Never ceases to amaze me how many different and unique looks David had throughout his life. Truly an artistic chameleon.

I wore my hair very long for most of my adult life, and David Bowie was one of my main first inspirations. Before the internet, it was MTV.

So true, David Bowie is, was & always will be one of the most influential artists to ever walk the Earth. I feel privileged to say that I saw Bowie live three times & he never let me down.

I'm a major David Bowie freak and have been for all of my life. There are obviously still many surprises to come from David Bowie even though he has died. Many of the photos shown in this video I had never seen before, they're nothing short of amazing. Can't thank you enough for sharing this video with all of us Bowie fanatics. Thanks once again for sharing this wonderful video.

Yes I agree with you whole heartedly. That beautiful old building should have been restored & declared a historic landmark. That place should have been seen as a national treasure & a true point of pride. I'm sure Bowie fans everywhere would've been more than happy to pay a price to take a tour of such a place filled with so much rock music history. What a shame it's gone.

    Facts you left out:
The Bowie's flat was just the middle section of the house with the grand stairs and stained glass. It was only 3 bedrooms. One occupied by the Bowies, one by Tony Visconti and his girlfriend at the time and one (eventually) by Zowie & his nanny. Most of the Spiders slept on the upper landing (on the floor) at the top of those grand stairs. The album cover for the UK version of Man Who Sold the World (the dress cover) was taken at Haddon Hall. Bowie wrote MWStW, Hunky Dory & Ziggy while living in this house. There are MANY more fabulous photos of the place that were excluded from this video.

Sweet! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.. maybe it’ll be encouragement enough for him to do a second ‘mini’ video. More Bowie Part 2! 🎶

Where might we access those photos? I know I'd love to see them. I have never been to England. I fear photos like those are as close as I'll ever get.

I tried to rent a flat in Haddon Hall in 1978! We knocked on the door and a tenant gave us Mr Hoy's address, but there were no vacancies. We managed to get a flat in Bromley from A & E Services in Shortlands. I was moving from Lincolnshire and the owner offered me a job there, so I got a flat and a job in the same day! The owner, Mrs Moule told me that David got the flat from her agency and he gave her some signed album covers.

I went to school just across the road from here in the early 70s.
Bowie was very big amongst the girls at that school.

Design Psychology! I hadn't heard that description before even though so many of us do that naturally and steer away from the mundane and standard colour and design. Thanks loving this theme.

Wow it was demolished and replaced with boring modern apartments? Typical

It should've been preseserved for its historical cultural value.

What a fascinating video, never seen some of those photos, thanks. Even if Bowie hadn't lived there, they should never have been allowed to demolish such a beautiful architectural triumph of a building. It should be open today as a museum to one of the greatest recording artists of the rock & pop age.

The Daily Mail spoke to two women who both said they had sex with Bowie underage. Dana Gillespie, who alleged she had sex with Bowie aged just 14, said: "As far as sex went, if it moved, he was there. Man, woman, old or young.

How was David Bowie able to afford such a large home in the late 60s when he really didn’t have that much success on the singles chart

Nice video...however, I must point out that Bowie didn't name the house Haddon Hall, the name had been changed long before he lived there and in one photo from his time there an obviously quite old sign above the front door reads Haddon Hall.

My ancestor Thomas Manners Earl of Rutland lived in the real Haddon Hall
