Let the PS4 & Xbox One Die Already… #shorts
It’s time to pull the life support on the PS4 and Xbox One. As we approach year 4 of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the gaming industry is giving little reason for casual gamers to upgrade from PS4 and Xbox One. Almost every big game this generation either runs on last gen or looks like a slightly upgraded version of a last-gen game. Even this year's Call of Duty will run on last gen, along with an upcoming port of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.
Rumors suggest that in 2 years there will be a new generation of Xbox consoles and in 4 years a new generation of PlayStation consoles. So if you haven’t upgraded yet, what are you waiting for? GTA 6?

You know... I think it's better that the old gen still lives. No one needs to pay for those overpriced pieces of junk with no games, higher prices and broken promises. There is a reason why most people didn't upgrade
Because they don't have to, games are still cross gen. Time to cut the cord and actually take advantage of these systems.
@@infernaltim Sony and Microsoft had 4 years to take advantage of those consoles and did nothing. 60FPS standard? Nah, still locked 30. Any good games? Maybe like 3 at maximum. Prices? Higher, higher and higher for broken products and still existing online paywall.
I don't even know if they finally stopped releasing games to old gen, if people would upgrade. Most new AAA games just suck and "exclusives" are not exclusive anymore, they all or most are on PC

I upgraded to PC. They should release multiple tiers. A 1080p, 1440 and a 4k beast versions of consoles.

With the over bloated budgets on these games, they have to get as much of a return as they can. But from a customer standpoint, that old gen needs dropped. Time to move on.
Tbh for the xbox one yea but the ps4 is still a decently powerful system with a lot of market out there there's still money to be made supporting it and putting games on it as long as they can be optimized to run on it it hasnt yet become cost ineffective which would mean it hasnt become so much of a profit lost to work around the less powerful hardware of the ps4 in comparsion to ps5 where there's no market value and companies wouldnt make back the development budget
The ps4 needs to become a market lost and the only way that happens is if sony guts the Playstation store and Playstation network on it like they did the ps3 only leaving behind a skeleton crew to keep up some basic features probably like making sure netflix or youtube still works
Unless sony does that with the ps4 anytime soon it will remain a marketable console to push games onto
It's not a problem with players or the game devs it's a sony thing sony needs to give the reason for ps4 players to upgrade and they also need to give a reason for game devs to only develop ps games for ps5 not ps4 only issue with that is 5he ps4, still likely makes sony a decent chunk of money because of it's still high remaining monthly user count and how many f2p titles with monetization schemes like fortnite and gachas mmos that are on the ps4 as well and money talks so it's like full circle sony isnt giving players a reason to leave behind the ps4 players are still spending money on ps4 versions of games game devs and producers see there's still a market here and sony gets more incomes from it all so they likely have more incentive to keep the ps4 servers running for as long as they can

The graphical jump truly should be 5 times over. But with releasing the PS4 Pro. Its 4 tflops. I always wondered why they dont drop support for the base consoles and cross platform for the pro & 5. The gap isnt as big.
Thats not the problem though. Year 4 of the PS5 & theres no exclusive games just for PS5. If there are there remasters of ps4 games and I wont count directors cuts. Theres 7 games still for PS5 only and they’re not good.
When a reason is given to upgrade to the PS5 people will.
That’s why it’s better to get this gens consoles now because I’m 95% sure their gonna support them for a long time like the ps4 and Xbox one that’s why I’m buying a series s now and I already have a ps5
I really want to buy the ps5 but im a 15 year old kid having no money bc my mom needs it for buying food and i never got that much money yet

It has been confirmed that PS4 and Xbox one console online support ends on Christmas 2025 after which you can only play offline games
I can ask you a similar set of questions. I think they should stop making replacement parts for your car. It has been more than 6 months since they came out with the 2024 version of your car. I heard that they are going to release a new version of your car next year. Are you going to upgrade your car?
