Well Haus Gaming and Fresh Reviews are/were actual top pro players.
fresh reviews has a higher rank then optimum in apex atleast
more to fps than just aim, but his aim is godly
@@haasii yh being a higher rank than someone doesnt mean = better aimer especially in apex which is more about rotationing, positioning, decision making and comms than mechanical ability in higher ranked games
Facts he’s a real gigachad
Iv'e been using the m2k for the past 6 7months, and it is alien tech, is almost unfair to describe how good it is. If you play fingertip is heaven on earth.
W take
are you not using the starlight mouse as your main?
@@multimanfail I boght 6 starlights (i really liked it) but after using the m2k I just cant go back, is just too good.
Is it a shooter exclusive for you or do you play other games as well? Especially the side buttons are important for me or at least I think do haha
ive played mine for about 5 months now, on and off. still didn’t reach my peak performance.
think i’m missing some stability from how short it is, but this is a skill issue
This is exactly the kind of content that none of the other tech channels will do and why I subbed ages ago
I can't agree with him that the lighter the mouse the better this is simply not true, look at the g502 a chunky BOI with a lot of weight most bought gaming mouse in the world.
Ltt has already done a vid on this mouse bruh
@@badgjr6795 you're implying that most bought = actually the best
@@cheyhey2170 Thats true but think about it comparise a lot of those expensive light mouses to some of the cheaper mouses that might be more heavy as a G502 Main user that thing rocks even tho how much weight it has and all the features for that price would say its better then the G pro Superlight just bc of the insane price mark the GPX has
@@Tens-M I dont know if you're good at games but I used to the use the g502 and its definitely shit for high level fps games the lighter the mouse the more accurate you are it is what it is accept it
A real Zaunkönig only weighs in at 7,5 to 11g. It is the 3rd smallest song bird in Europe. The german name means „king on the fence“ and is pronounced Zaun tsown as in town, könig as in Kœnigsegg.
woah i never knew that ty for telling us
Underrated
I knew they're small, but holy shit you're right. Google says it's 9,1 grams.
3rd smallest lmao why not first smallest
@@kerkertrandov459 well the way math works it would be 3rd because 2 other birds are smaller than it.
5:40 I absolutely love how you included results for the Viper V2 Pro, your graphs and results are my number one deciding factor for gaming mice info and purchase decision making, great video as always!!
I was also curious, how do you make your graphs, do you make them in after effects or illustrator or something else?
I would like to know too
in one video he showed that he has these machines that run all his tests and since because they are machines, his test results will always be 100% accurate, i just don't know how the machines actually work tho
yes same lol
Impressive engineering. Probably doesn't get any lighter than that.
I'm firmly in the palm grip camp and love the shape of my Roccat Kone Pro Air. It's not that light, the battery life is meh and the buttons have some pretravel but the shape and overall performance make it worth it to me.
Just wait for the M1S 🤫
Lol yes I absolutely love the way it feels in my hand. Unparalleled. But was thinking the exact things about the buttons and clicks last night.
@@YomericaORdef the what? 👁👄👁
@@bigsly3332 That will be an extreme version of m1k mouse from Zaunkoenig.
Honeycomb design, bam
Have to agree with Optimum's review 100%. I've had an M2K for just on a year now & would not change for anything except another Zaunkoenig. You simply forget there is something in your hand it is so light. It is also great to be able to converse with the guys who designed & made it. Yes it is totally insane, expensive, finger tip only & utterly light but definitely worth it.
