Wonderful putter review. I have the 7 and absolutely love it. I agree that the slightly smaller putter body makes you focus more. The fact that the 7 also scoops up your ball (and saves your back) is a major bonus! My old 5 was never very good at that. 😊

Great review. Big question: Velcro or Magnet headcover? Always been Velcro’s with Scottys and only thing that lets them down. Minor point I know but when you are paying top dollar you expect a closure that won’t wear out.
They are still velcro!

I felt the same but changed my mind when I found out they need to be velcro otherwise the magnets would stick to the putter head when you're taking it off and putting it on. It's not a cop out, it's a design requirement.
Yeah........another reason to go for the toulon
@@stogieman1270 check for yourself. Different manufacturers use different materials, some are magnetic and some aren't. I think it's a carbon content thing but not 100% sure on that. When you're next in a shop that has different putters, try swapping the head covers. Then you can come back to me and say 'hey, you were right after all'! 😉
7.5 is amazing! I’ve struggled with my blade. Massive improvements with the 7.5

Why in the world would should I listen to the advice she gives???? How about lagging put after put from what distance 50 60 feet? to kick in range. And, 14 of 15 putts from that knee knocker range that could save me a number of strokes per round. What a great putting stroke! Very informative and has helped me narrow my putter choices. Great video!
I am waiting since first week of June my phantom 5 ….hope it will get around before the Montreal ( Canada 🇨🇦) winter !
I had a Scotty fitting in April last year and ordered it the same day, I got the putter in December. Good look in getting one as they are keeping most of the production for the States.

I've tested the 11 from 2021 and wondering what has changed for the 2022 model that's coming in June.. Looks like just the grip, headcover and sole, no other tech changes. Wondering whether I go for the 2021 model or hold for the 2022. I actually prefer the looks for the current 2021 one
Same here! I’ve got the 2021 X11, and I love it! Besides the sole, grip and headcover (which I think are hideous anyways), they’re basically the same thing. No need to change

Always seemed if u have big arcing putt, you want face balanced & vice versus. I have arcing stroke and i use face balanced and has helped me from pulling putts left

I to am a fan of the 7 and 7.5. I believe this is the one that JT uses on Tour. It really sits nice behind the ball.
He uses a 5 or 5.5

As others said he uses 5.5 but the 7.5 is a comparable but visually quite different option. For me I went in wanting and loving the 5.5, I tried it and did really like it but I wasn't 100% something just wasn't quite right, tried others but left empty handed, came back 2 more times before buying the 7.5 AND the patience was SO worth it. Very glad I didn't give in to the sales push on day 1 to get me into the 5.5 once they knew I liked it.
Would like to see a close up of the grips and how they taper
Please put better camera angles on reviews so viewers can see how the putter looks at address. Like from the face down instead of at an angle. Also you could do more by showing the amount of toe hang on the .5 models and if they vary between models.

Why do the "reviews" ALWAYS leave out the center shaft models ... like it doesn't exist
one tiny problem with scotties is they are so expensive wish they would made a more affordable range but i must admit this range really ticks all the boxes great review

Putters aren't the cost people think
I got the 2021 Phantom X 5 and it's probably the best putter I've ever owned. Scotty Cameron is a premium brand tho and I can't see Titleist diluting the brand. Because of that brand recognition Scotty Putters also hold their resale value for much longer.

@@djtherap I prefer the neck style on the 5 it matches up with my stroke better! I would say the 7/7.5 is more forgiving
Was the Toulon 7 more forgiving or less than this phantom x 7?
Just got fit for a new putter, money wasn’t an issue that being said the Scotty Cameron are beautiful clubs but the feel wasn’t as good as my new Ping

They are slightly better. I’ve tried both numerous times. I like having the adjustable weights also.

After 50 years of playing & being able to buy every type of putter, get a SeeMore.
Is the weight at the front to lower the spin lol
Forward weight can reduce spin, it brings the centre of gravity forward which promotes forward roll and can help reduce backspin which will ultimately give you more consistent pace control.
In terms of toe hand and stroke are the x7 and x5 similar

Yes there is a 5.5. There is a .5 in every model except the 12!
