After 30+ yrs in behavioral/mental health social work, my experience has clearly shown me that a solid 95% of so-called "mentally ill", "sociopathic", & a host of other societal labels are utter hogwash. (The other 5% I have not encountered) We all come from somewhere, & it's not pretty for many of us, but we always have choice- period. So disgusted with how many are excused for heinous actions based on their own trauma, afflictions, childhoods, weaknesses, etc. We can just as readily choose not to repeat evil or revenge upon others in life. GF, So many bizarre events with this case. Forensic tech named Jennifer Soto?! The irony of having a flat tire where he left her body. And the officer that took her pic and leaked the crime scene pic.
I think that was an accident
You keep saying the flat happened when Stephan drove into the open gate to drop out Madeline. No. He drove a long time on the flat tire. The tire was pretty much shredded when he saw the open gate. He had to stop and change that flat soon ,so when he saw that open gate he pulled in the field up behind the bamboo and put Madeline's body out. He then needed a hard flat surface to change the tire so he drove across the street from Madeline's body and changed the tire. Remember her body is on top of the spare tire. So he had to remove her from the trunk. If a tire is flat the rim will start to cut the tire into small pieces after a while if you continue to drive your car on the hard surface of the road. So he was desperate to find a place to put her out. If he had not had the flat I'm sure he was going to take Madeline to the swamps or the deep woods. That's where her body would not be found for a long time. I did see the picture of her body under the bamboo and she had the blue jeans on. No black shorts. It was blurry because Stephan had thrown grass and other stuff on top of Madeline's body. But you could see it clearly enough. Now that I've heard you and others on RUclips ,I think Jennifer might not have known Stephan did this crime. I think he alone committed the crime. I think he choked her and she might have began to fight him and he ended up unaliving her. I have heard he was strange in many ways. But it is still hard to think Jennifer knew nothing about the $ex abuse. So so much to this story. It's not over

Madeline could have been me and my heart breaks for what she went through. The 3 things that saved me were I was 12 when I was introduced to my abuser, I had a father who was very involved in my life and a grandfather with a shotgun who wasn’t afraid to use it and my abuser knew it. I was one of the lucky ones who got away before it went beyond inappropriate touching.
Stephan Sterns is going to be in prison the rest of his life whether he pleads out or not. They have far too much evidence against him for him to walk. Thankfully he was arrogant or stupid enough, maybe both, to think he wouldn’t get caught.
I can say from experience some mothers would rather use their daughters as an enticement to keep a man they don’t feel worthy of and then they will blame the daughter for the man’s awful behavior!
Mothers should never sacrifice their children for a man. It’s not worth it no matter how you spin it! I just walked away from a relationship because he was treating my teenage son horribly. It’s my job to protect my son.
Obviously Jen and Steven are the biggest culprits here; but Madeline's father is a problem as well. Doesn't matter what happens between you and the ex ex, it was still his job to protect his baby girl no matter what. He failed dramatically. It's one thing to move on and start your own life with a new love; but it's another thing to completely abandon your daughter. Every adult in her life failed her.

Thank you for your detailed coverage. My daughter is Madeline’s age-and this case breaks my heart. Obviously, a mother sending her boyfriend and daughter to another bedroom is all sorts of messed up. But I see three more red flags from your videos. First, Jenn told Maddie to go to bed at 11:00 pm. That is very late for a middle schooler on a school night. My daughter goes to bed by 9:30 pm. Second, if my daughter stays up later, it’s because she’s reading or doing something else in her room. But Maddie did not have a bedroom. As I understood your previous video, she was allocated part of the living room but not for sleeping. Every teenager wants their own room, so it would not be surprising if Madeline was unhappy. Third, making her lack of a bedroom even odder, Maddie and Stephan were sent to the “guest” room. But who has a guest room when residing family members lack a bedroom? It would be a strange situation even if the only people were a mother and daughter. As it was, Jenn served Madeline to Stephan on a platter.

My mother was totally laissez-faire (completely selfish/negligent) and I over compensated and wrapped my three kids in cotten wool to do the opposite of what happened to me with step fathers. Two out of three have rejected me. I don't understand. I just wanted to protect them from danger. My heart breaks for this child who did not deserve this life 💔😢

Well if the mentioned tire tread fragments are actual chunks or pieces of rubber that became disconnected from the main body of the tire, and if the thread he discarded in the trash compactor came from that tire, he must have rolled on that flat for a substantial distance, more than 100-200 feet

It’s very odd to me that Jen Soto hasn’t been seen anywhere - every time there’s been a higher profile case like this, pap photos show up “ person of interest going into lawyers office” or getting out of a car etc. think of all the pictures of Brian Laundrie’s parents while everyone was still looking for Gabby. There has been no sightings of her at all.

