- In the last in the series of Videos on the wonderful Throop fishery on the River Stour in Dorset, I am Ultralight lure fishing for Pike and Perch. It's a difficult day, very cold, and there are quite a few other anglers about making the task of finding some feeding fish a bit more difficult.

I'm really happy that you've enjoyed it Ernest, initially I saw the series running a little longer but one thing leads to another and the best laid plans don't always go the way you anticipated and as I keep saying I get easily distracted 😅 However there is another mini series in the pipeline revolving around some more light lure fishing on a canal so if things go to plan I should be able to bring that to the channel in the next few weeks.

Can't beat lure fishing for pike on rivers, hunting in the slacks - both the fish and the angler.
Had a frustrating day last time out, bright sunshine on my back, 3 follows right to the bank but spooked when they saw the big daft fisherman. I did see my first ever mink though.
The follows were on a jig fly mostly made with materials from your shop 👍
