Hey guys, I've tried this for few months, and finally success. Here are few tips for you😘: 1.Make sure the batteries are fully charged 2.Buy a pitcher so u can control the flow more easily 3. Mix the coffee before you start to deal with the milk 4.Warm the milk, I do it in microwave, 600W 90s 5.Start foaming the milk by putting the frother on the upper layer, then put it into the middle layer to form a swirl. If you do in the right way, you can see the big bubble roll into the bottom. I practice how to control the frother with soapy water, so that I can observe the movement of the bubbles 6.When the foamed milk is ready, IMMEDIATELY STARTS your latte work. 7.PRACTICE makes perfect😊
love this! you are amazing. i use moka pot and same frother, i would recommend using soy or cows milk. dont use silk soy milk on a regular frother as bubbles show up really bad. i use trader joe's soy milk and it's a dream! i would also recommend the bialetti brika that creates a crema on top and adding the milk will turn out be just like in a cafe!
Thank you for this video! Very helpful for someone who wants to learn barista skills but couldn't afford to enroll barista classes and an espresso machine. I also own a cappucino hand mixer just like the one you are using, got it from Daiso :)
Listen to me, please Microfoam is everything A good art depends on the microfoam It means how small your bubbles are I tried handheld milk frother for a month and keep failing everytime And when i switch to French Press I successfully managed to pour a latte art in three days As the French press can produce a really fine microfoam. So try to buy a French press and get a easier life. That's all from me
Hello! This is awesome! I've recently bought a pitcher and frother to try out latte art but my milk always comes out separated. The bottom part is basically milk and the top is foam and does not allow for latte art. Do you have any tips on how to create a more velvety textured milk that can create latte art? Thank you for the vid!
I know this is 3 years ago you may have improved, but it's probably because you put in too much air. Only give in the air few seconds in the beginning by keeping the wand on the surface of the milk, then submerge the wand just below the surface of the milk to froth it.
Hey! Okay so I've been trying to do latte art for like forever but I've never once got it to work, it aaaalways foams on top. So I'm using whole milk and I'm using a French press to make strong coffee, but when I start to pour, the coffee (although very dark) becomes very light by the time it gets close to the top. Then when I do pour the "foam" part of it, it's just all thick and it floats right on top instead of being liquidy. Does the cup matter as well because I'm not using a standard saucer cup, just a mug. Thank you so much!
+ConJay Might be the jug you're pouring with, or try banging and swirling your foamy milk before you start pouring, so that you have milk which is more silky and even :)
temperature wise, as long as it is not ice cold it will froth well without being too dense. if it is too hot it will not really affect the foaming but the taste will suffer. get it warm as hot as you can touch it without scalding. The most important variable is the amount of air being churned in. Work between 1-2 seconds of a lot of air being churned in, ie half of the spinning part in milk and other half in air. Aft the 1-2 seconds submerged the whole stick in and froth for about a minute without incorporating air (hissing sound) BUT you want the milk to churn vigorously in order to mix the bubbles into the milk instead of having a layer of foam ontop of liquid milk. To sum up, good quantity of air so that you get a slightly dense milk without being too foamy, and good mixing of foam with milk to form a homogenous layer.
hello, what kind of milk frother you've used in this video? I see tha it has an electrical wire instead of batteries! Did you modified the frother? Can you explain me, how? Tnx!
I have a frother like this but I still keep getting big foam. Do I basically want to put the frother somewat deeply into the milk(after putting in a bit of air) and keep it going until there's no more bubbles? And what is a good length of time to do this for? Thanks!
When I turn on my frother in the air it's super fast but as soon as I put it in the milk it becomes slow. Any solutions or should I look for a new frother?🤦🏻♀️
Is it hot milk? How did you heat up the milk with? I did with microwave but i don't know exactly how many Celsius and how long to heat up. Please help me
Will UHT milk works too? I tried fresh milk but I bought 1liter, used 200ml x 2 to practice latte art. then the next day I want to practice again but my 600ml balanced milk spoilt 😞 if uht can be used it's better than buying expensive fresh milk
radziahradzi your fresh milk spoilt so quickly?? How did that happen. My fresh milk can last at least 3-4 days in the fridge. My uht milk seems to work also when i use the frother
@@junbecks thanks for replying. Yea buying fresh milk is like sort of a gamble, sometimes they last long (3 days after opening) sometimes it spoilt quickly. I always buy the no preservatives one like Farm Fresh because they tasted better &no additional sugar (i assume you are Malaysian), so I read that this type depends a lot on how the retailer store their milk, sometimes they store above the optimum temp, so the milk might go bad quickly. It's ok if your family can finish in one go..but to keep in fridge is a gamble. On latte art, ok I'll keep practicing with uht then. Until now, I think I've practiced about 30-40 times but still fail to create art 😂😂😂 yesterday I almost got it but my coffee base was already too milky so can't see the pattern 😂 will keep trying haha Thanks
Zakiya Imam the black coffee is an espresso shot, most probably coming from an espresso machine coffee maker. And the milk can be used regular or low fat, the kind that you get pasteurized in a box. But just to practice and experiment. You can use instant coffee too. Make a thicker shot by very little water(hot but not boiling) and a tsp of instant coffee. Use a small device like in the video to froth your milk and experiment. Use slightly warm milk to froth. Heat the milk again in a microwave and mix the milk and froth together with a spoon. Add it to your instant coffee shot and you’ll have a mock cappuccino. You can add little sugar to the milk you gonna froth. But remember frothing itself makes milk sweeter than usual. Hope that helps. 😊
+analeelopez8 if you're lactose use trader joe's soy milk unsweetened, the rest of the brands except pacific soy milk is good, never silk nor almond milk. unless you use an espresso machine that is more powerful than a regular frother.cow's milk is good the thicker the milk, the better! hope that helped :)
Low fat is bad. The trick is in the incorporation of air. Try to get a hissing sound while being sure to affect the entirety of the milk. If it's not even, only a small amount of foam will form on top.
Can you do a video demo of trying this for making small serving of hollendaise sauce via slowly adding melted butter, etc., to 2 or 3 egg yokes while blending, for eggs benedict, to see if it would work, in that regard?
Do you heat up the milk first? My almond milk won't froth with the hand frother, only with the one on my parents' expensive coffee machine. Don't wanna be adding cold milk to my coffee, though 🤭
Just realised I can get the same result by using mini whisk in a cup. Roll the Whisk handle between two hands (like rubbing your palm together). Do it fast and back and forth.
Don't go to all that trouble of heating milk then using this thing for frothing. Buy yourself a decent automatic milk frother and you won't be disappointed, it also heats it up at the same time.
I see that you're not using battery cell, it's direct current to the frother. I wanna do the same with mine Can you make some video on that our give some tips. I'll prefer video though

Yes, Kiki! I was hoping the method was similar to steamers on machines. Thank you for the demo! Looks lovely!
