Very helpful! I have a 2007 Nightster 1200 that I am adding a Zumo XT GPS to. This helped me understand some options for routing the power cable. Sharp looking Iron!

Definitely comes in handy. Just remember to shut it of when not using. I have mine straight off the battery so the key doesn’t need to be on.
Very good and detailed instructions. That 37 inch cord is kinda short. I have a 12v power port with a 6 ft (72 in) power cord that I used on My Road King. But I had to put a usb plug into it.
Easy Rider it actually turned out to be a perfect length for the bike. I am happy with it overall I just wish the mounting hardware was nicer but for around 15 bucks I won’t complain!
How long is the power cord that goes to the battery? I have a 22' Electra Guide, so i may need some more length than what your bike needs?

I bought the same charger for my bike and it's not turning on. What am I doing wrong? I noticed it came with a fuse. Am I supposed to do something with it?
Yes you need to use the piece with the fuse. Then the charger plugs into that. Hope that helps.

They are stock on the 2019 iron1200 they are 8” mini apes

Not sure if ya know, but I'm wondering if you can use that connection for the battery tender when you're not riding.

Question did you bike not come with the factory pig tail? Couldnt you just of used that or was it because the wires included had the fuse with it

Curious, does this tell you the voltage your battery is putting out or just the voltage of the device your charging?

Hey carl I have a street 750 and the same charging port model.. I tried to plug it to the pigtail charging port where I usually plug my battery tender but it didnt turn on... what should I do next? The model comes also with an adapter where u can reverse the polarity I think.... should I do that?
If it was me I would first try and connect it directly to the battery and make sure it works and take note of the polarity of the wires. Then use a tester to check polarity of battery tender plug. I dont think just swapping polarity will damage anything but I am not a motorcycle professional so its up to you. Let me know how you make out.

if you install can you losses the guarantee of Harley ?
I do not believe installing a usb charger will effect your warranty. Certain engine mods and tuners I hear will void certain parts of your warranty. I am not the dealer though so I can’t say for sure.
I installed this and the fuse blew, do you know the dimensions of the fuse?
No unfortunately
I was able to measure it and it's 5mm x 20mm.

Love this video... just ordered the charger... just a question though... you have no draw on your battery once the unit itself is turned off right? (New to the DIY on motorcycles and recently changed a headlight bulb and then my battery died but was already almost 3yrs old so I figured just the dead battery but was honestly panicking since i had just installed a battery tender port on it as well 😥😥😂)
Alfonso Noyola I believe as long as it is switched off there is no draw.

Its been a little while how do you like it?
I absolutely love this usb charger I am able to keep my gps up as I ride now without my phone dying. Highly recommend it. You just have to remember to turn it off when you are done I have not had a problem at all remembering because you see it when you remove your phone. I am putting in a awesome new battery soon Also I have a video about it coming out this Friday.