Where do u rest ur hand tho??? Imagine u lay on ur bed but half of it is cut... Ive always loved big mice, the last one I used was Red Dragon Mammoth M801 Length: 121mm Width: 81mm Height: 41mm however it is really old, heavy and outdated sensor. So I upgraded to Cooler Master MM720 which is only 49g and dimensions of 105.42 x 76.52 x 37.35mm quite a bit smaller but now ive gotten used to it and its just fine and i like it a lot more than my previous mouse cuz its so much lighter and more accurate. I cant imagine myself using smaller mice tho, its like driving a small car or wearing small shoes, just doesnt feel big enough ive tried. And then u have m2k which isnt even a real mouse, like where am I supposed to rest or even put my hand ??? They might as well only leave 2 buttons with a stick taped to ur palm no need of a base or anything... That will weight 5-10 grams prob and be even more of a joke
@@kerkertrandov459 If just cruising the net (like now) my hand is resting on the mouse mat & the fingers push the mouse around. If gaming, I use low dpi/sensitivity, so use big movements of the mouse. My hand is then off the mouse mat and my whole arm is moving. As I said the M2K is so light you really don't notice it is there. I have a Zowie EC1-B which is attached to my games server & although it feels comfortable, it feels so heavy. As Optimum said the M2K is very niche & is for finger tip grip only, so you're not resting your hand on the mouse.
Coming from wireless razer - how is the cable? Is it much inconvenient?
@@dripskydrip The cable is thin and fairly light, but stiffer than a paracord cable. I run the cable through a mouse bungie so it's not very noticeable. I don't notice in game. Comparing it to my (wireless) Finalmouse, the cable is I suppose a bit noticeable, but the Finalmouse is a bit heavier so it balances out.
@@boanerges2252 which mouse bungee do you use?
what i love about this is that he saw this mouse on the viewer's setup video and just straight up bought it
Fingertip grip is insanely under appreciated the movements you can make and the freedom you get is insane
Looks uncomfy af.
I’ve owned my m2k for about a year now and I can confidently agree with every point in this video. I used to only be able to palm grip mice so the transition to fingertip was definitely difficult (couldnt even swipe my mouse properly to turn in game) but eventually it just became so natural to use that I refuse to use any other mouse now. Even if this mouse didnt make my aim any better (which it definitely did) I would still 100% recommend it because its so fun to use and unlike anything else. Just waiting for a wireless version at this point :D
When do u think it will come
Bois about to beat the professionals in game 😂😂
What's your highest rank bud?
i'm currently in the same spot as you i exclusively palm grip and cannot fingertip grip for the life of me. did you do aim training to get use to it or just kept playing in general. i wanna pick up the M3K when it drops later on the year.
This is a great review. I kinda thought this thing was a meme. The lack of side buttons is a bummer but it looks like it could fit my grip style.
I love how you keep pushing into new and different PC gaming territories! Keep up the awesome work!!!
I remember when Artosis (Starcraft: Broodwar caster, also plays it at a pretty competitive level) reviews or talked about MK1. 22 grams only 2 buttons, no scroll. It was unheard of! Glad too see that they're serious business and to see another one vouching for their prowess.
Dude, I love your channel more from video to video, you found the mouse review niche and fill it in so great, your testing methods are also top notch and the presentation speaks for itself, keep it up! :>

Judging from his aiming improvement, no protection needed......😁
indeed man he truly has the best PC content on youtube.
Yesssssss! Ever since you had a video of you ordering this thing I have been waiting. Finally.
I'm curious to see how the G-Wolves HSK+ compares to the Zaunkoenig. The HSK+ seems like a budget, wireless version of the MK2. 38 grams for wireless + side buttons seems pretty compelling (even if it is over 50% heavier). Also stunning review as always Ali!
Yea, I have mine preordered, and I hope it's nearly as good as this. People are talking about how the gwolves stuff has QC issues, but it looks like they have someone on the gwolves discord listening intently to feedback, and taking user input for feature requests and color requests.
For those wondering, the Zaunkönig ("fence king") aka eurasian wren is one of the smallest birds here in Germany and a rather feisty one at that

Having used the 53 gram mm710, my viper ultimate feels like a brick now. They could easily go lighter. Those switches in the M2k mouse sound really good.
