    When I had a life (i.e., before 5 kids, 2 with special needs) I was a very high mileage runner and cyclist. At age 63, I absolutely hit rock bottom. I totally lost confidence and thought I could never get back into shape. After 2 months I just had my 50th ride and am well on my way. After each workout I review my metrics to see how I am improving. This keeps me highly motivated. And keep in mind the $39 per month covers the entire household, so there is an economy of scale. The Bike+ has changed my life. I'm living with greater confidence and feel much better throughout the day.

      @@LeslieDugger LOL, actually I wound up disappointed as I only lost 7 pounds after 75 rides. I haven't been on it since, but will get back to it at the right time. I got burned out as my goal was to come in the top 20% every ride. Next time slow and steady.

    Have it as well. It is really good, but, the calorie counter is way off unless you have the Apple watch. Overall, yes it is expensive, but, it is a really good premium piece of kit and it really feels it. It is about the same as 2 middle of the road gym memberships so it can be worth it. You can also just ring up Peleton and get strapped pedal cages for about £30 ish, they don't advertise this.

    I'm thinking of buying a used on , is there any chance I could have issues with previous owner not paying monthly fees or owing money on bike without me knowing. ? Also, are there any free classes on the touch screen or you tube that I can access without paying a monthly fee ?

  • @fotogi1
    @fotogi1 3 года назад +18

    have it. love it.
    the issue with clipping out is likely due to the tension on the pedals' clips being a quarter to half turn too tight. they give you all the hex tools you need to adjust every part of the bike as needed.
    personally, i use a samsung phone and watch and i take 80% powerzone classes, so a couple of the biggest features on the the plus bike are wasted on me... but the bigger rotating screen is still well worth it. they copied the huge trend of people paying for an aftermarket add on for rotating the screen which was smart. i just wish they did the same for adjusting the handle bars forward and back.

    • @fotogi1
      @fotogi1 3 года назад +3

      actually... looking again... your pulling your foot out of the clip. do not do this! you're supposed to rotate out by kicking your heel outwards. if its loose enough to clip out by lifting once you get to higher resistance and you're pedaling properly with both push and pull, you'll probably have and accident and risk seriously hurting yourself. half of the post ride stretch's give a quick bit about proper unclipping, so i'm surprised in a month this wasn't learned by the reviewer.

    • @whaheydelee
      @whaheydelee 2 года назад

      Just to add to that - the adjustment screw is on the bottom of the pedal in the back. There are "+/-" signs to indicate tension.

    Purchased the Bike Plus back in June 2021. For the past couple of months I’ve been experiencing pedal crank noise & wobbly handlebar issues. I contacted Peleton tech support, sent them uploaded videos and I was told that replacement parts were going to be ordered and shipped directly to me, a third party vendor is going to contact me to schedule an appointment to replace the parts. Frankly, I didn’t spend nearly $3K for the bike & extended warranty to have a third party vendor come out to troubleshoot. I’m not too happy about that. It makes me feel like PELETON is no different than Nordictrack. So keep that in mind before you spend your hard earned money.

    LoL.. this is what happens when someone who knows nothing about cycling is given a cycle to review, and then does a hands on video with no substance, that he’s calling a review.
    It’s a standard speed cycling cleat. You can buy your own shoes. You can replace the pedal entirely with the tools Peloton provided in the support bag. You can switch to MTB cleats, or a regular shoe harness. Did you even take the introduction classes to teach you how to unsnap? This is more like “I did one ride, had a hard time unsnapping, and want to call this a review.” No talk about why the mix of hardware and software make this bike different over a regular bike with a TV. 🤦🏻‍♂️
