This is the beauty and genius of stop motion animation, no matter what time period, this film will ALWAYS look beautiful, all the hard work and dedication put into this project will pay off for hundreds and thousands of years as this film look remarkabkle.

if they do have basically a right eye movie and a left eye movie, they could seriously have work with headsets as a 3d movie
10 years later. still my favorite movie from my childhood, and one of my favorites still now.
I have watched this movie at least 30 times and each time I notice something new. I will never get tired of this movie.
So excited to see the 3D version in theaters this August!

I have this film. I have a dedicated 3D Projection Theatre, TV, and SONY TD10 Camera. I have only screened this film for the family and haven't gotten around to it yet. THIS IS INSANE! GREAT! What an idea to capture this. OMGOSH I can't wait to check this out now. I understand and a huge fan of 3D. Can't believe you all did this. This sounds amazing. I want to know more. Man it would me amazing if you could release it again but in 3-D I was too young to watch it in theatres. I would definitely watch it again, well who am i kidding I watched it like a billion times. BUt I will watch it another bc this is just so great.

They legit made the film twice
But the movement of the camera between taking the pictures is done automatically, right?
Also how are you making sure the picture is in focus every time, are there like people adjusting the focus every (few) frame(s) or how does that work?
Yes, it's automated. And usually the focus is also automated so it's prepared beforehand and the focus shift is done one step at a time by a servo motor.

This was my favourite movie growing up and in recent years I have came to love the stop-motion process of Coraline as well as the the story narrative. It’s crazy the amount of hard work and dedication that went into this movie, a handful of the scenes I cannot even begin to fathom the idea on how you filmed each frame. A complete masterpiece… thank you.

I hope they rerelease it nationally in 3d. I remember watching Coraline when it came out in 3d, and it was great and after I saw avatar 2 I wondered how they made this in the format because I knew they didn't just post convert they put in the extra effort and it paid off like the rest of the movie it was great. I love these behind-the-scenes the more in-depth the better esp for a film as great as this

This Movie, was Released Right in The Big Technological Advance, which Technology Started to Advance Very Fast and The possibilities for films grew even More and more things. But it's still a Great Movie And Very Relevant to this day yet, And is One of the Only movies which were animated by hand frame by frame, which is a very hard thing
I watch Things alot of times and I get bored but Coraline I could watch it everyday all day all night
And now they are doing a remastered 3D in theatres

Watching this again recently, the only scene that was distracting was the piano hands part. It really sucks since that makes it feel dated in that moment, considering the 3-d thing was mostly a gimmick that passed. Really the only blemish of the entire film