I think something to consider when it comes to your aim feeling better is the fact that you have gone from this palm claw grip to a fingertip claw grip. This force in grip style does change the way you fundamentally aim. Nonetheless, this is still super impressive
my hand naturally favors finger tip grip so its not always forced. i use Claw now mainly do to switching to the Superlight from the model o- my hand still gravitates to finger tip when im just browsing and doing normal things.
Your ability to make all your videos look futuristic is amazing, you content is such great quality. You deserved way more subscribers that you have now

Ouh Wow He actually made the mouse review on the mouse he bought on a whim on the rating setup video. Such a chad for being so true to his word.
Man is beaming, good stuff optimum
Finally someone in the tech channels that can utilize this mouse 😎
Imagine paying more for less mouse.
mice like this are always kind of annoying for me, because they are basically everything i want/need in a mouse yet fail at the most important part, let me explain. I recently got a starlight and the less weight and basically flat sides, made an extremely noticeable improvement in my aim, like i felt like i somehow accidently downloaded aimbot or something when i first used it, it was that noticeable. this mouse is almost 20g lighter and has completely flat sides (i keep mentioning this because it's great for consistency, if you put your hand in a slightly different spot then the last time you held the mouse, it wont massively affect how the mouse is pointed because of a divot in the side), but i use a finger/claw hybrid grip, when i'm just holding the mouse or flicking, i'm using fingertip, but the second i start tracking my hand goes straight to claw with a bit of my palm on the mouse for control, and you can't do that with this mouse or the hsk i tried, it's just like a really small thing that ruins the whole mouse for me. maybe i should start practicing only playing fingertip.
I miss the days when high-end 120g gaming mouse came with extra 40g weight extension
me too
I'd love to see a larger version of this mouse that supports different grip styles and maybe wireless as an option. The matte carbon fibre body looks gorgeous and the awesome hardware inside of the mouse makes it awesome. I don't think having it be larger or wireless would add too much weight.
@HyperSoop I believe wireless tech would add more weight than having the cable
Was hoping for a quick comparison with the G-wolves HSK but nevertheless, great vid!!!
Would definitely get a wireless version of this
5:50 Audi RS wheel just chillin
for perspective on what peripherals are actually useful for competitive shooters, this is the only channel I watch and trust.
For the people who are worried about going too light I'd strongly suggest biting the bullet and going for it, if you are worried about control you should not get it from mouse weight as that adds inertia which is an uncontrollable factor, instead get your control from slower mouse feet, or a control pad or mud pad. Hell even if you don't care about getting better, the improved ergonomics will definitely help with hand health. Give it a try you never know what you might like.
how would this improve ergonomics? wouldnt it be worse than say palm gripping an ergo mouse where your hand is flatter to the desk and wrist more neutral?
@@cl1ckrr I'm not talking about this mouse in particular I'm talking about lower weight on any mouse. Having less weight would mean you would have to use less force to move it. You may not notice it at first but after long gaming sessions you will 100% notice it when compared to a heavier mouse.
Its possible to have a wirless "mouse" lighter than this. Put all the tech inside the mouse pad [like a huge trackpad] and have a mouse like shell made of a very light material. One problem is how do you transmit clicks from the mouse shell onto the mousepad
hsk plus is something to consider as well if you want side buttons and wireless.
Looks so cool and would love to give it a try but the no side buttons is just too big of a deal breaker for me. I use the side buttons for a ton of different stuff depending on the game.
This mouse was presented in Die Höhle der Löwen in Germany, they has get a deal with a investor and now are selling those mouse worldwide. Only... The price is 299€... This is insane
The production quality this man constantly puts out is absolutely top notch!! Keep it up!!
i remember the video in which you bought it and i‘m really surprised that you like it that much, i‘m currently using a small starlight and might give this thing a try in the future. as always great video!
If anyone interested in this mouse but the price is too steep, check out the Hati HSK which comes in at 37.1 grams. It's around 90$ or so on Amazon. Still a bit pricey but not bad.
