My TR is sitting at a nice 340HP with PW FMIC noble cat back exhaust Turbo smart dual port BOV Perrin turbo inlet Ets intake Tuned by Clark turner on 93 pump. Not sure what I can/want to do next. I want to be around 400-450 on 93
would you guys recommend repainting the stock fenders and trim over buying paint matched fenders? curious what the cost difference is, paint matched fenders are like 699. LOL
I must be an outlier because I like the black cladding more, I think the mistake was made with the rear end. I hate the rear end of of the VB. I bought a 2024 RS and get disgusted when I look at the back of it, what were they thinking when they were designing that rear bumper, the rest of the car is beautiful and flows with the wide body look. I'm downsizing to 18×8 +45 for my winter rims and am curious to see if the thicker sidewall and lower offset of the 18" wheel is noticable with the handling of the WRX.
@PrivateLabelMfg compared to the stock 19×8.5+55 wheel with 245/19 potenzas, the 18's feel like mush, there's a lot of wheel movement now compared to the super tight stock setup. It takes bumps a lot better now but the TR/RS handle so well stock.
I am curious as to longevity of the paint-matched cladding. Most that did the same thing sanded everything down to smooth finish before spraying. I wonder the paint will chip in the future? Can anyone chime-in?
most ppl just buy the afd aftermarket ones. JDMuscle sells ones now as well. I'd prefer oem sanded down and painted, but bodyshops want to rip you off. The flares will definitely get some chips if you don't protect them with protective film.
I have a question as a vb owner. Most people who go big turbo at this moment, have a higher peak HP number but are actually about as quick as someone like me who just has intake and e85. That is because the stock motors don't rev high and the big turbo needs that to really make a difference. Did you guys run into that issue?
@PrivateLabelMfg That will be good to see I think the size of your new turbo isn't as ridiculously big as some of the ETS options but I've seen someone with my setup run 11s on the drag strip and the ets turbo run 12s. Numbers aren't everything if it's fun but I'm excited to see your next video after it's tuned!

I have seen the replacement fenders from others but its good to know that even just painting them makes them look way better!

I know there tired now days but ill for ever love the TE37's. The cladding is fine side and front, its only bad on the back bumper. Car looks great

Nah the hexagonal texture on it helps reduce drag so I see no reason to get rid of it

Ask your location shop. Sometimes its cheaper to have them painted if you take them off yourself rather than have them prep your car.

I have a 22 vb with 92k all stock miles. Starting to hear a tick or knock noise only when driving. Good luck…. Hoping it’s not an engine issue.

We have not. We are waiting for the tune. But typically the tune increase the rpm limit as well.