@@MandaJeanne I think so too. I’ve seen it happen in a couple of cases (this one and Harmony Monthomery’s dad and Lori Vallow tried to not attend court the day they were showing autopsy photos. These are trials in all different states.
@@MandaJeanneno matter what, a defendant is INNOCENT until a jury decides otherwise. Therefore they shall not be treated as a prisoner. Mail is only to hold them during trial, not punish. So why would we punish an innocent person by forcing them to go to court if they have a lawyer their in their place? The only reason would be to punish and we can’t punish an innocent person. I’m sure they can try to make a law requiring it but until they do…

If, in fact she is, it also could be that the state is waiting on DNA testing in order that paternity can be proven which will add yet another charge of at least a 3rd degree felony child abuse. PS regardless of paternity if in fact, she had been pregnant, regardless of paternity it would constitute another capital felony, if I’m not mistaking.
Her gf stated Maddie's period was usually 2 days ahead of hers but she started 2 weeks late. Not unusual for a 13 yo. ❤

Has anyone watched the Michael Jackson doc? This is giving me similar vibes. Many groomers start grooming from the top… they groom the parents and then start on on the kids once they have the parent fully brainwashed into thinking certain behaviors are normal. I think Jen is complicit and should be held accountable but I also think there’s many layers to this. I’m a single mom and this story breaks my heart. I imagine and single mother who’s overwhelmed would be an incredibly easy target, single parents in general.

Maddie had anxiety about her 13th birthday as she expressed to her friends. I wonder if this night was planned out by mom and Stephan and she knew it would be terrible 😞 Obviously whatever they did led to either a purposeful or accidental homicide. I believe she knew something bad was to come on that day.

Her body was in fetal position therefore the blood settles in the parts of body that was laying to the ground. Thusly I’m sure it was side of face, neck , back , torso and both hands that she was laying on.
She died hours before he put her in the field under the bamboo. She was sitting up in the car for a couple of hours. Then in the trunk of the car in who knows what position. Then down on her side under the bamboo for days. I wonder did all of that repositioning make blood pool in different areas. Just wondering. When my mother died I think blood pooled on her back side because she was lying on her back. She was at home in a bed. She had cancer and a stroke. I also think he was choking her and she fought him and he lost his temper.

You're absolutely right. Most people don't realize just how hard it is. On a lighter note... I coach cheer, and I always have my flyers do an exercise where we compare the difference in lifting a person who is tightening their body vs a person who is just limp weight. It's really amazing, even with small kids how much harder it is to lift "dead weight".
When my 85 pound golden retriever passed away unexpectedly, it took two of us carrying him in a blanket sling to carry him through the house, having to to take several breaks along the way. Extremely heavy!

"GF", this case touch my heart deeply, my granddaughter could living the same story as Madeline and nobody going to know if she is scare to talk about it and I was the only family member that she could count on her behalf but I had been taking away by the court when my visitations stopped because my granddaughter at her 9yrs old had been declining to keep seeing me due to her mind had been control at her home with something that turning my granddaughter accusing me to be bad when I never been bad with nobody and was standing up for her but court dont want to force her and leave her in her own with that possible danger even when the girl around her 4yrs old pointed him as touching her body in the way that was making her uncomfortable and the reason for me to take the situation to court. That man is her step dad and now he is a dad of one grandson and another granddaughter that I'm not allowed to be in their life since then. It is very heart breaking 💔 that the court and laws are acting after proof of kids damages and it is nothing out to protecting kids before any posible abuse happening in their own home. I'm really thinking that will be great as a solution to delete a long term sexual abusing on kids if the goverment includes a school requirement a semestral certificate of clean sexual check up by a professional doctor for each kid until their 18 years old 🤔. For sure something have to be done to preventing repeating the Madeline Soto story😢
Imho, that opportune flat tire was God's way of making sure that witness made eye contact w/this beast. Just my thoughts....*which are also with every single person who knew & loved Maddie. May justice prevail, may peace be with them~ in Jesus' name.

Ya, she first said she said good morning to Madeline! Then she corrected the black shorts, then she kept saying she didn’t see her…she’s so guilty!
He may have drove for a few miles on that flat tire looking for a place to dump the body which is why the tire was in pieces. Plus he would need to remove the body from the trunk before being able to access his spare and Jack.
Same position does not assume she was d ead, it means she was drugged and unconscious.
