🙌 Lou Gramm & Foreigner 🙌. These guys have brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. The music of the 70s & 80s, guess we thought great music would last forever.
Great to see that Lou's in good health and still rockin'. Foreigner may be considered a cheesy 70's formula AOR/Camaro rock band by some people, but they wrote some great songs and he's one of the best rock singers of all time.
when he approaches the microphone,he commands,IMO the greatest voice I've ever heard,he can sing anything by anyone, that is what makes him the man,we are lucky to be even alive in his time
The song URGENT: The original sax version was from a man who was playing a local club in NYC. Lou Gram went and listened to the last set . He then asked him to play on this song. He went straight to the recording studio and met the band. The sax player did only 4 takes and said that's it! I'm done. The best was taken from the 4 takes and that is where the sax version of the song came from. Per Lou Gram in his autobiography.

Hi there! Lou took lessons to improve his vocals. It's was the female opera singer from Italy. She could teach him, how to breath right and to work with the whole body. I read this story in one Forum for vocalists.
I feel as though Steve and Lou could've talked for hours based simply upon mutual favorite artists. They connect so beautifully. And the look Lou gave Steve when he mentioned "I Want To Know What Love Is" is hilarious. I'm guessing it's because it was a point of consternation between Mick and Lou, but it just cracks me up.

R G I clicked on this video not only bcuz I love Lou but I also wanted to see just how bad this interviewer is. From what I’ve seen so far it’s living up to what I was told.
*+R G* I understand why you might say that, bro; but think about this: Here you have two members of two of the greatest and most influential bands in rock and roll history, the Sex Pistols and Foreigner. So this is not like Charlie Rose interviewing Bruce Springsteen. I love Foreigner as much as anyone else. I loved, bought, followed and saw them in the Seventies, and Lou Gramm is one of the top 6 or 7 rock vocalists of all time in my book, maybe higher. The Sex Pistols are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Foreigner not; I have been commenting all over RUclips for years on the singular outrage that Foreigner has yet to be inducted. Foreigner's output and musical influence was incredibly prolific through their first four albums compared to most major bands, let alone the Pistols, so it seems unjust at best that the Sex Pistols get to rub elbows with Foreigner at all, let alone beat them into the Hall by two decades, it looks like. But the Sex Pistols, in addition to being a top-tier group in their time, as Foreigner was in theirs, were an international, cultural and musical phenomenon as well, which Foreigner never were, as good and better than the Sex Pistols as they were. And, the Sex Pistols' musical and cultural contribution, aside from their one album (which was itself phenomenal, as was _Foreigner IV_ ), consisted ENTIRELY of their not giving a fuck about people like Margaret Thatcher, and the Queen, and Bill Grundy, and, specifically . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . Robert Plant . . . . . . . and Freddie Mercury . . . . . . and . . . . . . _Lou Gramm._ That loathing of rock royalty was their greatness, respect it or not, and it served the music industry well, really paving the way for the Rap/Grunge comeuppance that ensued for the better part of two decades. Lou, of all people, knows this. Lou knows that he himself never was a dirty white boy, but knew that Steve Jones and the Pistols were the real thing when they came along - and still are - and Lou wouldn't respect Steve one whit if he had come on as anything else in this interview, including as Rodney the Researcher. Steve gave Lou his plugs. Much more consideration than *_that,_* though, and I promise you, Lou *_would_* have walked out of this interview. _That's_ the way _they_ see it. And that's the way it is.
@@Stratubery I guess this just goes to show you the IQ level of those who gravitate towards punk rock! LOL the interviewer is a lazy idiot in my opinion!

@@Stratubery the rock and roll hall of fame is a bunch of self serving aging hippies who couldnt play a musical instrument if there life depended on it! no wonder why they recognise the limited tallent level of a punk rock band compared to super talented Mick Jones and Lou Gramm!
Get up off your knees and quit blowing the guy. He's just some fucking singer.
Glad to be born in this era and watch him performs during his time in the band when music is just pure talent..far better than musics now a days..
