- I almost did not go after this swarm but I am glad that I did. It was the largest swarm that I had even seen in person. I would guess it was aroubd 6 pounds of bees on the low end. I did look ion the box today and they where still in the hive so thats a good thing. Hope you enjoyed this swarm removal.

Keep a Big Gulp plastic cup with you for scooping bees. So much easier. They slip right in and right out. Nice big swarm.
That’s a good idea
You've got plastic buckets right there in the truck
"Big Gulp, aye?....alright, catch ya later"

Thank you
I must say I am really impressed..... And in my heart of hearts kind of glad I didn't have to remove that puppy....
Good to see you back
Keep queen clips handy. Catching the queen or queens is helpful. A swarm that size could have multiple queens.
I normally do but I did not have one in my truck
Nice to see you again!
Great video, nice to see you back

@@dfishman76 Yesterday I had 2 swarms and a cutout!
I just came upon your page and laughed your kinda crazy! But in a fun way! Had some Bumbles in my shed wanted to deter them that's how I found you!😂 Fyi takes a while for them to disperse...ugh
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
We are going to have over55 MPH wind here in N.W. Ar. tomorrow The bees swarm then an you might bee catching some of mine.. Thanks great video.....
Wind has been crazy past few days
Nice swarm
Nice swarm. I've not caught or seen a swarm yet this spring in my neck of the woods. Good video and info.
This is the 4th for the year. Had 2 of them leave the box I put them in. I should take time to cage the queen
@@dfishman76 I have sever swarm traps out, we had 20 degree weather a week ago, warming up good now. Maybe catch some soon. Thanks for your video.
Looks like fun
Missed seeing your videos
Going to try to do better
Can Help catching the falling bees by holding a frame sideways when scooping bees with your hands. Speeds up the process.
Sweet
Long time no see, how you keeping. David UK.
Busy all the time. Thanks for watching
You know , if that's only half of a hive. I'd like to see what the original Hive looked like..... loedie, lordie, what a thought...
Iam still subscribed. Cobus🐳
❣👍
That is a Prime swarm and hope they stay.
I would like to see where they come from
That sure was a huge swarm!
Would you mind taking a look at a video I just posted?
I have a steady stream of dead bees outside of my hive.
In the grand scheme of things, it's not that many bees.
I know bees die all the time, but these little buggers are dying of ~something.
Even so, the inside of the hive looks fantastic.
In short, there's a bunch of bees which are dying which look like they're shaking and not moving about.
Any help or suggestions would bee much appreciated!
It's probably varroa related or starvation, take a class to learn how to avoid both
@@beeawesome7140 Well, it's filled with food, filled with capped brood, filled with open brood, filled with bee bread, & mite count is 2.3%
So...don't think it's food.
Varroa are usually responsible for bringing lots-o-pathogens, but I'd really like to narrow this one down.
@@cluelessbeekeeping1322 let me
Know if you figure it out
Fabulous, waiting for a bit of warmer weather here, finding a swarm this year is what I'm looking forward to. Lost my bee's this winter.
Hopefully you will catch enough to fill all your equipment
Sure hope so. Hope alls well your way.
I didn't realize that just scooped up bee's will sting so much, thought they were calmer.
Don't use leather gloves or they will sting it up. Take a frame plastic fondation and scoop them up or brush them on it.
I am up to 7 swarms so far.
Nice
you sprayed a dangerous chemical in a birdbath??
I would of used a frame out of the box to scoop the bees with. Not my hand. Less likely to be stung.
But more likely to crush bees and cause other issues
Will it be man without smoke and without a 1/2 tour if not much of a bee man this is Uncle rob said that
Lol you don’t smoke swarms.. your uncle Rob does not know what he is talking about…
First!!!
No offense to everyone behind the lens or making things happen "hands on" and with talent.. But, EDITING is the truly tedious part. Some of my friends and I were at the forefront of remote control aerial platforms starting in 1998=ish... I spent 10x more time editing back (if you want to call my amature adobe burps) than I spent traveling to job sites, equipment and all the other incidentals... Just saying, there are definite times when you really shouldn't edit. I think there is FAR TOO much editing and playing around trying to making striking (to some!) videos. I find I gravitate to the good stuff, trimmed or not... Outside of that, what an insane looking hive.. Never seen one like that... Keep up the great work! My cousin has "hobby hives" far out (from home) on their property.. From boxer to beekeeping amatuer.. These videos are great for education, for sure.. I'll share it with him forsure, and others..
The best was to see such a big swarm and how they managed to save themselves by walking into
the hive. The rest was disappointing, really this is not the way to do it. Take same experience with
you to see how it's done. Lastly God's name is sacred, use it only when you talk to Him directly. Cobus🐳
Lol oooook…
