  • After all the recent press around Peloton, I started to wonder if I made a mistake buying my Peloton Bike. However, after six months of using their entire ecosystem (including the Peloton App), I wanted to share my thoughts in this Peloton Bike review. If you've been wondering if it's still worth buying the Peloton bike over other Peloton alternatives out there, then this is the video for you!
    Also the Peloton GUide just recently came out and its on the way. Unboxing and first impressions coming soon!

      I live near a Peloton studio and when the studio was open before covid, I would go a live class atleast 3 times a week. But after the pandemic started and gyms closed, I purchased a Peloton, I'll say I just don't feel motivated to ride at home as i did going to the class somehow.

    I’m a huge Peloton fan. So much so that we also have the tread+ (which we also love). I ride 6 days per week, and use the tread 7 days per week. We first bought our bike in October 2019, and clearly our timing was a blessing (hello pandemonium). Peloton has been instrumental for me to maintain my 90 lbs weight loss, which is certainly no easy feat after 40! We also travel a lot in the spring and summer, and while I sometimes get separation anxiety when we do(😅), I love being able to maintain my daily streak with the app. I’m not a big fan of commercial gyms, so home work out has been perfect for me.😊

  • @MrKHafid
    @MrKHafid Год назад +10

    I bought the Bike+ for my home gym. The experience within the first month was enough for me to be hooked. I haven't missed a day of working out since buying the bike. I've since purchased the Tread and the Row. The high price definitely drives you to keep at it, because you do hear about people who buy these high end bikes only to let them collect dust and use them to hang their dry cleaning.
    For those with an FSA, if a doctor provides you with a letter of necessity, your FSA will cover the cost of the bike/tread/row up to the amount you spend or have available in your account. You cannot get FSA to pay for your equipment without a pre-existing condition. That can include cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.

    Does the peloton have a watt meter, a flywheel, does it have the ability to automatically vary resistance either in response to hills or as part of a structured interval workout?
    It seems to just be a gym bike with music and videos.
    I have a Wahoo, but the new Zwift hub looks good for 500. Zwift lets you ride one level with unpaid membership. Both Zwift and Wahoo memberships cost 15/mo compared to much higher for Peloton.

    The seat is sooooo small and extremely uncomfortable!!! I would never! My sister can’t even enjoy hers because of the seat! We wear the same shoes size so I tried it and I had to keep standing because the seat was so extremely uncomfortable!! I will try the treadmill 🙏🏽

      I recommend buying a nice pair of padded bike shorts/bibs. It will make a big difference. You will get used to the small seat, it's designed like that for a reason.

    How is this different from paying for a gym membership? The core problem is that people are not being accountable or responsible for their lack of fitness goals and sticking to them. It does not matter the apparatus being used, it is all about committing to something like walking every day for an 1hr at a brisk pace with sensible eating habits will net you the same results and cost you little to nothing. Add some calisthenics for strength training and you are golden, but as I stated before people need to be consistent with whatever it is they do and not invest in an expensive apparatus and think that is the solution.

      Completely agree with this perspective. Consistency matters more than variety/novelty. I think the company that can find the solution to that will be a true winner in the health and fitness space and will ultimately lead a more lasting impact!

      I love the bike . I ride 4 to 5 days a week and i incorporate the strength programs as well. It more convenient for me and I am more consistent when I work out at home . I have a busy lifestyle and running to a gym . My gym is right in my home Not to worried about it being a failed business .. it will get bought out . Do u need the bike .. no one needs this bike . But I know what works for me. To each there own . But it’s a great bike . Like to get the tread next

      For some people - investing money into something like this will absolutely get them to start to actually work out. Add in the fact that it’s literally in your house and super convenient and now you have a lot of people who’s lives were changed by the peloton actually,

    • @hattrick257
      @hattrick257 8 месяцев назад

      Lol how? Umm… well because you don’t leave your house obviously. You jump on for 20-30 mins, hip in the shower and go to work. Or after work. I rent it for $89 a month and I love it. I don’t t have to drive to and from the gym, and don’t have to be around people.
