So great. I was at this show...was one of the youngest people there. It was like watching 12 hours of legends. Foreigner was a highlight. Can't beat Lou's vocals. Seeing Stephen Stills & Phil Collins having a blast in the choir for "I Want To Know What Love Is" was really fun. This massive show ended with a Led Zeppelin reunion (there have only been 3...Live Aid in 85, this in 88 and then London in 07) that closed the event out with "Stairway to Heaven." What a day.
Lou said in the autobiography that he had no idea the celebrity choir was going to be there until the end of his first verse.
@mikestevenson576 you can tell he looked pleasantly surprised! I felt his vocals go up a notch or two after seeing them!
ISN'T LOU GRAMM PHENOMENAL IN LIVE PERFORMANCES . FANTASTIC AND SO ENERGETIC . THIS BAND IS SO ROCKING I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH . THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT SHOW OF THEIR TALENTS . WISH I WAS THERE AND OF COURSE I JUST LOVE LOU GRAMM FOREVER
Fantastic rock band! Original lineup with singer Lou Gramm as the singer. One of the best rock bands from the 80s!👑⭐️🔥😃👍
Great rock band! Great video.🔥🔥🌟✨🎸😃👍✌️
Thanks for sharing this video
My pleasure😃👍
I won this album off KSJO radio in San Jose CA as a 12 year old......
I STILL HAVE IT!!
Lou Gramm, real voice of Foreigner
Lou Gramm LIVE is even better than Lou in the studio. What a talent!!
Lou and his magical voice!! ❤
What a great man he was, and still is!!
Lou was the best frontman! So🔥🔥🔥!
Lou was sizzling up there! The energy and the talent, a feral cat, magic in motion
I always felt they worn this song out through the 80's and 90's and now that I'm almost 60. Itt has brought tears to me eyes. Sung so beautifully. Am I the only one that shed a tear?
Freaking magical!! Lou IS the GOAT!!! These are memories!!!! Absolutely incredible show
OMG! The quality is amazing now in 4k hd! Foreigner was a top rock band in 1980-2000. Lou is one of the best singers of all time. Thanks Ken for this gem 💎. 🙌🙏😃✌️👍😊👑👑👑
I feel by this time period is when Foreigner could still rock, but Lou was more focused on his solo career.
Hearing Lou belt out 'I want to know' in 1988 in this recording makes me feel it again for the first time. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING !!!!
Every time I watch this I’m more spellbound! Inevitable chills every damn time!🔥🔥🔥
Lou Gramm ❤❤❤❤👍
I remember watching this in 1988. Foreigner damn near stole the show, and the entire memorable concert deserves an official dvd release.
Even on the rewatch this is blowing my mind, every single time, cannot get over the fact they made all this🍾💐🔥bejeweled
Can't wait til Oct. 19, 2024 when the originals & Rick reunite to be inducted & perform at the R&R HOF.
I will be looking forward to that
Love ❤️ Lou Gramm
Roberta Flack ❤️ introducing Foreigner. Mmm, nice 👌
You can say you've made it when Phil Collins sings in your background choir.
Absolutely, and some other pretty iconic 80s singers.
I was there. floor seats were 250 dollars, everywhere else 50 bucks. 12 hour show. Zeppelin came on at 1:30 a.m. and played until 2:05.
Afterwards, we all walked outta there, shuffling out into the night, satisfied and exhausted, like we'd all just gotten laid.
I do feel bad for Zep... going onstage like four hours after they expected... I know that was especially hard on Jimmy Page, and that's murder for a singer if you're trying to set your voice to come on and then don't go on until 4 hours after, at 1:30 AM no less!
Was there an after party? What proceeded? This looks incredible. I was 7 in 1988, just getting into this now. Lucky u were there
One of my favorite songs. I’m still hot for you. Lou ❤❤❤
After this no replacement of Lou !
Going to blow out the freak out of the speakers today.
I was looking for that particular performance for YEARS.
Now you bring it and in 4k res.
Thanks so much :D
👍✌️
Play this LOUD!
Ele é muito bom nunca mais averar outro iqual meu lindo ti amo pra sempre ❤❤❤ Brasil
Thats Billy Joel's saxaphonist Mark Rivera
Ahh great! I have a strong childhood memory, when I was just getting into music and becoming a drummer, of this great version of Urgent. I never thought I would catch it again. You made my day! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you!!!!!!🤝❤️
You're welcome!!✌️
Der Sänger könnte echt bei ACDC mitmachen....
the way the band suppose to sound!!not this cover/tribute band sheit band that they had for the last 15 plus years!!!!
Rustier than nails on a barn roof, but still fun!
Why do you say that? They sound better than many of their 1985 shows, and jukebox hero is a half note higher in this show, and Lou hit all the notes. I think it's not rusty at all
@@medicmick they literally screwed up in the middle of “Urgent” and Lou Gramm admits that they’re rusty. They hadn’t played together live in years.
@@OvernightDrive I'm sorry they didn't live up to your high standards of live music😪☹️
Only Mick and Rick are a bit rusty, everyone else sounds excellent, Lou sounds better than ever here. Love the version of Urgent here, so powerful. @@OvernightDrive