I love how small it is, and I'm intrigued by how it's hollow. It'd probably make it easier to clean.
However not having side buttons disqualifies it for me... I hope that big companies take note and start shrinking and lightening their offerings too.
Did you compare click latency at 1000 and 8000 Hz in high-speed mode? In high-speed mode, click latency indeed is identical between all polling rates, but when comparing high-speed 8000 Hz and full-speed 1000 Hz, there is a difference of 0.5 ms.
Hi, why no sensor lag measurement? Thanks for the very good review!
Love your content always educational and honest opinion even being realistic with cost and always give option for all budgets. Thanks for the hard work.
Very expensive but at the same time, such a unique mouse. Great video as always🔥🔥
What does the Finalmouse cost on the secondary market though? I have a feeling it may even cost just as much as this.

optimum swooping in with the sweaty scroll wheel jumping haha
I've been using mine for 1 year now, it never gets old for me, its just perfect, consistent. Regarding the cable, you just need to get your mouse bungee to position the cable just above where you use your mouse, the longer bungee the better. Before using the bungee I would have to think about cable placement way too much.
is it really worth 319 usd tho?
@@charlessssssss Yes, because before this mouse I bought loads of other mice and haven't bought any since.
I use it for both gaming and work, and I work 40 hours a week at my PC. its just better than anything else I've tried in almost every way, so if you are looking for something that performs and is low fatigue this is it.
You should try the HSK+, it’s like a wireless version of this WITH SIDE BUTTONS!!
It sucks compared to the m2k
Great video as per usual, I'd love for you to take a look at the JBL Quantum TWS, they are wireless earbuds (think AirPods Pro) with suitable latency for competitive gaming via 2.4 GHz. I think they are interesting even if you only use them as earbuds and not as a full on headset replacement.
I would absolutely fork up the insane price for this thing if not for one crucial detail: the lack of side buttons. I've been using the sidebuttons for voice-chat push to talk for 20 years so the thought of attempting to shift those binds to my keyboard is pretty much out of the question for me.
The reviewer that good at gaming and reviewing is here
Amazing video! Love your content. Would it be possible for you to compare it to some other "fingertip only" mice like the Starlight-12 Small and G-Wolves HSK wired/HSK+?

glad to see this pop up after discovering the mk1. sad that i cant justify 300 euro for a mouse. plus i've finally found endgame with the mz1 and really wanna try the wireless version with the swappable butt plates.
i feel like mz1 with no bump/butt plate on could give you a similar effect to the zaunkoenig
I think you nailed it, put the same thoughts I had into words. It’s hard to explain but it’s truly beautiful to use. It’s ironic but all the finalmouse marketing actually applies to this more than their own product. I use the pulsar mouse bungee, the cable is the weak spot and that’s saying something. Might try to put an air cord in mine but that limits me to 1khz which I personally think is a well worth trade off. I get cpu usage spikes with 8khz and would need to spend time learning which softwares to use and how to monitor and tune my system, if it’s even at all possible. I’m on 8700k@5ghz. Maybe I can put my usb hub on a different core. Or upgrading cpu may handle it better.
I don't remember if you've discussed this already, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Alienware QD-Oled monitor if you can get your hands on one.
I have one lol - better than anything else out there
You could make a 0g making mouse, perhaps using magnetic levitation on the mousepad and mouse interface. But this would also mean near-zero friction, which would make it even more slippery than the glass pads
At that point, it would be better to just develope a mousepad that tracks your hand. The clicks are done by tapping on the mousepad itself.
Voila, 0g gaming mouse, no debounce delay, doesen't hold you back in speed. Probably unconfortable af, but so is almost everything lighter than the Logitech Superlight.
Problem is the haptic feedback then. Especially the scroll wheel which is basically impossible to implement properly
If they ever make a wireless. It’s an easy pickup! Thanks for getting this on my radar
