You know when you are visiting a city from another country and it's morning time there, that is the best feeling in the world. And that hotel looks like a college dorm. Great vid as always Johnny! Thank you!

Thank you very much Johnny for the hotel tour, I like the look of the hotel with its burgundy/gold/black theme. I agree the room does look small but for the price and the location it seems a decent place to stay for a couple of nights. At least we know the bidet works! 🤣Many thanks and have a great weekend! ☺

I stayed in this hotel back in January. Best thing about it, is the Lawson on the ground floor, and you are literally 5 steps away from the higashi shinjuku station, the Ueno line, not the Fukutoshin line. Love this small hotel.

My wife and I stayed here way back in 2012. We pretty much only used the room for sleeping, so the small size was fine for us. It was a great spot with the station right next door, Lawson's downstairs, McDonald's across the street and Pepper Lunch down the road. Would stay again!

Thanks for this! I just reserved 3 rooms for me and my family and I'm having second thoughts because of the tiny room. Before I can cancel, may I know which room you got? We got the double room I think. 179 canadian dollars for each room per night.

@@timlember5937 I opted for a hotel that's near everything, because the room sizes in tokyo hotels are almost all the same - well except for those really expensive ones. I booked APA Shibuya.

Your hotel room is one of the popular Minimalism in Japan. Space is expensive in Japan.

I would stay there. Good price by Tokyo standards. My only drawback is that tub shower would take a while getting comfortable to use.

In 2019 I stayed in an Airbnb directly next to your building but it was 4 times the size. Higashi is a great station I agree with you.
A few days ago I was up in shin okubo but closer to the higashi a13 exit side. That one was about 250ft in size with large windows but twice your price.

Nice video. That hotel room is quite small, but it gets the job done.

I was in that McDonald's too. Had a 'Samurai burger'.maybe a Samurai Big Mac or Quarter Pounder. Pretty good, except for some silly BBQ sauce that really wasn't necessary. I think your room may have been better than mine, which was at one of the APA hotels down the street. You definitely had a much better view! By the way (re:5:56) my friends who live in Tokyo pronounce it "Ah-pah".

This doesnt seem like such a good value, the room is really tiny. Even APA rooms seem somewhat bigger. The location is ok, I think it woud be better to be on the Yamanote line nodes, the less busy ones. The hotel is good for a quick stopover or if youre just coming in to sleep and dont want any luxury at all, I say if youre travelling at least splurge on space and comfort in a hotel room in such a busy city.
