A little about Fashion and Style Edit
I launched fashion and style edit just over a year ago and it's been one amazing adventure ever since. I hoped to put all my years working in the fashion industry to good use. How to style outfits and advice and fashion tips on how to get the most out of your own wardrobe. I love discovering new brands, designers and high street fashion, but I always veer towards the more sustainable fashion and ethical brands. I try to buy well, I want my and your clothes to last as long as possible.

Hi Jess! Lovely video as usual. I loved this how to emulate/update a fashion icon. Jane Birkin is a great place to start since it’s a very personal choice. Being from a film background I tend to look at fashion through a movie camera lens. Great fashion icons from the 30s and 40s-Jean Harlow, Katherine Hepburn, LanaTurner and my fav Ingrid Bergman. The 50s were all about Marilyn, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. The 60s are more international: Sophia Loren, Brigitte, Twiggy and Jean Seberg. 70s, 80s and 90s include sporty icons like Cheryl Tiegs, Farrah, and glam icons like Brooke Shields, Cindy Crawford and waifs like Kate Moss. Please include royals, like the Duchess of Windsor, Princess Diana, Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex. And also our own US royalty Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Obama. Can’t wait for each instalment. Hi everyone, carrying on the French theme for a moment I thought you all might enjoy taking a look at Jane Birkin's style. Though she was English she definitely inherited a few French elements in her style. One very stylish family:) In fact I need to feature both her daughters too at some point as they all have their own distinctive effortless looks. The Context here is to Produce Classic Good looking and Timeless Wardrobes. Men's Fashion is more Straight Forward, having Used Individually Tailored Suit, Shoes and Even Socks I must admit I am more inclined to Jane Birkin or Givenchy kind Casual and Everlasting Streetfashion. Well yes, I think it would definitely be great to mix it up and show us options to buy, and also from a sustainability point of view, how you’ve shopped your own wardrobe. Have you seen the wonderful ‘Steal Her Style’ RUclips videos buy ‘UseLess’? She does this so well. But I like that you also show us where you can buy things if you don’t happen to have those items.

I've got no Style Icons, as many of them are "allowed" to pull of certain looks, just because they are THEM, and I know if I'd copy them I'd just look ridiculous. I dress for my environment, occasion and my personal preference!

My colouring is very similar to yours and I am always searching for that tan/caramel shade you so often wear . My budget is small and in less expensive brands there seems to be mainly horrid pastels . Colour is important in giving a more stylish appearance to simple clothes but can be difficult on a budget.

Thank you so much Vicky, I’m so glad you liked it 😊 I’ve just gone back to my old favourite foundation by Changecaille. It gives a light coverage with that dewy glow, I love it. I’ve added a link I think in the description box. The other option I do sometimes and it’s really silly but effective. After I’ve put my makeup on I moisturiser on and with the excess I just dab my hands on my cheekbones. Instant glow🙌🏻 Have a lovely day weekend x

I wouldn’t suggest Audrey Hepburn for the simple reason that she was rail thin so her style can only be emulated by very few. You vlogs are fab..... just up my street! Haha really, because she didn't think it'd suit you? As a teen I got my Mum to perm my hair but it didn't work? Years later she told me she deliberately 'forgot' to put the actual perm lotion in! Haha she didn't want it to wreck my hair!! Happy Sunday Lorraine:) x

Re the fringe, I had one growing up, but then I grew it out which took ages....I think she thought I would regret it and have to go through it all again!
@@lorrainemills2790 Haha, well if you do decide to go for it again I can highly recommend cutting it long, below the eyebrows. That way if you're not keen you have more styling options. Move it to one side or really flick it out so it looks like an extension of layers. Theres lots more options with a long fringe:) x

I googled and found alot about her and her daughters. Even at 72 she exudes an inner beauty and a joie de vivre.
