those years. I don't know what the future holds, but I haven't used since leaving and I don't plan on it either. I'm in PAWS which really sucks, but it's much better than the alternative that's for sure. 7 days clean. I never thought I'd be able to say that. Seems like such a small thing but to me, it means more than any civilian will ever know.

It's not too hard to understand that if a prisoner is given the few items or privileges he/she desires, then the jobs of staff becomes easier. An occupied mind and body is less likely to cause or perpetuate an unstable environment. Thank you for sharing this with us, Mitch.

Ya know, I'm involved with bikes, I don't consider myself a biker, more like a bike enthusiast, I have some Shovels and I have as much of a good time sitting on a milk crate with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning turning wrenches as I do riding. Anyway, I have friends in the big clubs, all good guys, the realest people I know and I've watched some real good guys go away over nonsense, other guys that have done some serious serious shit, skate, no rhyme or reason to it, but 38 years for basically accessory after the fact, not even really, it's just ridiculous, I'm watching this angry about that but like they say, everything happens for a reason, because I am watching and I am learning from this man right now, so for that I have to say thank you

What a trip. I started in El Cajon and ended up in San Jose. El Cajon in the late 70s and early 80s was a rough place, I remember. I wasn't old enough to go to bars and such, but I had to walk past a porno theater on the way to and from school and step over drunks en route. Haha crazy little town. Good on this man.
They took all the wood shops , metal shop and auto shop out of the high schools around the same time as they did in prisons! Early 2000s. Now look at the state of the country and kids not being able to fix anything or hobby if it doesn’t involve a computer

I worked in the kitchen in my home county jail&they would have us go dumpster dive at Publix to get the entire bread&pastory stock, we would have to reuse food that had been in the fridge or freezer for multiple years. They have a bran new nice freezer in the front of the kitchen stocked with up to date foods so when the grand jury does they're walk through of the jail they would only see what they wanted them to see, little did they know there's 2 huge freezer in the back full of crap that's years old and that's been reheated and frozen multiple times.
I think deserves all the good things coming his way, he got out and went to work , he managed not to bring out the prison crap out with him, His wonderful wife is his biggest supporter and the backup, I think they are both good people
Wow, the thought before you do something you will forever regret is my gift. I’ve had a few moments where I could see what the worse scenario could result in and made the right choice. The humiliation of not reacting violently to a silly circumstance to hurt someone over 100 is a growing moment. I didnt get respect from clowns that are now dead but have a stable job and work hard . When you grow up and dont care what people say , who have no place in your life, its satisfying.
Politicians use law & order and prison to enhance their careers. Ever since prison for profit showed up prison time has changed. Just more gov. without accountability. Ever since 9/11 things have changed to grow gov. and gov. over reach. Its horrible.
A man’s or womens life should not come down to a deal. If they offered him six years that should of been it. No you didn’t take deal so know 38 years. Your either guilty or not. Should be set prisons times. Nobody should get 38 years. Let these politicians do a week in jail before they can give somebody life

I worked in the kitchen in my home county jail&they would have us go dumpster dive at Publix to get the entire bread&pastory stock, we would have to reuse food that had been in the fridge or freezer for multiple years. They have a bran new nice freezer in the front of the kitchen stocked with up to date foods so when the grand jury does they're walk through of the jail they would only see what they wanted them to see, little did they know there's 2 huge freezer in the back full of crap that's years old and that's been reheated and frozen multiple times.
Man that is absolutely horrible to hear.....Someone need to blow the whistle on these conditions.....thanks for sharing......

Wow, the thought before you do something you will forever regret is my gift. I’ve had a few moments where I could see what the worse scenario could result in and made the right choice. The humiliation of not reacting violently to a silly circumstance to hurt someone over 100 is a growing moment. I didnt get respect from clowns that are now dead

Should be set prisons times. Nobody should get 38 years. Let these politicians do a week in jail before they can give somebody life

In Australian prisons there is no racial divide just like life on the streets, you run with with your brothers, no matter what race or religion. That's what makes Australia Australia, everyone gets along...most of the time.
