Rowston North's OD crossing has always had problems. One time it randomly did an emergency sequence which you caught when the barriers lowered slowly for some weird reason. Why is it OD anyway with hardly any traffic? Aylesford Village's crossings would be better off MCB-OD than this.
Max Ganesh this type of level crossing isn’t automatic it’s controlled by signallers. Only level crossings with barriers covering the entire road aren’t automatic
@@ChilternRailPhotographyIt's a MCB-OD, or formally, a CB-OD. These are automatically operated, because there's an obstacle detection system, shaped like an "egg". The signal turns green when the obstacle detection proves the crossing is clear.
This recently happend at scopwick well not failed but the alarms went off the light shown but the train passed but the barrier were stuck for what I record about 3.5 to 2 hours
Joe I'm not from the UK I'm from Ireland but this has happened to me in barberstown level crossing in County Dublin the first time when I went there was Halloween and a light to working the siren the second time the siren was not working someone broke it and I found out why some broken light on the barrier I don't know which one but that is so illegal 😀😱🤮

The crossing's completely automatic, but I think something on the track (which activates the crossings) is broken.

I also would have used the Phone on the crossing to let me signalman know what happened.
They already knew because the train driver phoned in.
