As a woman I never buy clothes from Shein or Temu even if it is cheap because I always felt like it was a waste of money. The fit and quality was terrible. I will pay up for high quality basic items.

exactly. the best is finding quality items at a thrift store. best of both worlds.

I have had friends purchase items from Shein and Temu and those items were full of lead and other hazardous Materials. The reason I know this because they tested those product and was amazed at the amount of lead in them. In the U.S. we have standard of what is not allowed but those companies don't follow U.S. Law always.

SHEIN & Temu are horrible for the environment! This is fast fashion that ends up in our land fills made with non organic cotton, polyester and other synthetic material that don’t decompose. We have to educate everyone about how fast fashion is depleting our natural resources, especially water. Circulatory is our future. Slow fashion is the way to go.

Selling jewelry you are able to resell for much more if you give the history of the item, and a bit about the company, design or material.

i think all these will fade out ebay is still the best selling platform , in the uk we do have vinted second hand clothing platform people sell alot cheaper on there and fees but there is issues with it like not getting paid straight away you have to wait for seller to mark as received which they dont always do ive waited 1 month for £3 pound payment

Thank you for this aspect. It's inline with the way my business is set up. I sell vintage collectibles and am also an author. I prefer to add stories / history to my items descriptions. I'll definitely go back and update to elaborate more. I'm trying to find a way to combine my two businesses by selling items that influence a particular scene in my novels. Execution and tying the two together as an experience is something to think about.

My van is my dream car. Lol. It truly is for me. I despise temu and I know that's what we're going to see at yard sales and thrift stores for a long time. Whatnot has changed the landscape for a lot of resellers because of people who are buying impulsively the items presented. On ebay, the search engines almost limit your searches by narrowing down too much.

Shopping on Temu is inexpensive for some people however the quality of Merchandise isn't there and what a lot of people aren't considering is these companies cut cost when producing these products. Therefore you can get and item you think is inexpensive but it's full of Lead, or some other danagerous chemicals. All items from Temu, Shein and others like them should be tested for lead and other hazardous Materials . Cheap doesn't always mean safe and quality I think people forget that when they are shopping at Temu & Shein.

Although its often said that people want experiences over possessions is there a direct corolation? I wonder if this is more of a marketing trend to get the already affluenient to travel more - they have the cash in the first place. Don't forget the people who struggle to afford very neccessary purchases in the first place and then get gaslighted.

I have never read the description for any item purchased on eBay...the app makes it impossible to find, three clicks makes it out of reach of 99% of shoppers. Sorry you got booted from eBay for questionable reasons. I hope your new whatnot streaming is keeping the cash flow going.

I noticed that they have a little window that pops up now when you click on the description. I think too many sellers put a ton of irrelevant information in the description. I just put the condition and any issues or flaws in the description and I really want people to read it. I under promise and over deliver if possible. ❤
