    Purchased the Bike Plus back in June 2021. For the past couple of months I’ve been experiencing pedal crank noise & wobbly handlebar issues. I contacted Peleton tech support, sent them uploaded videos and I was told that replacement parts were going to be ordered and shipped directly to me, a third party vendor is going to contact me to schedule an appointment to replace the parts. Frankly, I didn’t spend nearly $3K for the bike & extended warranty to have a third party vendor come out to troubleshoot. I’m not too happy about that. It makes me feel like PELETON is no different than Nordictrack. So keep that in mind before you spend your hard earned money.

    “Another SIGNIFICANT difference is they’ve changed the handle bars just a little bit” lol
    Get the old bike. It’s half the price

    Thank you for the excellent review. Before I make any large purchase I do my research. This is definitely one of the best. The upgraded features while nice are not worth the $1,000. Again, much thanks.

    Thank you for this comparison. I was at the Peloton store yesterday trying to decide between the 2. I ended up getting the original bike. Saving $1000 was a no brainer for me. The differences were not enough for me to go with the bike+. I have a large screen TV in the room where the bike will be and can use that to run the peloton app on Apple TV so the swivel screen is not needed for me. I thought the screen on the bike was large enough. Auto follow is nice but not necessary. With the $1000 I saved I plan to get a road bike as well.

      did you notice any difference in the ride itself? was the plus any smoother?

    Thank you! I am getting the Peloton, the extra features on the plus are not worth the $1000 difference.

    Just ordered my peloton 2 nights ago after my friend recommended it. He hands down sold me on the Bike over the Bike+ and this review solidified that for sure!! Loved the video!! Thank you so much!!

    Personally when I make the decision on which bike to buy, I ask myself, why am I buying this piece of fitness equipment. The answer for me is how much benefit am I getting by doing the exercises. I am not looking for bells and whistles and what I consider to be unnecessary automation that has no effect on the quality of the exercise. Will the automation make the exercise better and more of a benefit to my body? The answer is simply , there is no additional benefit for the automated resistance. Also, when considering the price difference of $1,000 in this case, the decision on which to buy is already made.

      Thanks! We would love to review the Technogym bike but we don't currently have plans to get that bike into our studio. We will work on it though! We do however have he Wahoo Fitness Kickr Bike on the way to our studio which is very similar.

    For $50 you can make the original screen swivel too. The display (slightly larger but still 1080p, slight webcam quality increase, faster processor, better speakers) and motor controlled magenetic resistance (to enable auto adjustments during taped workouts only) are the only true differences. The rest is hardly worth the time spent talking about it.

    Good review. One of the many differences we are interested in is the Apple Watch sync feature with the Bike + which was not in your review. Was hoping to "see" the Watch feature in action....

      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 года назад +6

      The Bike+ is supposed to sync with an Apple watch. But I've heard conflicting reports on how well it actually syncs. We should have added this to our review. We need to get ahold of an Apple watch to do so. I'm a Garmin wearer. I'll see if we can find someone with an Apple watch and maybe do a quick video. Thanks for watching!

      @@TreadmillReviewGuru thanks. I was also hoping you’d touch on Gym Kit for Apple Watch support. As you mentioned there has been varying reviews but most are also dated. I was hoping a newer review would cover how well it works. Overall great review! I’m trying to decide if an upgrade is worth it with Peloton’s new trade in promotion. My bike is 3 years old with probably 16K+ miles on it.

    Will the bikes resistance work without the tablet plugged in?
    I could not care less about the technology. I want the most intense workout and quality hardware.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  Год назад

      Since the resistance is manual, yes you can/should be able to use both bikes without the tablet. You just won't be able to see any of your metrics or anything like that.

    If i buy the peloton bike plus, will the resistance still automatically change if i opt to use the more affordable $12 per month peloton app?

    • @NotesYT
      @NotesYT Год назад

      You have to have the $39 per month subscription, the 12.99 one is for people without the bike.

    My wife is recovering from a broken leg and her physical therapist recommends an exercise bike. Are any of the classes geared for someone recovering from an injury? Seat width is a big issue for ride comfort. What is the width of the seat? Are there options to get the right seat width? Can I use a different pedal such as SPD, Time, or Crank Brothers? Does the resistance knob have audible and/or tactile feedback when making adjustments? Is it a fixed crank or can you coast? It's been quite a few years since I took a spin class and I imagine the peloton fixes many of the complaints I had about the old exercise bikes. Thanks for your time.

    Does the Bike+ come with the shoe clips or did you add them?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 года назад

      We purchased those as an add-on. They are okay for casual riding but the pedal surface isn't as large as I would like and it felt like I was riding on my toes a bit. For smaller users, or the occasional guest, they'd be great, but I wouldn't recommend them if you plan to ride regularly. You can get Delta LOOK cleats put on any cycling shoe - that might be a better option if you already own a pair of shoes.
